Born Xerius, Pitchblack (usually known as Pitch), was born May 22nd, 2353, to loving parents on the planet of Pheonix. As Xerius, he was a bright, intelligent, yet vicious child, who was eventually surrendered to the ISC's military arm, the ISF, and placed almost directly into OCS, at the age of 17. OCS was just a cover for something else, though, the ISF funneling him into a black project known as the Raptor Engineering Program, a super-soldier genetics program, integrating humans with draconic entities discovered on a world close to the galactic core. The program was extremely successful, and Xerius, now known by his codename of Pitchblack, was released, now with the rank of Captain, back into the fleet arm of the ISF. He commands a Mercury-class combat destroyer, the ISF Reliant.

-Note: Due to the genetic tinkering, Pitch is able to assume both an anthro form, and a fully draconic one.
