Dangers of the final frontier

For the record, I have not given up on Empire, I still hope more people are going to join, but I want to put this one up just cause I think it will be fun.


Background of the Universe:
Towards the beginning, approximately around the year 2690, organic life was dominate in the universe, spreading around a large amount of galactic systems and colonizing various worlds. Androids were still in their prototype stages, designed to aid organic life in surviving on newly colonized worlds. As the Androids slowly became more and more sophisticated over the course of 27 years, they realized they were being mistreated and rebelled against their organic creators.

During the ensuing 15 year war, known as the Cyber Rebellion, organics became aware of how much they had relied upon machines and for the first 3 years of the war, organic life seemed to be in extreme danger, however, with the development with ion weaponry, organic life managed to grind the onslaught to a halt. Seeing a standoff was all that would come of the war, the two factions managed to forge an uneasy peace, forging the Twin Spear Alliance.

The Cyber Rebellion had a major side effect upon the organics and many extremists decided to undergo a dangerous and potentially lethal procedure to transmit their minds into an empty android body. Early tries ended in fatalities, or so it was thought. However, the transmitting personality had simply become trapped in a dense particle field and gave rise to the spirits.

The first spirits took 5 years to take shape from the trapped personalities, becoming condensed clouds of sentient particles. They came to the Twin Spear Alliance in peace and soon the Triad of Government was forged for common goals among the three branches.

During the next 70 years, the Triad continued to expand through the universe and it was inevitable that they would meet more races, some friendly and others hostile. Currently the Triad has 2 major enemies: The Seikalt: an empire of several alien races that find the idea of considering technology to be on the same level as you just straight madness and a blight upon the galaxies, and the Rouges: a group of androids who refused to make peace and escaped to set up their own self-sufficient empire.

The Central Triad of Government:

The Central Triad of Government is composed of three factions: Organic creatures, Androids and other robotic individuals, and Spirits

The organic branch is composed of, what else, organic creatures. This of course ranges from sentient life forms native to Earth and other alien species that can be listed in this category. The organic branch of the Triad focuses on policing the portion of the Universe controlled by the Triad and defense against other factions beyond the Triad.

The cybernetic branch of the Triad is composed of both fully cybernetic individuals and individuals who are more than 65% cybernetic. This branch focuses on gathering resources and construction as well as maintaining current constructions.

The spirit branch is composed of beings that are composed of sentient particle fields. The spirit branch concerns itself with chronicalization of information and aiding in the organization of events as well as being the vast majority of the court system due to their natural neutrality.

Note of interest, regarding Spirits: Being condensed clouds of particles allows spirits to have certain abilities. Their "body" shape is directly related to the size of the particle field that they are made of and personal preferences on outward appearances. Also, spirits are able to "phase" through objects such as walls through razor thin cracks by stretching and thinning the particles that they are made of. On the subject of reproduction, Spirits are asexual and reproduce via transmitting a "copy" of their personality into a particle field. Many times, in order to maintain diversity, two or more spirits will transmit "copies" into one particle field, where they mingle and combine into a new personality. The weakness of Spirits is a fatal weakness to particle disruption fields, which are the only known way to "kill" a Spirit.

One thing to make note of is that not all Spirits are neutral beings. Like all sentient beings, Spirits have their criminals and paragons, though they only make up approximately 5% of the Spirit population.



Recent History (The Beginning of the RP information): Recently colonies on the edge of Triad space have reported receiving long range SOS transmissions from both the Seikalt and the Rouges. All the files were sent to the planet of Aires 5, the main base of the Triad's government. These transmissions all spoke of death and destruction, always cutting out before they could explain what was attacking.

The Triad was deeply concerned and after much debated decided to send an exploratory team to investigate. We are that team, an elite group of soldiers, scientists, and observers assembled to find out what is happening just beyond our space. We have traced the signal to an uncharted world a few hundred light-years outside of our systems.

From space, the planet looks peaceful and serene... except for a single massive crater near the planet's equator and a recently created debris field in the planet's orbit. We are currently prepping for our exploration drop.

Appearance: 5' 8" tall gray furred fox. Orange eyes. Fur on his back has a tribal pattern dyed into it with blue coloring, covering most of his back. Wears a mark IX personal protection armor suit, which is a medium plate system with a light defensive shield.
Training: Light Assault
Bio: Shade grew up in a large city on Aires 5, always close to the politics and big decisions. By the time he entered High School, he knew that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become a soldier. Graduating High School with average grades, Shade enlisted in the military and was shipped from posting to posting, depending on where it was deemed he was needed.
His posting eventually came back to Aires 5 after an attempted assassination on a government official, becoming a personal body guard to the official. However, the offender was captured and Shade was on his way to being shipped out again when he was selected to go with the exploratory group.

Appearance: Varible in size, but the form is normally the same.


Training: Infiltration/information gathering.

Bio: Levra got her start in the information over three decades ago, it started small. Mainly just spying on those that she has an interest, being a spirit aided this immensely. Later in life she was considered for a job to gather some information discreetly, while the nature of this information is unknown it is known that it had her hooked on the game of taking what other people held dear. For the last fifteen years she was spying off and on The Seikalt gather information.

During her time in enemy territory she gained a reputation of being able to get into area thats other could not. Partiality because of her species, partly because of her own skills. Because of her history, she chosen to be an observer for the current mission.

Name: Asir Darangis

Age: 147 (average life expectancy of his species is 560 years)

Gender: Male

Species: Dioneran Dragon

Appearance: 9ft high, smooth white scales, repitilian face, elongated back of the head (like Alien), three differently sized pairs of arms, digitigrade legs, 9ft tail, four cybernetically reinforced dragonfly wings. His biggest pair of arms and his lower legs have been replaced with cybernetics.

Outside the ship he wears an Arlov XI armored exosceleton that contains mechanical tools and medical equipment. It is too heavy to fly with it but has an emergency undress function. Under the exo he wears an environment suit with little armor.

Training: Cybernetics engineer, field medic, drone operator. Weapon of choice are spider drones.

Bio: Grew up on Vauh, one of the three inhabited planets of the Dionera system. Vagh is the one farthest from the sun and 90% of the area of most cities is subterran. Asir allways had an interest in cybernetics and joined the military to get the fundings to study cybernetics and eventually also medicine and robotics. He participated in several military operations and volunteered for this exploration.

Appearance: Stands at a full 7'9", broad shouldered strong build, technically 'bald', his fur is a rich black in color with paling white stripes that are beginning to fade into his black fur from age, even his rich black fur is beginning to show the tell of time, with faded silver hairs sprouting and blending with the rest of his fur across his body. his right eye is a faded blue in color while his right is an iridecent, glowing green iris that marks a bionic eye. he weighs in at a staggering 513 pounds of muscle and metal. nearly 76% of his body mass has been replaced with cybernetic enhancements and replacements for damaged or destroyed 'parts' his entire skeletal structure was replaced and augmented as well as both arms and his legs were replaced over the years after they were destroyed, though fur and skin still grow over most of the surfaces, there are spots that the metal muscles show through adn his entire left foot is completely exposed, skin and fur refuse to grow on it for an 'unknown' reason. he is missing most of his left ear, six inches of his tail and his face and body are littered with scars ranging from small knife wounds to gashes and old bullet holes. his face is so scarred and worn, he could make babies cry by smiling at them

Bio: Not much is known about his past, his files are riddled with places he 'has never been' and projects and missions that 'never happened'. what is known is that he's fought in numerous was and skirmishe's, and at one point was believed to be a part of the turning point to a major battle. when asked about his age, he says "I quit counting a couple centuries years ago", wether he's being serious or sarcastic, is still up for debate. he is a war hardened veteren who seems to be a good bit beyond his years with experiance and poise of one who 'is not to be messed with'.
