Member Shout-outs and Announcements in XAP

I have decided that the easiest way to get everyone involved in XAP is to have shout-outs and announcements included at the end of every episode or 'capsule' (name subject to change). There are two ways I will include this:

The first is for absolutely anyone, and that is simply to post a message in this thread or to send it to me by PM or IM if you talk to me offsite. I will gather all of these messages and read them out at the end of the soonest release possible (So never more than a month, unless specified to wait for any reason, which I am willing to do)
These messages can be anything that abide by the normal forum rules. Obviously no bullying or obscene content, but other than that you can pretty much go nuts. Advertise an RP you're starting or a story you've just posted. Thank another forum member for something, or give us a little message about what you think of XAP!
There are no limits to how many times you can send in messages, although of course I will only read so many out each release, so if you go overboard you might have to wait a little while longer before you hear it. But please no one hold back

The second method is a bit more involving, but will only be available to those of you with microphones. Simply do the above but instead of writing your message... record it! I'll play any recordings sent in, although if they're timeless (ie If you're saying something like "Good work on XAP guys, keep it up") I might hold it back until a full episode, because I'd like to have a lot of recordings played at the end of those if possible.

Finally, if you'd like to have your voice on XAP even more, I'd like to build up a library of people saying "I'm [name], and you're listening to XAP" or something to that effect. As long as it is pretty short and includes the word XAP (pronounced 'zap') then you can be creative. If I get enough I'll play one between each segment.

Just a little bump for this because not all of you may be aware of it (some members have joined/returned since this was posted I think).

I would love to make XAP more of a community podcast, so any announcements can be sent in and I will read them out or play them if they're recorded. As I said above, these announcements can be anything that would be allowed on the forum (meaning no breaking forum rules) so self-advertisement is fine! Also any comment on XAP itself, no matter how negative, would be appreciated.

We should have at least 1 written and 1 recorded announcement for the next XAPCap (planned release roughly 1 week from now) but I'd love more! Thanks in advance

Actually, I did. Here it is. Slice asked me for something with my name it, so I did a new one for the show.

Also, I have about a third of the Insatiable Curiosity recorded. I'll be doing some more on it tonight, hopefully having it done by the end of the week!

That's cool, but are you not still wanting me to edit it a bit? I know I've been taking my time, but for the last few days I've been working on an essay, which will be handed in tomorrow, so I'd be able to sort it out over the weekend.

I went ahead and did some editing to it, myself. I found myself with some unexpected days off, is how. But either way, I am getting it done.

Haha, good to hear! And actually Daryn I'm thinking Rick's bit will be in the next XAPCap, the drama one. Although obviously the shout-out will go in this month's. Odin's section was quite long in itself, and I haven't finished my own drama section. I know I have a month, but it's nice to have some buffer material just in case
