"Right-o, chief." He pilots the UAV to a higher altitude and larger radius, and sets it to search the air below it as well. "What do you think might be around here?"

Mattiaz glances at the morph and then at the ranger and his teammates. "Affirmitave, Command. The runner is in custody."

Mitsuo's eyes widened as he surveyed the wound, "Sarge! You may wanna have a look at this," unsure what to make of this, Mitsuo began checking other areas on the ranger and listing off what he found, "pulse has risen, breathing rate is high. Sarge, they never showed us anything like this in the first aid training course." Mitsuo was on the verge of panicking, not knowing what to do. This was a job for a well trained medic, not an explosives guy like himself.

Erosworn's eyes suddenly flashed open. He flung his up and arms up an tried to grab the one that was working on him. More than likely a successful surprise attack, he would throw the person off of him and off to the side with ease - far stronger than any human should be. He was up on his feet in seconds, despite the wound to his leg. Despite how aggressive he just seemed he stopped where he was then started to lean over, groaning in pain. Muscles twitched on his body and started to expand, in moments he had made the full transformation into a maned wold anthro.

Provided that no-one had already put him down somehow, the completely feral creature found he was pretty much cornered by all the people here, only serving to piss him off more. His eyes locked on the one that was in the weakest position right now, the one he had(at least tried) to knock to the floor earlier. The feral anthro wolf would pounce at him, if successful he would pin him to the ground and try to maul his face off - oh my!

Mitsuo had not expected the sudden and violent awakening and was tossed away like a rag doll. He had only begun to process what had happened when the wolf fell upon him. His eyes widened as he saw the attempt to maul his face and he acted without hesitation. The scales on his face had surfaced just in time to stop the wolf's claws from piercing skin, but the blunt force struck Mitsuo like a sack of bricks.

Mitsuo swore as his head was smashed violently against the floor and his hands shot up in an attempt to grab the feral creature's wrists. His body was in the last leg of morphing as he brought his legs up and attempted to give the wolf a sharp, doubled-legged kick to the chest.

Mattiaz gasped and let go the radio when he glimpsed out of the corner of his eye the down ranger transform so suddenly. The newly made were was obviously not in control of himself. How well he remembered the counseling and encouragement his parents had given him and his siblings on each of their first changes on how to deal with the new sensations and emotions and body parts.

This fellow as going to need that help too. But they weren't going to be able to offer it here.

In the line of battle he'd had to make some snap decisions before. He'd dropped the feral with one shot and the fellow was doing well. He could do it again.

Mattiaz swung the Thumper up and aimed, looking for a good shot that wouldn't hit Mitsuo instead.

The sudden brawl caught Russell by surprise. As the rest of team reacted he too raised his Neg gun but found his line of fire blocked by Mitsuo. "If anyone has the shot take it!" he yelled as the newly transformed morphic continued on its rampage.

Outside the tower a small four rotor UAV, looking more like a toy then a piece of military hardware hovered. Its tiny camera recording the entire scene. It ran on electric motors and gave of virtually no exhaust making it nearly invisible to infrared observation.

The kick made the newly transformed creature yelp in pain, but it seemed determined not to let go of his first victim. He tried to shift his legs and weight so they pinned down the leg's of the one he was attacking - another kick like that would definitely get him off. He growled as the creature beneath him transformed into some creature with hard scales, preventing him from going any more damage with his claws, it didn't stop him from trying to use blunt force though.

Mitsuo held of the attacking were with all his might. He heard Russel's order and swore, realising he needed to get a handle on the situation. He felt the were's weight shift and and idea came to him. Placing his hands over his head and braced himself. Taking a deep breath, he rolled onto his shoulder blades and bucked upwards, attempting to flip the feral were over his head.

Mattiaz grunted as Mitsuo and the feral were still too close for him to get a clean shot in.

The kick was successful, mostly. He was kicked off his opponent, but not over his head. Erosworn tripped over himself and tried to climb back to his feet, though it was likely one of the many people aiming at him would have already fired by this point.

As soon as Mitsuo managed to kick the feral who managed to stand back up clean and exposed, Mattiaz fired the thumper, not hesitating in his mind as he had done before. Whoever this man was would need help too; but not until he was able to be calm.

As soon as the former Ranger was exposed, Russell took the shot. Unfortunately for the it, this was at the exact same moment Mattiaz also fired. As the net impacted the four carefully balanced weights wrapped themselves around the large Morphic, securely wrapping it in the ultra stong metal mesh. At the same time the large black stunner round embedded itself in the Morphic's shoulder. The wolf quickly collapsed in a heap as all of its muscles spasmed uncontrollably. As it fell to the ground a tense silence once again fell over the watch tower. In the distance a very muted whine could be heard as the tiny UAV turned and left the site. It had seen all it needed to see. "Good shot Mattiaz," Russell grunted as he stepped towards Mitsuo, "Get a muzzle on this one too. And tell me your UAV got some of that, Jackson."

He knelt down next to Mitsuo who was still laying on the floor. "Are you okay? He looked he got you good."

Mattiaz rushed over and collected the other end of the thumper from the feral's backside. He then gingerly drew taut a muzzle over the feral's snout. He coudn't help but feel sorry for the ranger. He glanced with one eye at Mitsuo to see how he was doing.

Jackson pulls out the control device and nods. "Yep. Got a good bit of The action recorded, and as far as I can see, we're still in the clear for the surrounding area..."

he holsters his gun and looks to the ranger. "Poor fellow... I remember when I was converted..."

Mistuo looked up at Russel, slowly morphing back into his human form, "I'll be okay Sarge, I got my face scales up before he could do any serious damage. Think I'm gonna have a rather large goose egg on the back of my head though, a pair of black eyes as well." He sat up gingerly, rubbing his head.

Mattiaz rose from the ranger's side and glances curiously and with surprise at Jackson. "You were converted?"

Jackson Nods. "Yeah, When I was 14 I got an emergency blood transfusion from what turned out to be a were-fox. That was quite interesting for my parents the next day..." he smirks a bit.

"Anyways, We going to bring this poor fellow in?"

Mattiaz blinks then laughs lightly at hearing Jackson's brief tale. "Puberty's bad enough when you know you're going to change. Wow!"

He glances down at the two ferals and then back to Russell. "We didn't expect two, sir. Are we going to have enough room in the jeep, or even to get them down?"

"We'll just strap one to the top if we have to" Mike slung the net gun around behind him as he keeled next to the feral they'd been chasing, and after a couple moments, he had the beast hoisted no his shoulder with a grunt "This would be so much easier morphed..." he grunted "Someone grab the other one before he wakes up"

((OOC: sorry bout being quiet so long in this one...kinda got stuck on where to jump back in after I kinda fell out and missed all the action ^^; ))

As the team discussed the incident, Russell reached into one of his combat harness's pockets and pulled out a dark black Satellite phone. It provided direct contact with the primary leadership of 2SMD, and was only meant to be used in extreme cases. The called was answered on the second ring. "Its the middle of the night Sergeant. You had better have a good reason for calling me," Colonel Richards, the commander of the outfit muttered.

"Sir, we have a situation. We tracked down the feral in the Yellowstone area and caught it as it attacked a park ranger. But this isn't an ordinary morphic. The Ranger was bitten but transformed into a feral state instantly. We have them both in custody, but we don't know if the feral attacked more people tonight," Russell said as he watched the team gather around the two bodies.

"So let me get this straight, we have a feral in custody that was converting people? I hope there's more to this, for your sake."

"The Ranger converted instantly, no signs, no symptoms, just instant morphing. We could have a serious containment failure here if the Feral's victim's have the same capacity to change people."

There was a brief pause and a muted grunt as the colonel climbed out of his bed. "Alright Russell, we'll have transport to bring you home at the local airport, and we'll send another team to relieve you in the area. You better have something on this, we don't need a new team getting delusions of grandeur," the call went dead before Russell could respond. He turned the phone off, then pocketed it as he turned to his team. He was happy to see Mike already holding one of the bodies.

"This was no ordinary conversion, it was way too fast, especially for a mere bite. At least in your case, Jackson, it was a full blood transfusion. Lets get them into the truck we'll make them fit. And be sure to get the Sedative IV in the vein this time, that last training exercising wasn't pretty," He ordered.

Mitsuo stood with a grunt and began to gather the scattered first aid supplies. As he finished putting the supplies into his backpack, he rolled his right shoulder and grimaced. Reaching around, Mitsuo probed under his shirt and froze. He yanked his hand out and wiped it across the underside of his boot.

He stood quickly and slung his backpack up onto his back before stading rigidly at attention. He waited for Russel to lead them out.

Mattiaz's expression turned grim as he listened to Russell's conversation. With a quick intake of breath, he moved over to the second feral and nodded to Jackson. "Hey, can you give me a hand with this fellow? I don't think I can pick him up myself."

"Right." he replaces his controller in his bag and goes over to Matthias and puts an arm under the limp body and helps lift the hefty guy up. "oof, this guy is heavy..."

"Dang, yeah!" Mattiaz grunts as he and Jackson start heading down the stairs with the second feral. "I really don't want to trip right now."
