You should really check out Mercenary-Artist, too. He's great.

Mercenary Artist is indeed made of win and awesome, can't say I care much for his personality at times though...
Anyway, no mention of sci-fi is really completed without a reference to Strype on FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/strype/

Granted, he does/is commissioned to do some weird stuff on the side but his power armor sketches are awesome.

Edit: Offtopic but if someone could point me in the direction of an artist who does good mechanic/techie characters I'll greatly appreciate it.
