Gangs of New Heaton - Old RP
This may be interesting to some of you, but then again it might not. We'll see. This was the first RP I ever wrote for, and it was one of the 2 début RPs on a site me and my friend made that... never went anywhere.
It is modern day, although it has Vampires (Vampyrs) and werewolves (Lycans) so I hope that counts as sci-fi and furry enough!
Two interesting (maybe) points about the Lycans description; This was very shortly before I discovered the furry fandom, or at least before I joined it. Reading back on my description, it's almost comic in that it pretty much describes the average anthro, but at the time I was sort of writing from imagination. Secondly, probably my most popular character on FA, Trey, was simply a Lycan character from this RP who I adapted for a comedy comic. My earliest drawings of 'Trey' are actually 'Jabez Wolfgang', my character in this.
Finally, this proves, if nothing else does, my love of screwing people over and having various different plots and motives going on in my RPs (See; Numberless) because I was planning on having a 'mole' in this RP group too, about 3 years before Numberless started! The whole quest was going to be about a new poison that only affected Lycans, and the group would be trying to stop this, but various characters would be blackmailed, bribed and otherwise approached to change their mind along the way. While all this was happening, I was planning on having several Gang Wars or other significant events happen over their heads, that they needed to react to. Certain important characters would be assassinated, and other such things. It's kinda obvious for a few of them, because my writing was even worse back then, but I hope you find it interesting anyhow.
The following is unedited from 2007, except for typos and about 2 sentences which didn't quite make sense.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gangs of New Heaton:
Beastiary:
Vampyrs:
Vampyrs originated from Eastern Europe (Prodominantly Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine) and are first recorded as having peaceful contact with humans around 1300. Though initially declared enemies of the church, the more humans found out about Vampyrs, the less difference they saw. Vampyrs began to recieve equal rights in the late 1700s, and by the end of the end of the 1800s were becoming globally seen as human's equals. In 1917 the first Vampyr rights laws were written in Europe, and a year later Vampyrs gained the vote (At the same time as women). Britain's first Vampyr Prime Minister was the Labour Richard Schiemann, who ran for 3 years from 1976. Since then there have been no Vampyrs elected, though there have been many running.
Vampyrs are in appearence very human. There are however several key differences. Most importantly, Vampyrs have two retractable fangs (Which begin to appear during sexual maturity). The fangs contain a lethal venom which solidifies the victims bloodstream in minutes. It is this that was the largest cause of segregation, and it was the discovery of the cure (See History and Historical Characters [Not actually included, although I wrote it. I believe it was lost when the site went down]) that led to their eventual acceptance.
Vampyrs also have very good night-vision. However, sudden bright lights can blind them for minutes at a time and cause violent headaches. In fact some people believe epilepsy to be a gene passed along from very early human-vampyr relationships.
Vampyrs often have small noses and slender finger, which also helped their intigration; Many great classical scores were created by vampyrs, as they find it easier to play the piano and the harp (As well as several other instruments). It is infact believed by many that vampyrs created the piano (Although this is unfounded).
Lycans:
Lycans are a race that originated from Nothern America, but since have become integrated, however slightly, into many human societies. Before the colonisation of America, they coexisted peacefully with most Native American tribes. However, for almost a hundred years they were either enslaved or forced into reclusion. It was only on the turn on the 20th century that saw beginings of their acceptance by humans and Vampyrs (Vampyrs having been integrated in human society since late 1700s)
Lycans appear at first as walking wolves (And infact that is where the name originates, meaning upright wolf in 19th century Vampyric) However, when inspected closer, they resemble humans a lot more. Their head is mostly like that of a wolf, except with human-like eyes and a shorter, thicker tounge, which enables human speech (The Lycans never had a native language. The vast majority spoke the language of the tribe or tribes of Native Americans with which they lived. Other, more reserved tribes of Lycans spoke a language individual to that particular tribe)
The body of Lycans is what most seperates them from wolves. Though still covered in fur, in almost every other way they have a human body. They have longer fingers and claws, but in most modern day human societies, mild changes have been made to neccessary everyday items which mean that Lycans can use any objects with as much skill as a human or vampyr.
Though the majority of Lycans wear clothes, they do not wear shoes. The souls of their feet are tough and are not hurt by gravel or tarmac. Lycan feet are also different to human feet, in that they are longer and have only four toes. The heel is less prominent and each toe ends in retractable claw.

Gangs:
Gang name
Brotherhood of the Canis Mortum
Description
A relatively recent cult who have spread through the crimeworld of New Heaton with unnerving speed. They worship Lycans as God manifest and believe that humans and Vampyrs should be slaves to the will of their Lycan lords. Little is known about them, other than that it is practiced by some sects of the cult to sacrifice heretics to a Lycan lord on the full moon. However, other than this members rarely show signs of violence, and are occasionally fully-functioning members of society. During rituals they wear white robes and wolf masks which leave the bottom jaw bare.
They are alone in that not one other gang supports their cause. However, not all other gangs are against them, either because they do not care (Such as the case of the Nightlords) or that they believe the Brotherhood is a greater hinder to their enemies than to them (Such as the BMA)
However, some gangs do wish to see the cult destroyed. The authorities are focusing increasingly on the Brotherhood, and the Street gangs, who have lost the most members to suspected cult sacrifices, have been known to join forces in the middle of gang wars to kill suspected cult members.

Gang name
NVC (National Vermin Control)
Description
Possibly the most controvertial gang, they are hated by the majority of the criminal underworld, and yet many important figures in New Heaton society secretly, or indeed occasionally publicly, support their cause.
The NVC are secretly funded by an unknown benefactor who works for the Government, and their aim is to eradicate 'vermin' (Lycans and Vampyrs) from the streets of New Heaton and, eventually, the entirety of Great Britain. They often spray slogans such as "Keeping your city clean" over the bodies of their inhuman victims, and as they target minorities, the authorities tend to overlook all but their most public crimes.
However, this slight advantage is combated by the hatred of most other gangs (With the notable exception of the Beresford crime family) who seek the destruction of the NVC, either because they are government funded or because the gangs believe Lycans and Vampyrs should not be discriminated against. It is noteable that the NVC are possibly the only gang with which the Nightlord bikers are constantly at war with.
They are usually well armed, having much funding. Only the two families can combat the amout of weapons that the NVC own. However, they are also a relatively small gang, and so generally this is not much of an advantage.

Notable Characters
Henry "VIII" Salworth
Henry Salworth is the boss of the NVC, given the nickname Henry VIII because of his bad temper and large stomach. More when I'm not braindead.
The assassins:
(Many details about the assassins are, by nature, unknown to all but the highest ranking NVC member. If the information is not given, such as age, physical description or even gender, assume it is unknown)
Kit "The fox" Renard:
Gender: Male
Description: The Fox is the most well known assasin within the NVC. This, however, is by no means because he is the best. It is simply because he does not feel the need to hide. He is famous for killing all witnesses, which the NVC have found useful when taking out groups of enemies. However, his kill-em-all tactics have caused a lot of trouble and brought a lot of unwanted authority attention onto the gang.
Weapon/s of choice: Machine guns, grenades and general explosives.
Tarja "The Eagle" Mayers:
Gender: Female
Description: While prefering to stick to the shadows and take out a target from a distance, The Eagle is often used to perform live extractions of targets for interigation, blackmail or torture. As such, she has developed a very specialised arsenal to prevent bodyguards of the target from recognising, or indeed even seeing, her. While she plans meticulously, her attacks are usually over in a matter of seconds.
Weapon/s of choice: Sniper rifles, silenced pistols, smoke/flash bang grenades and tranquiliser darts.
Gang name
Nightlords
Description
New Heatons only major Biker gang. They are a relatively passive aggressive gang, with the exception of the NVC, with which they are constantly at war. However, despite this, they are very unpopular with the public and authorities. This is because they cause many public 'disturbances', which usually entail riding around the city vandalising and screaming their alleigance to the Nightlords. Their general weapons are chains, crowbars, and other crude metal tools, but they occasionally carry sawn-offs and pistols.
The Nightlords also dislike the crime families; The Beresford family because of their dislike of Lycans and the BMA because of the tolls they imposed on the several bridges controled by them, which affects the bike gang more than any other gang because of how much they use the bridges.
Playable
Yes.
Territory
Though the Nightlords never attempt to expand the territory they have, they defend it fiercely; famously in Loopga Row during a raid of a pub 3 police officers were killed and 5 wounded by the gang, who were all unarmed. The territory they 'own' is several streets of bars and heavy-metal clubs in north-west New Heaton.

Notable characters
Steve Smith
One of the four founding members of the Nightlords. Steve, 42, is renound as being the most political of the four, and it is through his guidance that the gang stayed afloat through it's roughest times (Such as after Adrian Ger's murder). However, though he does not like most gang wars, he, like all other Nightlord members, attack the NVC whenever possible.
Recently, Steve has attempted to stop the Nightlords 'anitsocial' behavior, as he wishes to promote their being seen by the public as protectors against radicalist anti-lycan and vampyr crime.
Dave Harris
Another founder of the Nightlords. Like Steve, Dave is becoming less violent with age. He has always been known to have many contacts throughout every social class and is responsible for recruiting the most members into the gang. Because of the many friends he has made during his 'career' he is now being seen as an ambasador of the Nightlords. As such he is often out of New Heaton meeting high-ranking figures whenever it may be beneficial to the gang. However, not all of the Nightlords appreciate this, and some see his increasing absence as a sign that he wishes to leave the gang.
Yannick Murray
The only non-human founder of the Nightlords, the Vampyr Yannick has left New Heaton. The 45 year old, though still technically a New Heaton Nightlord, has started a second branch of the gang in his new city of Seigenham (Although the Seigenham Nightlords are struggling to gain a foothold in the city). Yannick left New Heaton after being pursuaded to by Steve and Dave, after several attempts on his life (Assumed to be organised by the NVC). Yannick is seen as a rolemodel for many Vampyr Nightlords, as he is a great leader and an example of the power and respect Vampyrs from poor backgrounds can achieve.
Adrian Gers (dead)
The fourth founder of the Nightlords and the only one to have yet been killed. Adrian organised most of the attacks on other gangs, and was easily the most violent of the four founders. Shortly before his assumed assassination (He was 'accidentally' shot dead by police during a drug raid in his appartment) he had been increasingly argumentative with the rest of the founders, especially Steve Smith. Nevertheless, the loss of one if their greatest fighters was felt across all the Nightlords, and his death is remembered by an annual bike show (Dubbed 'Gers of War' by some gang members)
Gang name
BMA (Beresford-Maier Alliance)
Description
The most recently formed gang, the BMA are a combination of the struggling Maier Crime Family and elements of the Beresford Family who remained loyal to Tomas Beresford when he abandoned his family's human-dominating regime. Tomas was struggling to maintain his buisness, being limited by lack of funds, lack of manpower and his own strict ethics. However, before his new buisness was destroyed by his brother (Mattius, who remained loyal to the Beresford Family), Tomas met with the Vampyr Daran Maier, and they agreed, after several meetings, to join forces.
With this alliance, the organisation manages to stay afloat and even struck a deal with the New Heaton Casino, bringing a constant flow of profit into the gang. After a couple of years, the BMA heard of Mikhael Parker who was the leader of a group of Lycans fighting for equal rights. Mikhael agreed immediately to become a part of the BMA. With this addition, the BMA have been able to grow and fight back against the Beresford Family, and control more of New Heaton than any other gang.
Though the BMA do fight in many gang wars, Tomas has forbidden his 'employees' from forcing shop keepers to pay protection money, as the Beresford Family does. This means that they must find their money through more ethical means, such as the New Heaton Casino. As such, they have a reputation among rival gangs as being weak. However, this occasionally works in their favour, as some gangs, such as the two street gangs, tend to overlook them.
Other than the Beresford Family, the greatest enemy of the BMA is the NVC.
Playable
Yes.
Territory
As well as the casino, the BMA own, protect or have shares in several major buisnesses across New Heaton as well as the majority of bridges leading out of the town. However, as they placed a tax on the buisiest bridges (For another source of legal money) the BMA have created much tension between themselves and the Nightlord Bikers, who travel frequently by road and so are forced to pay the tax more than any other gang.

Notable Characters

Will do him later
Mikhael Parker
The highest ranking Lycan in the BMA. Before joining the BMA Mikhael led a group of lycans who were fighting for equal rights, and even though they believed in force and physical violence, they did see the other races as equals. When the BMA contacted Mikhael and told them about their cause he immediately agreed, pledging complete alleigance to the gang. While this makes Mikhael a valuable leader and a loyal ally, he is also easily tricked if enemies are impersonating Tomas or Daran. However, since Mikhael very nearly fell into a trap set up by Mattius, he has been much less trusting of any orders given whilst not face-to-face. It is generally assumed that nothing could make Mikhael betray and of the BMA leaders.
Daran Maier
Intelligent and forceful, vampyr Daran has a kill or be killed attitude. He has little mercy for his enemies and enjoys personally killing targets, meaning he usually leads assasination squads. However, Daran does not have the same feelings when it comes to allies, and is generally forgiving and helpful, even though he is naturally untrusting and it takes a long time for him to see someone as a friend (Tomas is a large exception to this rule, and it is said that Daran trusted him at first sight. The only reason that the two gangs did not immediately join forces was Daran's second-in-command, who warned against rushing into agreements with a Beresford)
Daran is skilled in many forms of combat, and has not had the procedure to remove the venom from his fangs that many vampyrs have had in order to be accepted in modern society.
Gang name
The Westend Warriors
Description
One of New Heatons two major street gangs (The other being the Lu-Pan Clan). They are well known for their love of violent crimes, such as rape and mugging. However, they are accountable for less than 20% of the violent crimes in New Heaton (Excluding gang wars), where the Lu-Pan Clan are accountable for over 35%.
The majority of the crimes commited by the Westend Warriors are in fact drug related, with illigal drug dealing being the main source of income for the gang. Other gangs have taken advantage of the Westend Warriors 'drug parties' by assaulting the gang members there, who are usually too high to react in time, or at all. However, the gang often retaliate and members are known to boast that they are never out of a gang war for over a week.
The main enemies of the Westend Warriors are, predictably, the Lu-Pan Clan, although the two gangs have been known to join forces temporarily against the Brotherhood of the Canis Mortum.
The Westend Warriors gang colour is yellow.

Territory
As their name suggests, the Westend Warriors own the disreputable Westend of New Heaton. The area has the largest crime rate of anywhere in New Heaton, and most major buisnesses and figures of importance have left or avoid it completely. They also claim ownership of the few bridges out of New Heaton not controled by the BMA.

Notable Characters
Kieran "King of Westend" Royal
27 and married to Tara Royal. It is unknown how Kieran became the leader of the Westend Warriors, but his position is rarely challenged, not only because of his famous short-temper. It is under his command that the Westend Warriors have expanded their territory over triple, after almost being crushed several decades ago. He has many contacts in the drug buisness, and for several years has been slowly moving away from violent crimes and into drugs. While many gang members dislike the new less violent approach, none can deny the money that has been made through the new 'tactics'. It has also removed authority attention from the gang, as the police prefer to tackle the violent crime that is a trademark of the Lu-Pan Clan. However, some more veteran gang members retain that Kieran is infact just using drugs as a front to raise enough money to destroy the Lu-Pan Clan in a single strike. While he has not admitted this to even his most high-rank members, Kieran is increasingly becoming involved with arms dealers, hinting that he may be planning for an all out war in the years to come.
Tara "The Westend Queen" Royal
The wife of Kieran Royal. 26 years old and despised by allies and enemies alike. She is well known for being bosy and abusive of her powers, as well as being spoilt and being driven around Westend in a pink stretch limo. However, with all the powers granted to her by being of such a high position in the Westend Warriors, she knowingly and happily contributes nothing to the gang.
Ironically it is this very uselesness that has made sure she has not yet been assasinated. Most other gangs know that the Warriors would retaliate, and so the hit would cause more damage to their gang than it would to the Westend Warriors.
Among rival gangs (And secretly among the Warriors) she is nicknames "Queenie" or "Tiara Tara"
Samuel "The Brain" Burns
One of the most high-ranking members of the Westend Warriors, Samuel (or Sammy) Burns is the democratic side of the gang. He is a Vampyr and is aged 29. He is involved with lifting authority heat and making sure that some crimes do not get publicised, as well as solving Gang Wars without violence and allying or dealing with other gangs. As he attempts to solve problems without violence, he is unpopular among many of the Westend Warriors. However, he is well-liked by most of the other gangs as he acts as a restraint to Kieran (Often it is only his well-timed opinions that prevent unneccessary gang wars). Also, gang members do not appreciate how much Samual helps the gang. He is a valuable asset to the Warriors, and there are talks of renegade groups, such as the mysterious assassins, planning to kill him in order to cripple the gang.
Gang Name
The Lu-Pan Clan
Description
One of New Heatons two major street gangs (The other being the Westend Warriors). While they are considered less violent than their rivals, the Clan are infact responsible for a massive 35% of New Heatons violent crimes, making them the single largest cause of violence in the entire town.
While members of the gang may attack spontaniously, their crimes are usually well planned; They often take advantage of the Westend Warriors popular 'drug parties', waiting outside until the Warriors are high before breaking in and ruthlessly cutting down everyone inside.
The main enemies of the Lu-Pan Clan are the Westend Warriors. However, the two gangs have been known to join forces temporarily against the Brotherhood of the Canis Mortum.
The Lu-Pan Clan's gang colour is brown.
Playable
Yes.
Territory
The Clan own the south harbour of New Heaton. Since the initial take over (In which the Lu-Pan Clan forced the now disbanded KillaKoup gang out of New Heaton) the harbour has fallen into disrepair, and only small shipments can get through without the Clan's knowledge. The tax that the clan charge to use the harbour led most buisnesses to use the east harbour, which is further away from the center of town. Ironically though, many in-town buisnessed moved closer to the harbour to speed up delivery time, meaning that the East of town had flourished financially, and the West and South, owned by the two gangs, has a very high unemployment rate.

Notable Characters
Darran "The Boss" Swain
The leader of the Lu-Pan Clan. He is 31 and supposedly married to Kalisha (See Kalisha 'Swain's profile). Darran, who demands to be called 'The Boss' by all but his closest and highest ranking gang members, is well known to have a very varying personality. While he has a buisness mind (Having first had the idea to tax use of the harbour) he enjoys the suffering of his rivals, and often requests gang members to tape their crimes so that he can watch them in privacy.
He rarely becomes involved in Gang politics, though is known to occasionally ally with certain gangs if it benefits him. (However, he has not once allied with the NVC or the Brotherhood of the Canis Mortum). Possibly the best example of his allying with other gangs to benefit his own was during the middle of the two gang families war, when he was simultaniously arming both sides for a large price (As both gangs were desperate for weapons at the time).
He is commonly (But secretly) refered to as "The Clan Man" by gang members.
Kalisha 'Swain'
While she is supposedly married to Darran, that is a cover for her being with him. In fact she is a highly trained bodyguard. She is well-known for being sexist, though this is not true. The reason for this is that her elite squad of bodyguards (Supposedly given to her as protection by her 'husband') is mostly made up of women. This is a conincidence however, as more women passed the training course than men.
Her last name is known to no one but Darran, as anyone who is high rank enough to know that they are not married is close enough to call her Kalisha. She is known to have a mild dislike of Vampyrs and is skilled with a variety of pistols.
(Many details about assassins are, by nature, unknown to all but the highest ranking Lu-Pan Clan member. If the information is not given, such as age, physical description or even gender, assume it is unknown)
'The Suit'
Gender: Male
Description: 'The Suit' is an almost ever present figure shrouding Darran Swain. When he is not guarding his boss, he is on a hit contract. He is bald and wears shades, a black suit, tie and trousers. Nothing is known about his methods of assasination, except that when people are chosen to be killed by him, they end up dead (Or missing). He is disliked and mistrusted by many gang members, mainly after breaking the arm of a Clan member who had told him to "Chillax a bit".
Weapon/s of choice: Unknown.
Gang Name
The Beresford Family
Description
The first official New Heaton gang, having begun to practice organised crime almost a century ago. Their goal is nothing short of the overall ownership of New Heaton, and until several years ago, that seemed to be imminent. However, as the familie's power grew, so did their publicity, and eventually it became common knowledge that the family had a hatred of the non-human species. This began a fresh wave of gang violence from the vampyr/lycan friendly gangs, and after a few years Tomas Beresford, youngest son of the Beresford family, disbanded and formed another crime family.
Though at first it seemed that the Beresford family would crush Tomas and his small group, Tomas somehow became allied with the Maier Crime Family, rivals of the Beresford's. Since then the two families have been fighting for control of the city. The Beresford Family are not below blackmail, and most of the buisnesses in northern New Heaton are paying monthly Protection Fees to the gang.
Though the Beresford Family do not often have wars with the other gangs, when they do they are very violent and merciless. The main rivals of the Beresford Family are the BMA (Tomas's gang) and they are the only main gang not to be the enemies of the NVC.

Territory
Though the Beresford Family own many of the buisnesses in the north of New Heaton, their 'HQ' is a mansion on the outskirts of the town, away from the violence of the city centre.

Notable Characters
'Don' Steven Beresford
The current leader of the Beresford Family crime gang and father of Mattius and Tomas, Steven is aged 68. Though he calls himself 'Don' only in jest, Mattius and in turn those most loyal to Mattius have taken to refuring to him as 'Don' in complete sincerety. Steven is well known for having a hatred of Lycans (Although he sees slight interaction with Vampyrs as a neccessary evil) and it was his idea to form an 'unofficial' truce with the NVC.
As well as the truce, Steven has shown other signs of wanting less violence in his gang; He almost always refuses to attack the BMA, Tomas's new gang (Although Mattius commonly attacks the rival family) and has ordered his men to stop firing upon passing Nightlords. The other gangs are split on how to deal with this situation. Although many (Including the Lu-Pan Clan and the Brotherhood) see it as an oportunity to safely assasinate Steven, others (Such as the Nightlords and the Westend Warriors) reason that on Steven's death, Mattius would be given power and take new measures to remove all Vampyrs and Lycans from New Heaton. However, with Steven's health deteriorating, several Beresford Family members are already refering to Mattius as 'Don'.
Mattius Beresford
Eldest son and heir to the Beresford fortune. Mattius shares his father's hatred of Lycans, but equally despises Vampyrs. He has a very violent temper and is known to front many attack forces on other gangs. He is also responsible for the vast majority of the attacks on the BMA, one of whom's leader is Tomas, his own brother. He believes that his father (And in turn, himself) should be refered to as Don, despite his father's objections.
It is rumoured that Mattius is planning to kill Steven, in order to become the new Leader (Or 'Don') of the Beresford Family. He is increasingly angered by his fathers objections to gang wars and feels that the Family should require protection money from more buisnesses. However, nothing has been proven, and Steven does not believe that Mattius is capable of murdering his own father.
'Mac' Al
Steven's main bodyguard. He is very loyal and it is assumed that when Mattius takes over, he will retire. However, though he would give his life for Steven, he is in no way as against Lycans or Vampyrs as his boss. It is infact his advice which has allowed some of the other species to enter the gang. He is also practically impassive on other gangs, with the view that if they are not trying to kill Steven, they are not important.
How he got the nickname 'Mac' is unknown, but Al likes to be called it. Only Steven knows his last name.
'Fat' Rick
Bodyguard to Mattius and general hitman. Rick is well known throughout the criminal underworld, and is often nicknamed 'Scarface', due to his resemblance to Al Capone. He has a hatred of Vampyrs and Lycans that almost rivals Mattius's, and he and 'Mac' Al have argued many times over the direction that the gang should go in.
'Fat' Rick's weapons of choice are shotguns and Machine guns, and he prefers to the hit-and-run style of murder, often killing his victims in a public place, assuming (Often correctly) that witnesses will be too scared to tell the authorities anything.
Gang name
Unknown (No, that's not their name. Their name is unknown. People do not know their name. The knowledge of people who know about New Heaton gangs does not include the name of this particular gang, if indeed a gang it be)
Description
An increasing number of horrific murders have been linked to a mysterious gang (Or gangs) of assassins. The murders, which have no clear motive, are usually commited using close range weaponry, with victims being found with slashed throats or simply bludgeoned to death.
Though the 'assassins' started by killing only gang members, they soon escilated to civilians and members of the authorities. No gang has gone without some members being killed by the 'assassins', and none seem to be targeted more or less than any others.
Playable

Territory
The assassins pay no heed to the territory of other gangs, and have struck accross New Heaton.

Notable Characters
(Many details about the assassins are, by nature, unknown to all. If the information is not given, such as age, physical description or even gender, assume it is unknown)
The bogeyman
One of the only suspected members of the gang to have been named. The bogeyman has become the single most publicised assassin in all of New Heaton, and yet the authorities are no closer to catching him. The typical Bogeyman murder scene had around 5 or 6 victims, generally gang members and killed by knives. The bogeyman is the only suspected member of the gang of assassins to have left messages at the crime scenes; they are generally written in blood and in strange places, such as on the ceiling. Messages so far have included "Don't fall asleep", "Locks won't stop me" and the original; "A present from the bogeyman".
Wraith
The name given to a suspected member of the assassin gang after a series of similar and strange murders were commited. The bodies of the victims (Always on their own, unlike the work of the Bogeyman) are never harmed, and none of them have contained traces of poison. However, all have had looks of horror or shock on their face, and for the faces to remain in that way the deaths must have been quick. Often their are hints that suggest the victims ran before being killed, and several prominent members of the authorities assume that there is more than one "Wraith", and that one scares the victim into the hiding place of another.
Due to this, the word "Wraith" has become a synonym for an unknown killer.
