So sorry about the 5 day absence. It was unavoidable; I was literally without access to the internet from Saturday morning until about an hour ago.

The reason is that I arrived at University on Saturday thinking I could go straight to using their wireless. Couldn't access it until I registered as a student.
Monday morning was collecting registration documents, so I assumed I'd have internet then. After all, part of the registration documents gave us a Wireless user and password. Didn't work. Turns out you have to register with them first, not just collect the documents. But I couldn't hand them back in until my timeslot for registering, on Tuesday morning. I signed on the dotted line and handed it all in. "Can I go on the internet now?" Yep, just wait until the system had updated itself. Oh, and that can take up to 24 hours.
Well... it did. Exactly 24 hours. Not even 23. 24. 23 would have meant I could go online this morning. 24 fell right at the start of my 6 hour day. Came home, and... INTERNET! Opened SciFiFur.net... didn't work. I needed to download the latest Windows Updates, download some random program and then type all my details, restart the computer, yadda yadda yadda.

Long story short, I'm back. Sorry about not telling anyone I wouldn't be here, but I didn't know myself.

Yay University Internet. Mine involved fun procedures like uninstalling my security program so they could install their own, then about 3 hours to install the ResNet system on my computer with no less than 5 restarts.

No worries Slice. That was unforeseen and out of your control anyway. The important thing is that you're back online. How is the University Internet there anyway?

Well, it is from what I've experienced. Perhaps some near-future experience will prove drastically otherwise, but I'm happy with it so far.
