Lightfirean Vixen
Re: Age of Rebirth update request.
Nation’s Name: Lightfire Union
Government Type: Parliamentary, Unitary Democracy
Core Species’ Name: Lightfirean
Solar systems controlled: 105
Military rating: 62
Offense: (16)
Defense: (20)
Espionage: (5)
Stealth: (1)
Resources: (20)
How does the Strengths and/or weakness of your Military effect your Government Decisions?
Lightfirean ships use huge amounts of power so light up like a Christmas Tree on sensors. As such they are useless for stealth missions, or any kind of mission meant to be kept secret. As such, they can only be used for declared military actions and patrols. However, advanced shield and armor tech makes them extremely hard to hurt. In essence Lightfireans can't conduct secret missions.
What effect does it have on your Citizens:
It is difficult for the race to expand without being able to do secret surveys. However, crime is low and they have major confidence that they can survive a war sue to the power of their vessels.
Industry Rating: 78
Economy: 10
Resources: 25
Consumer base: 20
Manufacturing ability: 23
How does the Strengths and/or weaknesses of your Industry effect your Government Decisions?
The Lightfirean economy is entirely socialist. It hardly goes up or down, it just stays at a steady average rate. Because of the way it fuctions, large scale trade is nearly impossible - only able to trade with other races through barter.
How does this effect your Citizens?
It keeps citizens loyal to the Union. They can't go trade with other races so keeps them at home, purchasing government goods with government currency. Lightfireans are isolationist.
Technology Rating: 95
Computers: 20
Medical: 15
Energy Production: 20
Science: 20
Advancement rate: 20
How does the Strengths or weaknesses of your technology effect your Government Decisions?
The whole checks and balances system on the Lightfire Union's unitary government is a 'Technology' branch of office. Here the greatest scientific minds of all areas can override the Legislative by showing scientific measure of what it's a bad idea. They also can make proposals to advance science.
How does this effect your Citizens?
Lightfireans are wired to technology. Nothing sparks their enthusiasm more than the advancement of science. Also, they don't leave the Lightfire border without wearing a suit of powered armor.
Areas of Specialty:
Defense: Lightfirean Baryonic plating is the armor of choice for things that need protection. Forged in a form of dark matter, projectiles that impact it usual are stopped instantly on impact, smaller projectiles bounce off. -- Lightfirean shields are also quite strong; dark matter enhanced plasma protects the ship from most energy fire, especially other plasma weapons.
Power: Lightfireans have a total mastery of anti-matter.
Firm Borders/Strong Loyalty: Lightfireans are an incredibly proud race, they have strict control over their borders and internal affairs. In exchange for the highly protective government, the citizens are very loyal - low crime rate and few turncoats are the result.
Advanced:
Computers: Lightfireans have extremely capable AI, and in general their computers are very fast. They are needed to manage the complexity of Lightfirean ships.
Intelligence: Lightfireans are smart little devils, "cunning as a fox" is no joke in their case. The research fast, and their ships might be decades ahead of their time.
Terraforming: Lightfireans have always had a tendency to improve the world around them. With their isolationist attitude, they often will just terraform worlds already in their borders rather than expand outwards - they also enjoy it for just a fun factor.
Normal: (Anything not mentioned above or below)
Poor:
Not that it matters much in this day and age, but they aren't terribly physically capable(i.e. Strength)
Small Vessels: Lightfireans see no point in squishy things like fighters or bombers, they almost strictly use capital ships. The only exceptions being shuttles and corvettes(military shuttles in this case).
Weakness:
Expensive Ships: Lightfireans love luxury and efficiency. Their incredibly advanced ships also have high requirements for rare minerals. Because of their socialist economy, they have no way to speed the process through competition. So though they don't have a currency price tag to the government, they have a high mineral price tag - inablity to trade worsens the problem.
Poor Trade: Isolationists, Lightfireans are bad at negotiating with other species. Lightfirean currency is useless to other races so only barter can be conducted for trade outside of the Union.
Slavery: An art long ago decided totally immoral by other races, the Lightfireans continue to use it. It helps compensate for the limitations of their economy. However, it is so frowned apon by other races it makes relations with the Union hard to build. All slaves are non-Lightfirean, some may be those of the other major species which creates more tension.
"Master-race Attitude": Lightfireans see themselves as a master species, however they don't brag about this in front of other major races; it is known they think this though. Again, diplomacy suffers.
Nations Dossier/History:
[Asking a lot here, I don't have the time to type out a brand new thing. So here is my original Lightfirean History: http://rabiki.com/archives/index.php?title=Lightfirean ] [I will just summarize here, and make a few changes]
*Wolvends never happened
The only point in time that has a major affect on what the Lightfire Union is today starts with the Marlikian War. Before the war, Lightfireans were not excelling very much at all. When contact was made with the Marlikians(an insectoid race), Lightfireans discovered that they believed themselves to be the master species just as much as the Lightfireans did.
This of course could not fly, and so the centuries long war began. For the first century of the war, the Marlikians were winning. They were a merciless race and slaughtered innocent Lightfireans by the billions - the first time the Lightfireans ever fought a war that exceeded millions. The Marlikians were built for war, while the Lightfireans had done nothing but police-level defense.
Things were looking grim for the Lightfirean race, it was expected an attack would soon be made on the Lightfirean homeworld. But after more than a century into the war, a Lightfirean scientist discovered a way to manipulate a different form of dark matter, and imbue it into metals. This Baryonic armor rendered Marlikian weapons nearly useless, when added to powered armor Lightfirean troopers could now beat Marlikian soldier in hand to hand. Not much after that, plasma weapons and shielding was mastered, making Lightfirean vessels more powerful that Marlikians ships.
Mastery of antimatter was the final tech boost the Lightfireans needed. The Marlikians were quickly pushed back. In need of a quick victory, three massive vessels were constructed and packed full of antimatter warheads, controlled by AI. The made a beeline to the Malikian homeworld and bombarded to planet as long as they could over a vast an area they could. When the Marlikains finally beat through the shielding and armor of the vessels, they jumped to warp into the planet detonating the last of the antimatter reserves. The Marlikian homeworld was rendered barren.
With the Marlikians unable to continue any offensive action, Lightfireans declared the war over. They began Project Extermination, which final goal was to make the Marlikians extinct. Centuries later the project was finished, and the Lightfirean rebuilt their empire - larger than before with the annexation of Marlikian territory as their own(though it remains largely unpopulated).
It's to be expected, that after a war that lasted many centuries that the long term effects of it would last even longer. Lightfireans became extremely isolationist, and highly protective of their people and territory. They keep their fleets at top of the line quality so that they won't be caught unprepared again. It reinforced their racism, and the victory heightened the belief they are a master race - but it also made them more quiet about it as it could risk another war.
Major Industries: Advanced Terraforming Equipment
Species motto: None. A few mottos have been tossed around over time, but none stuck.
General Species disposition: Isolationist. For the advancement of science. Have major egos, but keep them in check around other species. One oddity of theirs that seems counter-active to their other beliefs is they are notoriously flirty with other races.
Achievements:
Defeat of the Marlikian Empire: A long devastating war for both sides with a species equal to power to the Lightfire Union. Centuries into the war Lightfireans finally got the upper hand and won.
Project Extermination: A massive undertaking to destroy every last fragment of the Marlikian race, the logistics involved were enormous and took nearly as long as the war itself - less lives were lost though(for the Lightfireans). Marlikians were declared extinct, it also showed that total warfare in this age is nearing impossible. Much larger than the Marlikian race was and the logistics involved would be too vast to perform the action.

Re: Age of Rebirth update request.
If anything seems off let me know.
Nation’s Name:
U.N.F.C. (United Nor'ixan Fleet Cluster)
Core Species Name:
Nor'ixa
Solar systems controlled: 0
Military rating: 49.5
Offence: 16
Defense: 16
Espionage: 0
Stealth: 12.5
Resources: 5
Industry Rating: 16
Economy: 1 (things are produced using the remains of other ships, vehicles, etc)
Resources: 5
Consumer base: 0
Manufacturing ability: 10
Technology Rating: 71
Computers: 18 (due to stealth mostly)
Medical: 5
Energy Production: 18
Science: 20
Advancement rate: 10 (stagnated for the moment)
Boon/powerful:
- Powerful energy weapons and shields (extreme weakness to counter this, listed in weak)
- Slightly unstable, but extremely powerful energy core (space vessels, with smaller versions on ground units)
Advanced:
-Powerful stealth systems allowing optical cloak and a somewhat limited sensor cloak (meaning passive sensors wouldn't work, but if you were looking for it you would probably find it in minutes)
Normal: Anything not listed above or below
Poor:
-Sensor systems are weaker due to interference from the cloaking systems
Weak:
- Power management IE: Most of their weapons and shields share the same power-source resulting in their forces being unable to use their shields and weapons at the same time (meaning while shields are up weapons are down, and vice versa) and cloaking systems draw power from the sensors
- Extremely weak armor
- Ships are slow (spaceships only, excludes wormholes)
Years sense the discovery of FTL: 1250
Type of FTL used: Wormhole technology is the most widespread FTL used in the Nor'ixan fleet, however fighter-class vessels rely on lesser, but faster, hyper-drive engines. Although the wormholes can traverse across vast sections of space they do take quite some time to stabilize and entering an unstable wormhole can result in the lose of the ship entirely or just throw the ship into a random section of the galaxy, or even into a star.
Nations Dossier/History:
The Nor'ixa (Nor'ixan is singular) have been around for thousands of years at the deepest reaches of space in a small solar system inhabited by only three planets. These three planets were; Melo'mira, Ara'mire, and Fe'nora. All very large planets which were habitable prior to the Nor'ixan-Seri'moha wars, but held in a loose orbit around the sun which caused a winter that lasts for three years and a summer of only 1 year.
The Nor'ixan race is easily distinguished by their tall figure, dark purple eyes and a mostly human appearance aside from their thick coat of fur and wolf-like tails and ears, all of which take on various shades of black and white in many patterns. Their neighbors the Seri'moha were almost entirely bear-like in appearance aside from their teeth which resembled that of a tiger. Both the Seri'moha and Nor'ixa have thick skin and a built in tolerance to extreme cold to compensate for their planets odd orbit of their sun. Comparing themselves to the Nor'ixa the Seri'moha felt like a medieval country fighting an alien species, as the Nor'ixa would not waste time with petty squabbles amongst themselves, preferring to further themselves rather then allow themselves to stagnate. With this sentiment always boding in the back of their mind they eventually got enraged and stole experimental Nor'ixa technology and detonated it, leveling a good portion of Nor'ixa cities. The war that followed was a brief, yet brutal, conflict. Within one year the Seri'moha were down to a population of five thousand from their original ten billion. The Seri'moha home-world, Fe'nora, was completely decimated and crumbling. Not only had a genocide been committed on its' surface, but three of its' four moons were knocked into a decaying orbit by stray asteroids breaking the planet into three large chunks, one of which drifted into Melo'mira loosening it from its suns pull enough to break free fifty years later and destroying half of the surface of the planet, triggering planet-wide tsunamis and earthquakes which would continue on even with the plants' departure from it's solar system.
Before their planet was impacted, all Nor'ixan ships were filled to maximum capacity in a last ditch effort to save themselves. After the impact most of their shipyards and other production facilities were destroyed on the planet as-well as almost the entire remaining population on the planet. Faced with this threat of extinction the Nor'ixan fleet stopped at Ara'mire to stock up on as much food and water as possible in their supplies before traveling further towards the center of the galaxy, acknowledging that Ara'mire would eventually collide with the remainders of Fe'nora still floating in orbit around the sun.
Some hundred years later Ara'mire and Fe'nora became a small asteroid belt surrounding the sun, with little hints on previous life of planets in the form of strange formations on the 'asteroids'.
At this time the U.N.F.C. was formed in the mutual interests in the continued survival of the Nor'ixan race and in the hopes of eventually finding a habitable planet unclaimed by any other nation for their new home. To this day the Nor'ixan fleet wanders from solar system to solar system, hardly known by most major nations and regarded by most as a myth. To keep a low profile the U.N.F.C. agreed that they must destroy any who discover the main fleet and refrain from any unnecessary conflicts, and any conflicts they do enter must yield no survivors on the opposing side to prevent discovery. So far the U.N.F.C. has been responsible for the complete destruction of over two hundred settlements on planets for food and water as-well as over five thousand 'unaccounted' for supply ships.
Major Industries: Energy weapons, power-sources, stealth technology and wormhole technology.
Species motto: When in doubt, double-tap.
General Species disposition: The Nor'ixa harbor a strong distrust of other species and can turn hostile in a moment, however they are very loyal to their own kind and fighting within their race is almost non-existent. In their spare time Nor'ixa often do various odd-jobs to improve the fleet and when no work is left to be done they can be found enjoying quiet scenery in holographic chambers. Due to their hostility towards other species the Nor'ixa are often misunderstood and are assumed to be a bloodthirsty race, when in reality they are just attempting to do what is best for their species.
Relations with other nations/alliances are unknown, due to limited interaction with them as of late.
Achievements: (in chronological order)
Technology:
-Created a slightly unstable power-core nicknamed the 'EverlastingEmber' (used in all Nor'ixan ships, destruction of which causes the ship to implode)
Example of ship style:
Since I lack artistic capabilities, and dislike using images I do not draw myself here is an example:
MistsOfMira (My ship)
Type: U.N.F.C. Destroyer-Class vessel
Length: 700 meters
Engine Systems: Five medium-sized stealth rated ion drives
Power: MistsOfMira runs off of a slightly unstable central power-core.
'FTL' Drive: Utilizes wormhole technology
Armaments: Two massive linked rail-cannons, twenty ship to ship high-intensity laser turrets
Countermeasures: Ten point defense lasers (five per side)
Shields: Extremely powerful shields (Active when the ship isn't firing)
Crew: Like all U.N.F.C. ships the crew has gone through intense military training and anywhere from little to advanced mech and weapons training.
Skeleton Crew: 8 (excluding the commander)
Passengers: Five luxury rooms exist, the rest are all crew quarters
Cargo Capacity: Rather large, and further increased by the two cargo/fighter bays
Consumables: Enough to last up to one and a half years if they eat normally, up to three years if rationed
Appearance: The MistsOfMira is a large white and black colored vessel, the pattern of which resembles that of a white tiger. Its' size is closer to that of a battle-cruiser rather than a destroyer, but its maneuverability and relatively small armament keep it just barely failing to reach cruiser status. It is very angular craft on the sides and front, but flat on the top and bottom, with two large retractable cargo/fighters bays, one on each side of the ship. The MistsOfMira is covered in scars and scorch marks along its' entire hull.
Edit: In appearance for the ship style example I said side instead of size at one point. Fixed that. Since I fully intend on getting involved as soon as possible I will start writing up the descriptions of a few more ships and their respective stats over the next few days. Nelle I will let you know whenever I edit this (exception being this time since all I did was fix a typo.

Nation/Species sheet:
Nation’s Name: Izzet League
Core Species’ Name: Kraynox
Apperence: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs27/i/20...dianDragon.jpg
The Kraynox are an extremely intelligent species, thanks to their apex predator heritage their senses are impeccably sharp. Most of the species can make out minute details in the landscape at well over 2 kilometers. They are also physically capable of flight and average the size of a minivan or so.
Solar systems controlled: 149

Consumer base: 16
Manufacturing ability: 25
Technology Rating: 95
Computers: 20
Medical: 15
Energy Production: 20
Science: 20
Advancement rate: 20
Boons:
Economy: The Kraynox are rabid inventors, they are more than happy to sell their inventions, and their own societal disposition makes them excellent in business endeavors.
Scientific advancement: This is self explanatory.
Advanced:
Computers
Medical technology
Energy production
Industry
Infrastructure
Defense technology
Robotics
Nanotechnology
Normal: (Anything not mentioned above or below)
Poor:
Amoral: Kraynox as a species have very little moral bindings to keep them from doing things. As a result some of their experiments maybe shunned by other nations of the galaxy. This also has an impact on their society as well.
Flamboyant before practical: The Izzet league likes a good show; many of their weapons could be far more powerful than they are. Where a tank would work perfectly they have taken it a step further and use mecha. This is widely seen across the board with their technology. If you want something done without extra frills, get it in writing.
Military offence: Linked mainly to the above the poor area, their own attitudes hinder their military capabilities.
Bleeding edge of advancement: Much of their technology is extremely powerful, but at the same time it might have just been perfected or just out of the prototype stage and there are still kinks to work out. Much of their tech is rather fragile, even if it might possibly be a century ahead of the current standard.
Over complexity: The sheer level of complexity makes their systems difficult to repair, and a complete nightmare for many foreign technicians.
Disposition for the grandioso: They like things big, and flashy.
Physically large: Not much of an issue on their own worlds but plays a factor on forgien worlds where bodies have trouble navigating buildings many times.
Hedonistic: The pursuit of pleasure reigns supreme.
Weakness:
Stealth Systems: Its rather hard to be invisible when your ship is propelled by fireworks.
Espionage: The Leagues love of flashy things, plus the fact they talk WAY to much means they horrible as this endeavorer.
Years sense the discovery of FTL: 690
Type of FTL used: Tachyon Reversal
Nations Dossier/History: The Kraynox are an odd species to say the least. Being a quadrupedal species they evolved from an apex aerial hunter. Even from an early stage the species intelligence was impressive using their keen senses and intelligence to increase the effectiveness of the hunting techniques and skills. Their advancement from Stone Age hunters to the age of steam was extremely short taking only 1500 years in total. Though from here was when their technological pace exploded.
At the dawn of the modern age, their thrust knowledge and advancement went into overdrive with the advent of global communications causing their technology to grow ever more complex in advanced. After the invention of powered flight they were heading to space within ten years. Five years after their first space flight they where landing permanent colonies on their planets moon. Though this was due in part to their planets moon having an ecosystem compatible with their own biology.
It was during this time that the species came into the mind set of extreme hedonism social and economic reforms across the planets made this possible allowing them to shed many of their old laws and traditions but it also allowed for the species to enter a lightning fast stage of scientific discovery and advancement that has continued to this day.
A few years after they began large scale colonization across their solar system they made a breakthrough in FTL technology though it had an odd side effect of needing to break 88 MPH from the ships inertial reference point. Which lead one scientist to make an iconic statement… “When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious shit!”
Currently the Izzet League is known for being a center of advancement across the galaxy making many of advancement that the galaxy benefits from. Combined with this they also make many inventions that have very little practical application. Their own military use many things that while extremely advanced actually hinders their own military ability such as the use of quardpedial mecha. Much of their weaponry while far beyond some of the technology used by other nations could be said to be on the absolute “Bleeding edge.” Thus is rather fragile reducing its overall effectiveness.
Major Industries: Computers, nanotechnology, implants, medical technology, power systems, raw materials, finished goods, novelty items, robots, games, toys, entertainment, chemicals, Education etc etc.
Species motto: “We can do the impossible, we just haven’t figured out how yet.”
General Species disposition: The species as a whole is full of rabid inventors, and teachers. They believe that to create something new is the greatest joy that one can attain and the primary way to do this is through education. Second to this, they as a species are very pleasure oriented and more than not do things because it interests them.
Achievements:
Izzet Educational Network:
They consider it their crowning achievement; they have the many of best schools in the galaxy.
Izzet Educational mandate:
They have been appalled by what they see as the abysmal level of education across the galaxy and taken it upon themselves to lift the educational level of general population of the galaxy. Through this mandate they have open admission for all students to their lower level colleges and free hand out grants for students to go to high level schools within their own nations. Combined with this, they are funding the creation of new schools every day.
Ravnica:
Ravnica is the largest and the premiere research university in the galaxy; the school is the crown jewel of the Izzet Educational Network. This university spans nearly the entire planet in which its located and has an enrollment of nearly half a billion. The University grants every degree one can think of. Thanks to massive endowment from the Izzet league they have been able to been able to provide admission free of charge to anyone that wishes to attend. That is, if they can pass the entrance exam.

Now i'm going to make this clear for that wish to have more than one species, you can have more than one. But you can only have one in an RP at any one time. Secondly, some level of interaction between two nations that you control is allowed. The level of interaction permitted though is at my discretion.

Re: Age of Rebirth update request.

Core Species description: The Morga Nalafe are an insectoid race which grow to be six inches long. The females of the species are the most numerous, they are bipedal with four arms. External Neural receptors (Antenna) grow from their heads, seemingly like the hair of a mammal. They have thin long, wings, making them capable of flight. Before evolution occurred they had a hive mind and only one egg-laying female per colony, this shows in their politics as the leaders are known as queens and supply the eggs for most of the population, though other females are capable of laying eggs. The males of the species are far less numerous, one for every 500,000 females, they have six legs, and are covered by a large carapace, which they must open to reveal their wings for flight, though they are most comfortable on the ground. They have two neural receptors growing from their heads which curve up over their bodies. A note on neural receptors, they cannot naturally produce a signal over a distance, direct contact had to be made. Most members of the species, though, now use a Neural Signal Translator which broadcasts signals over great distances.

Nations Dossier/History:
The Morga Nalafe are an insectoid race originating from an unknown planet. A series of extreme events led to an evolutionary chain that led them from the hive mind that they once were, into each being having its own intelligence. They did, however, keep the ability to link minds. This combination of individual and collective thinking led them to, relatively quickly, take to the heavens, within only tens of thousands of years.
They established three factions, each with its own queen. One faction resided on the ground, its name was Ka' Mel'o. They used the the creatures inside the ground to mine for precious minerals and care for herd animals to feed the populous. The Second was the faction of Ava Elon, which consisted of legions of helium-filled capsules, supporting floating cities. These people used the creatures of the air to patrol the skies keeping an eye on the natural beauties of the planet to preserve them for the next group of lava to enjoy. Lastly there was the faction of the StarHive, which oversaw the space explorations and genetics experimentations programs. This Faction Had decided to experiment on the animals of the planet.
The planet was filled with dangerous predators and gentle herd creatures alike, but one species had shown real promise in being able to communicate. some were even beginning to be able to form semi-coherent primitive sentences using the clicks and chirps of the spoken language taught to them. A few minds began a collective to try to convince others to allow for genetic engineering of this bipedal mammal, in order to allow for even greater ability of communication. It was approved, and a mistake. They changed the genetic code by 3%, making them slightly more intelligent. the bipeds proved to be more resourceful than ever thought possible after this and began to destroy what they believed to be demons. The Morga Nalafe were forced to flee to the locations of their two factions inside of the planet's atmosphere. They gathered the genetics of all of the species of the planet that they could use and after gaining the fuels necessary to break orbit, departed, Never to return. With numbers greatly reduced, all of the members of the species went into a suspended animation to ensure safety during the first warp jump that they had ever made. An error occurred with the drive, and they ended up a nine hundred three years from their destination. When the ship finally arrived at the planet, it began to work for ninety seven years to make the planet more hospitable.
When the Morga Nalafe exited the ship, they immediately began work on expanding, soon taking over the planet and then the solar system, expanding until they reached their present day population which expands to 127 Solar Systems. They hope to one day return to their home planet to fix the damage that they had caused.
