    Biographical information:

    The Ares, built at the end of the Sharron era, the Ares never did see action in the Divine Star’s holy war against the Galactic System Alliance. Its early service history was during the occupation of Arstil, the Thrown world of the Divine. While the occupation was uneventful for the most part, although the carrier was heavily damaged when a rouge vessel, ironically named Sharron opened fired into the carrier’s hanger bays. The ship was a small frigate but the angle of fire had made it so the rail round was able to penetrate deep into the hull of the vessel destroying many major systems but did not damage the power core. As a result, the PDF systems made short work of the small vessel. Still the vessel was crippled and was forced to stay in orbit while it had old and damaged modules were replaced. The carrier, along with the majority of the 30,000 vessels produced during the one hundred and twenty year war where mothballed and put into cold storage. The old carrier was reawakened from its sleep in hard vacuum of space 70 years after it was commissioned for its first true war.

    Nearly thirty years into the Ferros era, the systems of the Hades’ expanse, a non-aligned sector of space that acted a buffer zone between the Divine Star and the GSA in the Paresis arm of the Milkyway began to make over-lapping alliances to one another. The region itself was only fraction of the size either empire, but the system density is this region of space was far higher than most places in the Milkyway outside the galactic core. As a result, when systems of the where aligned the might of the region challenged that of GSA and the Divine star. The Hades’ systems, knowing that the Divine Star was still rebuilding from their humiliating loss to the GSA more or less ignored the state in favor of the alliance. The Ares, being one of few modular supercarriers built during the Sharron era, she was one of the first ships to be unpacked when the Department of Interstellar Intelligence, DISI for short, intercepted an encrypted message that passed between several governments of the Hades sector. During the four mouths the overhaul of the ship got reduced to nothing more than its bare-bones superstructure. At the end of the fourth month nearly the entire ship had been changed with the exception of the combat information center, which had been kept by special request of the commander of the vessel, till this day remains the only part of the ship that hadn’t been replaced in the numerous overhauls sense.

    The Ares was the flag ship of the third fleet during Drago offensive the under the command of Commander Shayron. The standard procedure during this campaign was to use the military superiority of the Carrier fleets and their ability to move large numbers of fighters into zones that were out of range of normal fighter jump drives. Like other carriers the Ares mounted four heavy rail batteries and numerous point defense razors, and several missile systems. The Ares being the flag ship of the Third fleet was also the hub of all traffic, and fleet wide repair and refit systems for the others ships in the fleet. Three months into the occupation of the Dragarian homeworld. The Ares got its baptism of fire, with the fleet in orbit around the world. They were caught with their pants down as a few stealth mines had drifted into orbit taking out a destroyer, and two smaller corvettes that happened to be nearby. From there a small attack force of 40 ships mainly heavy frigates and heavy cruiser dropped out of FTL taking advantage of the confusion to take out 20 ships before the fleet was able to organize itself. The carrier for the second time in its history had taken a direct hit; it was one of the first ships targeted by the heavy cruiser on its exit out of FTL. The impacted dorsally and passed through the thinnest part of the ship. The rounds had left gaping holes in the carrier each a few meters wide; one missed the carrier’s spine by only a few meters. The spine was one part of the ship that couldn’t be replaced along with a few vital parts of the super superstructure, without the ship’s spine a vessel couldn’t survive the trip into hyperspace. The attacking fleet had been taken out by the carriers main batteries, along with the escorts that been with the fleet at the time. The ship itself survived the ordeal but was recalled back to the Caprican ship yards for a two month repair and refit.

    The Ares later saw combat during what had been named the Gator push, four years. The newly promoted admiral Shayron had leaded the attack on the Gator systems. The Gator systems had been the last system to still remain defiant to GSA, it was later learned that this system had been the origin of the war against the GSA. Once this was learned the system was put under quarantine and left to starve. Cut off from outside help and trade; the moral of the Gator systems crumbled within weeks. In one last attack, and considered the bloodiest on both sides happened during this times. The Aeros system was formally the hub of the galactic trade in the Hades region of space. Now firmly under the control of the alliance, the Gator systems need it badly if they wanted to keep this war going, if only temporary. The Gator systems had already been under a lot of strain, and now they had imposed martial law to keep their people in line. In order to take the Aeros system they amassed every ship they had remaining into a signal fleet to attack and hopefully take the Aeros system back. The second and third fleets had been in the Aeros system at the time. It was assumed that this was unknown to the admirals of the fleet that attack that this was the case otherwise, it is assumed that they would have never attacked.

    The Ares was the first hit, as it was nearest to the where the Gator fleet had dropped from FTL. This time the carrier was able to bring its armor systems and shield systems online before being fired upon. The Carrier gave a distress call to the rest of the fleet as admiral Shayron took on the entire fleet with her lone carrier. The otter was nearly court marshaled later for such a reckless act. The Ares suffered massive damage during the attack and nearly lost 95% of its crew. Yet the core was never breached during the attack, when the rest of the fleets got there they found a carrier scared, leaking coolant, fire on multiple decks, pressure had been lost on nearly all decks, it shields had been long gone. Yet the ship refused to die, in this instant it lived up its name as being the god of war. It main weapons and a good portion of PDF systems still functioned. As a result the ship was still able to fight even in its crippled state. The battle was one of longest ever fought in space combat lasting two weeks, the Ares had been crippled on the first day of fighting, but it caused the fleet to avoid every carrier that was in the Aeros system. The Ares with its fighter squadrons and main guns had taken out twenty three ships giving it the highest kill count of any ship in the third fleet, and second in naval history only the Nostalgia for Infinity, a carrier that fought in the Holy wars of the 26th century had more kills.

    After the war with the Hades system the Ares underwent another overhaul of it ship systems and power core. It was upgraded to the use a dual core power system, utilizing a new technology that allowed the Fusion cores to become smaller and yet retain the power output of that of larger reactors. New railguns had been added along with a new hanger bay, which had been all but destroyed in the battle for Aeros.
    After the war, the carrier was not retired and was stationed on the boarder of GSA, near the Tal-Ceti Star cluster along with being close to the Akalian systems. Up until ten months ago this is where it had been until it had under gone a refit. The Ares once again has been called for duty, this time as a test bed for new shielding, drive, and weapons designs.

    Biographical information: From the age of 12 he was a thief. He stole food and small weapons to survive. One day he attempted to steal from a small army encampment. He was just about to sneak away with pistols and rations when a guard stumbled upon him. After his punishment, the Galactic Military saw his potentials and took advantage while they could and trained him to be one of their prized soldiers. His newest ship, the SSC Advent was once a Dark Core Empire Frigate until Sin had stumbled upon it. He waited til the dead of night and took his small ship into range and boarded silently. As he walked the ship stealth fully, he single handedly took out the soldiers who had been ordered to protect it, even though there weren't many awake, which made it easier for him to just walk into the barracks of the frigate and silently kill each slipping crew member. After a few hours of hard work, Sin had what he wanted. As he entered the pilot's seat, he saw the incoming Dark Core Empire's Nostalgia for Infinity. He grabbed control and bolted out of the area with a smirk of success written all over his face. He now has a crew of close friends and allies to help him maintain and man the Frigate.

    Melly is a sweet girl born into the wrong time and place. Her mother was a whore that was raped and beaten, left only with the sperm that conceived Melly’s existence. Sadly, Melly was orphaned when her mother died at childbirth and Melly was instantly taken into the care of her mother’s Pimp: Corlando. She was brought up to be the perfect little slut for any customer, but somewhere in the back of her mind something told her this type of life was wrong.     THey're supposed to check the board, but we're all busy from time to time. I know Reaper's trying to bugger with financial stuff for College. Kinda like I'm *supposed* to be doing.

    I'd PM or even IM them, personally.

    But yeah, a basic rundown of the entire universe?

    Well, it's a fur-populated unverse, set some hundreds of years into the future on a timeline *roughly* parallel to our own. Most prefer technologies at are at least theoretically possible, and most also prefer characteristically "weak" races because they always, always make for better play.

    The rest of the provided information details common locations, factions (of the four principle regions of the galaxy), some technology. THis stuff *should* be referenced when needed.

New People, yeah Red was right about my being busy and stuff but I can answer anything you like, I'll make time, but for the moment I have little in the way of free time for the forums, but I am on the internet most of time, though doing much in the way of other things so that is your best bet in find me.     Rules for nations:

    Alright I have had some trouble in the past with nations, but i'll let in another one or two. But I have rules on sizes, power levels. It is also possible for them to be members of the much larger Galactic alliances like the GSA and ORC all you have to do is ask.

    Random tidbit:

    Most wide spread race at the moment is the Arianrhod Ormr. (Basically Anthropomorphic dragons) and they make up the majority of the population of the GSA.

    Weapons: Custom built double-action .50 AE (Action Express) magnum, 8" barrel, six rounds. This and similar models have been titled with the nickname "The Negotiator." Thus, the previously mentioned name is printed on the barrel.


    Occupation: Mercenary/Security


    Appearance: Dark charcoal gray scales with lighter ones on the front of his torso. His eyes are a deep gold color and because of his occupation, rather muscular. Despite being a Arianhod Ormr, he does not have wings due to an accident as a child. Where his wings should be, only large scars remain.


    Height: 2.38 m (7.84 ft)


    Weight: 146.96 kg (324 lbs)


    Personality: Quiet, slightly depressed. Somewhat overprotective of those he cares for. Although others may say otherwise, he may not be the smartest when it comes to academics but he has very good common sense and he is definitely someone you want on your side during a firefight.


    Clothes: Usually a typical civilian flight suit when not busy escorting other ships or VIPs on the surface. When on the job, he'll generally wear lots of bullet-resistant armor complete with ceramic tiles and trauma plates seeing as he can deal with the extra bulk.


    Biographical information: Zaraza spent his childhood on an ice planet in the same system as Caprica with his father since his mother had gone missing shortly after he was born. With a civil war about to be waged, Zaraza's father took his son and crew to his small frigate and left that planet. After leaving their planet they made a living by escorting freighters from pirates and the like as they navigated between systems or worlds. It was a risky business but it paid enough for the crew and maintainence. After living on a ship for so many years, Zaraza left his father's ship to live on Caprica. During his stay on Caprica, he went to a college for a few years before heading out to seek his own fortune. He followed in his father's footsteps by doing security for some VIPs for a couple years but he soon got tired of following the wealthy around all the time so he became a mercenary. He was still doing security, but now he was allowed to have more firepower than his previous setups. He would stay on board a ship to defend it in case of boarding parties.

    Zaraza talked to his father as often as could. He knew his father was becoming too old for this line of work so he promised he would take command of his father's ship once he and his crew retired. For now, Zaraza was just saving enough money to actually be able to hire a new crew and properly maintain a ship like that.

    One thing that often got him much unwanted attention is the fact that Zaraza no longer has wings. Roughly six months after leaving his home planet, his father was docked at a shipyard for repairs when on the machines managed to get a hold on Zaraza's wings and tore them off. The pain was so intense that after being rescued he immediately lost consciousness. He woke up only to find himself in a hospital bed. He back ached with incredible levels of pain. Despite recovering from the wounds themselves, it took him quite some time to get used to not having wings anymore. His father felt horrible watching his son suffer the emotional and physical pain but he knew his son was strong and would eventually be able to pull through.

    However, Zaraza still will not let any of that from stopping him from becoming captain of his own ship. He had a lot of time ahead of him and he planned on using every moment to its full potential.

Fur pattern is normal for a Lightfirean: white fur from her lower jaw down to her inner thighs on her front side, and also the end of her tail; black furred ears, paws up to her elbows and her footpaws up to her knees. The rest of her fur is orange.

    Personality: Sam almost doesn't seem like captain material, but she's the average Lightfirean female. She's playful and loves to flirt. Her intoxicating words are filled with deceit. Her goal is always herself.


    Clothes:
    Sam wears different clothes depending on what she plans on doing. But normally she's in a stardard Lightfirean uniform. It's a form-fitting jumpsuit, the color yellow displaying she's command personnel. A badge over her heart displays that she is a captain.


    Biographical information: Sam's father was an admiral and her mother is a politician. Her older brother strangely broke family traditions and went into the military, her younger brother did what was expected of him and went into the Lightfirean Spacial Navy. Sam was unsure what she wanted to do for the longest time, so took classes for both politics and the Spacial Navy. When her brother recieved the captain position she decided to go and be his first officer, communications officer, and his lover.

    Recently the Liberator was destroyed. Malcom was put into command of a different ship and Sam was promoted to captain as well.

    Weapons

    Primary:
    6 Plasma Beam Arrays - Lightfireans use excess plasma created for the Dark Matter Drive to fuel their weapons. Plasma is slower than energy and more projectile weapons, however it is much more powerful - plasma is known for burning through all metal at the same rate, meaning armor is usually ignored.

    Secondary:
    5 Dual 460mm turrets - Regular projectile turrets. Armor-piercing and incendiary.

    Explosive Weapons:
    Anti-Matter Torpedo Launcher - Fore located. Single shot, no spread. Anti-matter torpedoes create an extremely powerful explosion. Torpedo casing is thick and heavy preventing it from being shot down easily. The casing protects a chamber where anti-matter is held by a magnetic. Upon impact, the anti-matter is released.

    Fusion Torpedo Launcher - Aft Located. Three shot spread. Substantially weaker than anti-matter torpdoes, but are cheaper to produce and so can more can be fired.

    Armor:

    Baryonic Armor - Baryonic armor is created in fusing a form of Dark Matter in the metal. When something impacts the metal, an extremely powerful point of gravity is formed at the impact zone. Usually slows down large, stops medium, and deflects light projectiles.

    Plasma Shielding - Also uses excess DMD plasma. This bubble of plasma around the ship can stop incoming plasma, and reduces the strength of energy weapons. However, projectiles cut right through it.

    Drives

    Sub-Light:

    Pulsed-Flared Ion: Ion drives are extremely efficient but have a slow starting speed. By feeding the fuel through it more aggressively and in pulses this disadvantage can be overcome.

    FTL:

    Dark Matter Drive: Warp drive in concept. Uses a form of dark matter as the medium. The dark matter when dense creates a strong gravity well, but it doesn't interact with matter - but still warps space. To attract the dark matter into dense quantities, plasma is regulated in long chambers on the outside of a ship.

    Power

    Main Power:
    Anti-Matter Power Plant - anti-matter has a 100% matter to energy conversion. However it's a dangerous material to carry because if containment is lost utter destruction will ensue.

    Auxiliary Power:
    Cold-Fusion Power Plant - Still relatively powerful source of power, but not nearly as strong as anti-matter. Use of plasma weapons, shields, and the dark matter drive is limited under this power.

    Emergency Power:
    Fission Battery - Small fission core creates just enough power for critical systems to run. Dark Matter Drive can only be engaged one time.

    I'd like to join this if it's still open, I just have a few questions.

    Basically, character concept is that he works for Black Sun. One of the things I'd like to have is a long prehensile tongue, which can also shoot out and strike like a frog's tongue. The tongue extends about three feet long and is tipped with a needle on the end. This needle can deliver a dose of highly corrosive acid. He can store about two doses of the acid, and it takes about a day to restore one dose of acid. This is a biological augmentation rather than a natural occurrence. I'm imagining this is probably a highly illegal augmentation, so I'm checking first if such an augmentation is possible, second illegal or not.

    Second part is he'd probably have a ship, and I know very little about ship classes and all that stuff. I could make something up I suppose. Basically, It's a very small ship. It'll pretty much only consist of a one-man cockpit, a small bedroom, a storage/kitchen area, and a cell for prisoners. It's a bounty hunters ship basically, so it will have some decent powered weapons, I'm thinking two missile launching tubes for nuclear warhead missiles, and a Gamma Ray Laser. Last would be the bio skin armor. If someone could help with the naming of the ship/components if there is a good way, or direct me to an appropriate site where I can figure something out, that'd be cool

    You can make a character/race here, but Sins concept is kind of sitting on the back burner for now. Age of Rebirth happens in the same universe some 400,000 years later with all new races. I suggest you go there if you're looking for activity.

    Thank you for the information. I've kind of already discovered that though XD Currently trying to fill out a nation/species sheet, but it's extremely hard to just sit down and write it. All the ideas flowing through my brain is filling my body with nervous energy, making me want to get up and pace every five seconds.
