The Key Games
Alright, decided to put this one up since it was my most thought out of the two I posted a while ago.
For hundreds of millions of years, the anthromorphic species and humanity were separated by the vast expanse of space, growing and evolving in relative peace. However, with the call of space pulling at them all, they eventually found their ways into space, expanding across the final frontier.
Contact among the groups was inevitable and the first encounters were cautious movements, but eventually became violent. War stopped only because losses were equal across the board and an uneasy peace took place.
However, prejudices and rivalries were already hardwired into them and violence has continued, albeit on a smaller scale, with every group looking for a way to become stronger than all the others. A single beacon of power arose in rumors: The Star Key, an item rumored to lead the wielder to power beyond imagining.
Officially, the Star Key was denounced, but you few have been contacted anonymously in regards to it. The message says no more than, "I have the star key. I am willing to part with it on one condition, which we will discuss should you choose to come to my private station." and lists the coordinates of this station.

Biography: Shade grew up on a small planet near the border between the canine and feline regions, leading to many, many fights between the two. Shade never truly agreed with the fighting as he grew up. He tried to organize a political party to lead to a joining of the various groups, but the dream died quickly as a rouge feline group killed the entire party on the first journey.

Re: The Key Games
Hm, this sounds pretty interesting. I'll give it some thought and see whether I can come up with a good character. If I can then I'd like to join, if you'll have me.

Re: The Key Games
Name: Rotem Sayer
Gender: Male
Race: Bearded dragon
Age: 26
Appearance: A bit heavy built and not quite at his peak, but regardless has broad shoulders, keen eyes, and many, many spikes covering his body.
Biography: Rotem was born and raised in the desert zone of his world, the lizards and other desert animals of the area living in mild isolation from most of the rest of the world. Rotem was born in this environment. From a young age he was always a tinkerer, making his toys work better (like the time he turned a cheap toy keyboard into a full fledged synthesizer). As he grew, his projects became more ambitious, and as he obtained his degree in engineering, he built a shop into his house so he could work on personal projects with a full array of tools.
He doesn't really care for politics, focusing instead on making all manner of devices which can go up to eleven. He is a skilled metalsmith and electrical engineer, and has built several robotic helpers for his shop. Currently he is working on adding basement sublevels to his shop, keeps on insisting on making more, now down to sublevel 15.

You can, but be warned that I intend to enforce a strict paragraph post policy. Which means, no one liners, put thought into what you're writing and give us something we actually need to respond to.

Re: The Key Games
So should we all just find our own way to the station then? There's no common transport or anything of that sort?

Re: The Key Games
Everyone gets to the station separately. Ships with a crew are okay, but no one comes with your character into the station

Re: The Key Games
Crusadra, I think the idea was that there were no hybrids, the factions are at a fragile peace, adn hybrids as open as that would probably be shunned beyond belief, considered a traitor to both side, and probably blacklisted among merchants...but that's just how I think it would end up going...it's kinda like an illegitimate child thing, but we'll have to wait on Shade for the final word there...aside from that, I'll be posting to the IC tomorrow since it's 2 am here and I desperately need to hit the sack...

Name: Kira Takinov
Gender: Female
Race: Trularian (White Tiger)
Age: 24
Appearance: stands at an even height of about 5'6", she has snow white fur with black tiger stripes. her hair seems to be a near white blond, but she tends to keep it dyed in various colors, and are also done up un shoulder length Dreads, the most recent being a two tone green. her eyes are two tone as well, the right is a beautiful Gold and the left is a crystal blue. she has a rather light build of an athelete, implying a speed fighter or a runner of some sort. the fact that she wears wraps on all her paws merely adds to this idea. she also wraps her tail as well, even though there really doesn't seem to be any purpose to it since Tiger tails are already tight furred. She prefers to go barepawed and wears black camo cargo jeans with chains hanging off each side and rocker T's. and to top it off, she wears a set of Red tinted, single, bubble lens goggles, often either pushed back on her head or hanging loose around her neck
Biography: Growing up, Kira never knew her mother, she was raised soly by her father, a purely business Bengal. he emerged himself in his work for years after her mothers death. they became little more than room mates as she progressed into her teens. The two became progressivly distant, almost fitting the "teen rebel' Image perfectly. her tastes changed to thngs he didn't approve of, only adding to her desire to try them out. she always had a taste for music, picking up a taste for the Classical style from her father during her younger years. she became versed on various instruments, from teh sax to the Piano. but the thing that caught her attnetion more than anything...Drums. her childish demeanor just couldn't pass up the chance to be praised for pounding senselessly on them. it could only possibly lead to one thing. Rock. She fell in and out with a couple bands in her early teen years, playing, at first, whatever was needed, but her real flair was always for the drums.
On her nineteenth birthday, her luck struck and she hit it off big time while playing a local club With a band Called Breaking Day. A big name producer by the name of Echo Wolfe of Echo Studios, happened to be scouting the place for new talents. The entire band was contracted to Echo Studios by Wolfe personally. Despite the sudden uprise in fame and fortune, she does try to stay humble to it, even though she's either caught by herself or friends 'indulging' in her newfound power on a somewhat regular basis
She was currently between Tours when the invitation was extended to her about the Star key

Re: The Key Games
Hey, is this still open for entry?
I'd like to drag another avian in.
Name: Phelan Connor Restin
Gender: Male
Race: Red-tailed hawk
Age: 44
Appearance: Four-limbed configuration consisting if digitigrade legs and humanoid arms "adapted" from wing structures and posessing vestigial feathers. Coloration is tawny brown, white speckled chest, striated primary feathers, and a rust-orange tail banded in black at the tip. Black beak, yellow cere and talons.
Biography:
Phelan grew up a relatively privileged child, with an upper-middle-class family. Everything was perfect in his idyllic childhood, until one fateful day when... Well, actually, not a damned thing happened.
He graduated secondary school with decent, if not especially spectacular grades, and elected to use his home government's policies on postsecondary education for military veterans to get into college for free.
Service turned into something Phelan dealt *very* well with; military operations became something of an obsession for him.
When he was medically discharged for two shattered femurs in a dropship crash during a training exercise, he found himself in an unfortunate position of having been disqualified for military service.
Horriffic though the wounds were, the heavy-duty cybernetics used to replace damaged muscle tissue and skeletal structure were funded by his state and hid fairly well inside his biological body. At the cost of a few extra pounds, the prosthetic alteration enabled slight improvements in strength and significant emprovements in endurance, enabling him to run even better than he could before the alteration.
He attended college as planned, altering his plans from sociology and law enforcement to a new direction, taking an unusual blending of business, political science, and a number of psychology courses, eventually finding his niche again in a private military corporation, but he found that the environment really didn't fit him, feeling too strongly about his father's advice that taking a life made a statement, but saving a life made a difference.
Shortly after this, Phelan found himself taking a job as a subcontractor for a deep-space rescue and salvage company often contracted by his homeworld's provincial police force to handle extraterritorial and hazardous operations.
Phelan often sees himself as a paladin of sorts, though he's often more than just a bit megalomaniacal and vulnerable to all of the same shortcomings that any biological organism is subject to; some more or less than others.
