    Default Hard Drive Failure

Hey guys, due to a poorly built hard drive at the HP factory, I won't be back for quite awhile. This hard drive failure has rendered my PC a paperweight and I can not access my 3D models or other important things.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that Seismic. What did it do? Maybe I know a way of getting some of that data back.

    Commiserations :[

Similar thing happened to me a few years back, tho that wasn't manufacturer error but my own fault for just buying a cheap HD + IDE2USB cable (instead of getting a proper external drive) when i needed more storage.

There are companies that can recover data from otherwise unmountable discs, but really prevention is the best cure.. like locking your keys in your house/car i suspect this is something that happens to everyone at least (hopefully *exactly*) once.
