Dangers of the Final Frontier IC
The shuttle bay of The Tri-edge was one of the cleanest and most organized areas of the ship, but today, crates of supplies and people littered its metal floor. Science teams and their military escorts ran to and fro after supplies knocked loose from the sudden stop of FTL speeds. Observers watched from a balcony off to one side of the room, carefully detailing the initial plans on their mobile computers.
At least 20 shuttles were currently on the launch deck, mechanics doing last minute preparations as each shuttle was packed with as many crates as possible to still allow room for passengers.
Shade stood off to one side of the bay, trying to not get in the way, but also not get singled out to help with packing. He was inspecting his rifle, even though he'd already done all he could to clean and prep it, trying to make it look like he was actually doing something.
He rolled his eyes as he watched two Observers get into an argument, "God, what's so hard about checking the place out that we actually need to plan it out in advanced. Seems simple enough to me: go in, find out what happened, shoot anything that gets hostile, get home." he said to himself.

"You know..." A spirit popped into existence next to Shade without warning, and from its tone it was plainly obvious that it didn't care about startling him. The Spirit for the moment was about a fifth of its normal size floating about fifty centimeters to the right of shade. "...That is the kind of attitude that is more than likely to get you two killed, and we are really unlucky, all of us killed. Shooting things until they are not moved, and then beating them for good measure is not the way to go about things. Hell it won't even kill somethings. Me being a prime example of this." The spirit dragon seemed to be more than a bit spiteful about Shades idea about going about things at the moment.
"So if you want to know why we need planning its simple really when you think about it, though right now i'm beginning to doubt your ability think at the moment. If we plan or incursion ahead of time, than we don't have to worry about what we are going to do when we get there. And if we plan, then we are going to have some idea of we need to do when we get over there, like objectives that need to met and so forth. Because somethings can't be fixed by putting a bullet in them, things just don't work like that, no matter how much you want them to. I[m sorry but thats just how it works." The spirit settles into the in the air, moving about a bit...

Re: Dangers of the Final Frontier IC
Shade jumped about a foot in the air when the Spirit startled him. He spun quickly, stuttering a hasty apology, "Hey, hey, I didn't mean anything by it, I'm just a gun jockey and that's my philosophy. I get paid to shoot things, not ask questions ma'am." He chuckled nervously, letting out a relieved sigh as someone else drew the Spirit's attention.
He attempted to sneak a ways off to continue his passive analysis uninterrupted.

Re: Dangers of the Final Frontier IC
"...So he's got this little dinky pistol in my face, trying to look all threatening an everything," The 'thunk - thud' sound echoed across the deck of the cargo bay as the Cyborg strode in, a female companion walking a quicker lighter stride beside the brutish looking cyborg that would be recognisable as the Ships ExO "and Mitch fires off a shot into the air and the guy practically craps himself trying to get out of there!" the ExO puts a hand to her mouth, supressing a slight giggle at the statement
"as much as I'd love to keep litsening to your stories" she said as she glanced over his shoulder "it looks like you need to get your team in Gear for the drop" she pointed to the three who appeared to simply be standing around trying to keep from having to work
He glanced where she was indicating, his bionic eye focusing and refocusing on each as it tried to pull up their data and ID's for him "Goddamn rookies..." he growled, his bionic eye singling out the fox who seemed to be trying to vanish into the background
"Well, you go take care of your rookies, I," she put a hand on her chest "Have 'officers duties' to preform" she smiled and turned to head back the way she'd come, heading toward the bridge
"Officer duties?" he smirked and raised and eyebrow "You actually do something on this ship other than harass me and make me tell ya adventure stories?" he jibbed
"Amazingly enough, I do!" she rolled right along with it, putting a hand to her mouth in mock astonishment "Can you believe it? now go on, get your squad in line, you drop in five"
"Aye Ma'am" he turned his attention back to the three on deck, singling the fox out once again, he slipped up behind him and dug his hand into the back of the foxes uniform, just behind the neck. the servos and accuators that augmented his artifical muscles gave off a light whirring as they grabbed and tightened his grip in less time than it took to blink, and in the next instant after that the Fox would find himself turned around, hoisted a good two feet off the ground and hanging by the collar of his uniform, with a very pissed off tiger in his face "SOLDIER! NAME AND RANK, NOW." he huffed, a short burst of smoke issuing from his nose, a side effect of an augment built into his skull crossed with his stress level "And you better have a DAMN good reason you're not packing for the drop like a good little soldier boy"

Re: Dangers of the Final Frontier IC
Shade yelped as he was yanked off of his feet, followed by a round of coughing as the smoke hit him. His heart dropped to his feet as he idetified his assailant, but he dutifully aswered, "Shade Leshyr, Private 1st class sir! I have no excuse other than a lack of motivation sir!" He swung his head in search of the other newbies, who had found reason to jump up and start working. Traitors. Shade thought before facing his captor again, "Mercy?" he asked hopefully.
By this time, the first shuttle wave was going through the pre-flight checklist.
