    all that is needed is a line of sight and time necessary for the building to make it from orbit to ground and the unpacking and set up time.

    140% of normal. So if 100% reduced to by one half. 140% would be half and then it would drop by more afterwards.

    Yes better... But unless you guys are going to have a lot weaker things in future areas they're a bit OP, you might have to weaken them or I might have to strengthen mine to create the correct balance.

    Since Brome won't be getting around to this for a bit, I might move on to the next structure soon.

    Well Sam, my units are very inexperienced... I would see this as a great down fall to any military. Plus they don't have actual shields... practically shadows of them at best.

    Thx that's looks good Nelle.

    How exactly would you program troop in inexperience into a game? Would your units be the only ones with a chance to miss? Would they have reduced stats? Would they have a chance to flee in the middle of battle?

    I understand Sam. But yes... their is always a chance for any of these to happen. Plus the units I had made would equal yours... they have less life and attack, which I "wasted" on evening them out at supposed higher prices.

    Nation Description: The Draconian Legions are the largest organizations that hold sway over the Draconians. Although military service is compulsory for all Draconians, many actually choose much gentler pursuits, and even the military has a rigid code of honour that dictates that the Draconians must help any person, alien or otherwise, that is in trouble. This has earned them many allies, including the diminutive Gekkos (A separate nation that won’t be appearing), and the mysterious unicorn-like people to whom their adopted girl Ferraye belongs.
    The Draconians are perhaps one of the most adaptable peoples around; their unique metabolism can switch between warm and cold blooded in a matter of hours, and their sole combat doctrine is “Flexability and adaptability”. Additionally, with their huge, membranous wings, all Draconian infantry is capable of incredible leaps, allowing them to quickly traverse difficult or otherwise impassable terrain.

    Nation's Focuses:
    Adaptability; all Draconian units are capable of being utilised in more than their primary role, although they might not be quite as effective in these “secondary” or even “tertiary” roles as they are in their primary. However, there are examples of units that are frighteningly effective in these secondary roles, such as the infamous “Skyrazor” anti-air tank.
    Mobility; Draconian units tend to be highly mobile, capable of classic “Blitzkrieg” tactics and rapid ground deployment. They also augment this capability with “Blackraven” dropships.
    Orbital drop; the Draconians always start their orbit-to-surface assaults with an orbital “Hot Drop”, a orbital drop pod landing, unless there’s a friendly base available to land on. Even then, they will often drop troops right into the middle of the battle, as the drop pods are well-armoured (they’re not expected to fly for long, after all), and instantly become bunkers once landed. Keep an eye out for a “Hellthunder” warbike assault; they always come screaming in from orbit, often deploying next to, or on top of enemy units.
    “Burst” shields; In addition to conventional shields, Draconian units generally have a “Burst” shield system, giving them a chance to completely negate an incoming attack once their primary shields are down. Unfortunately, these “burst” shields are unreliable at best, as they don’t activate for every incoming attack.

    Nation's Downfalls:
    Expensive; Draconian units are expensive to construct, and launching an orbital assault costs resources.
    Self-deactivation; care needs to be taken in placing mechanical units on a battlefield, else you’ll end up taking your own units out of the fight with the EMP weapons that the Draconians use prolifically. Fortunately, their infantry units are generally immune (having less electronics), although power-armoured troopers are still vulnerable.
    Expensive upgrades; Draconian research upgrades are expensive, and take quite a while to be completed. However, they are more effective than normal because of this. There are also less potential disasters from ill-done research.
    Large; Draconian units are almost always large, including their infantry, as Draconians stand at two and a half metres, towering over almost everyone around them. This lends them a slightly menacing air, but also makes them big targets.

    Town Center – Draconian Colonial Defence Base

    A specially-built drop pod designed to rapidly set up a colony, even in a hostile environment, and organise its defences. It is dropped, entire and fully-staffed, from a ship in orbit. When it lands, it embeds heavy Duranium spikes deep into bedrock and unfolds. It contains an entire CIC, and has several attachment points, to which turrets, missile silos, radar systems, and even a satellite launch system can be attached. These structures gain a direct link with the Defence Base and gain a bonus to their accuracy, firing speed, and energy costs.

    Health: 1800 (Base: 1000)
    Shields: 500 (Base: 100)

    Worker - Draconian construction exoskeleton

    A heavy powered suit equipped to construct buildings on the ground and in space. It can carry enormous loads, and repair mechanical units in the field. It is also devastating in close quarters, as it is equipped with a pair of huge chainsaws, and can pick up and throw large objects, such as boulders, or even sections of larger units, or entire infantry personnel.

    Health: 50 (Base: 10)
    Shields: 20 (Base: 5)

    Shadow Fortress Siege tank

    The Shadow Fortress is a huge, super-heavy tank with a twin-barrelled main cannon, and two secondary gatling gun turrets, plus a cupola gun and two rocket racks. It also features a bulldozer-like blade, which can be deployed to act as cover for up to three entire Draconian squads. While the dozer blade is deployed, the tank is capable of movement, but is very slow. A research upgrade gives the Shadow Fortress a shield dome when deployed. The dozer blade is next to invulnerable, being a solid slab of Duranium, leading to an extremely expensive and very heavy unit.

    Health: 1700 (Base: 900) (Dozer blade immune to regular damage; remains after unit destruction, becoming neutral garrisonable cover [like the crashed Pelicans and Warthogs in Halo Wars]. Nuclear strike sufficient to destroy dozer blade)
    Shields: 400 (Base: 200) (Shield dome adds further 500 to shields, but shield dome protects units around the Shadow Fortress, not the Shadow Fortress itself.)
    (Most costly unit in Draconian army; requires extensive research to deploy)

    EMP shielding:

    At the cost of an increase in unit build time, all units become resistant to EMP effects.

    Burst Shields:

    Automatically equipped at the start of a match; when a Draconian unit’s shields go down, it gains a chance to make an “Invulnerable” save against an incoming attack.     This thing is stupidly overpowered to point where it isn't even funny. First, I don't think a unit should more HP that your main base does, let alone four times that amount. Secondly, Indestructible, really? I want to see something live through an antimatter powered orbital bombardment.

    Update: OK, done. I've reduced the thing's health. The dozer blade's still next to invulnerable, but the reason is given now, and it's not designed to withstand a nuclear strike.
    It's also the most massive, most expensive, and hardest to get unit that the Draconians can field, even more so than their Radiance battlemech.

    I feel like I'm holding this up, so I'll just post the descriptions of my base and worker and then add pics later.

    Primary Base and Storage

    Description: A low to the ground, mostly underground structure that keeps all of its storage areas and most of its workings hidden beneath the surface. This squat structure is designed to be able to withstand nuclear detonations while keeping all of its resources well protected. It is defended by heavy shields and powerful armor (In line with the AGSF specializations), and has multiple ports allowing the workers to easily give a continuous line of resources into the base.

    HP: 2500 (base 1000)

    Shields: 600 (Base 300)

    Armor: 40% damage reduction, upgradable to 70%

    Special construction: None

    Burrowing (It can retract almost its entire structure underground, only a little bit remains visible when such is done. Pics will be added for a detailed example later.)

    Worker unit: Resource Obtaining And Construction Hazard (R.O.A.C.H) Worker

    The ROACH Worker is a sturdy, general purpose device used to build structures, mine materials, and occasionally help build units. It is equipped with a nanolathe device for the finer details of construction, a host of mining tools for obtaining resources, and two powerful clawed arms on the front for moving large loads. The device is automated and linked by standard QEC linkup to the base for maximum efficiency of coordination.

    HP: 50 (Base 10)

    Shields: 30 (Base 5)

    Armor: 25% (Base 0)

    All terrain, amphibious (The thing can climb steep ledges and submerge itself under water, like a worker from Supreme Commander)

    I've seen this from a couple people now so I guess I'll explain it thoroughly now.

    When I listed the (base) next to my stats, that was to show everyone what a basic version of that structure would have with no benefits or defects.

    Health: 1400 (base 1000)
    Shields: 150 (base 300)
    Armor: 10% damage reduction (base 0%)

    No Special Construction (base none)


    The bases stay the same for everyone(a few of you have a different number there). This isn't really a big deal, but I'm not sure if it was affecting your stats, which seem a bit high...

    Next structure will be the barracks and it's units. I want to remind that this is my species main focus, so my units might look OP. But remember my structures look like the weakest ones here(except maybe Nelle's), and I have other weak unit from upcoming buildings. At any rate, it should help you gauge how strong your units should be if mine are the strongest you can get.

    Description: Shaped a bit like an egg, this building's design is a bit simpler than the Town Center is. It provides a full living habitats on higher levels for troops, on the lower levels the various armories are stationed.

Suit also has a much larger power core, giving the wearer enough strngth to jump over most obstacles. It carries a plasma rifle to take out ground troops and a missile launcher to take out fliers.

    Cost: 155

    Damage: 14 (vs ground)
    Damage: 16 (vs air)
    Range: 6 (vs air & ground)
    Can jump over obstacles and cliffs
    Slow as a heavy vehicle

    Wolvend Destroyer - Advanced Infantry

    Description: A unit type only recently added to the Lightfirean arsenal. Elite veteran Wolvend Warrior are put into the most advanced suit available to Lightfirean kind. This suit is as strong as main battle powered armor, but is lighter. They also carry an advanced plasma beam weapon that gains power over time, and advanced targeting scanners. This unit is very expensive.

    Shields: 40
    Armor: 35%
    Cost: 250

    Damage: 12(+2 per second in sustained fire)
    Range: 6 (vs ground & air)

    The Specialist - Sniper

    Description: Looks pitiful compared to the powered armor boy scouts around him, but looks can be deceiving, especially when you can't look at him. The less you have to cloak the better the device runs, so not wearing any powered armor is a benefit. This unit is an expert of espionage and marksmanship.

    Health: 25
    Shields: 5
    Energy: 50
    Armor: 5%
    Cost: 125

    Damage: 30 (slow firing rate, limited to biological units)
    Range: 15

    Cloak - Always active
    Backstab - Should you manage to get the sniper into melee range behind any biological unit, he can make a one shot kill: Costs 25 energy
    Sabotage - Does 50 damage per second to any building or mechanical unit, requires melee range: a worker can disable it: Cost 25 energy

    The very fact you forgot about me says alot doesn't it? Besides, how can I play now? The strongest infantry's already out there and vehicles aren't much of anything because they're something you build at a later period and aren´t even useful in certain scenarios. In general I don't know what to do now...
