Re: The Valhalla Mission
“So…shoot them?” She asked looking over to Nel’el, “On it…” From an exterior they would notice that the space around the ship curved ever so slightly as the main gun fired. It fired six 50mm Neutronium rounds at nearly ninety five percent at the nearest ship, which was one of the ships that Cruurtun was hailing. While these rounds where small, they were extremely heavy each one had the mass of a small island.
Whether the rounds impacted their target or not The Quest for the End altered its heading so it could bring all its defense plating would be positioned for maximum effeteness. Looking at the ship they would see something that looked like half an egg hugging close to the hull of the Quest made form Neutronium plating…
“I never expected to enter in combat, do you think we could use the other ships to fighting for us…” Tezra asked, Nel’el thought about it for a moment, “Hmmm possibly, we will need to wait till the next encounter though. For now the best we can do is hang back…”

Re: The Valhalla Mission
The Excalibur fires it's beam cannons to keep the enemy ships at bay. Soon enough, it's primary capacitor banks are fully charged. The captain flicks his wings. "Fire."
An automated message is sent to all friendly ships by the AI.
*Bweeep... Bweeep...* "Attention all units: move clear of the enemy transport craft. Firing primary weapon in 10 seconds."
*Bweeep... Bweeep...* "Attention all units: move clear of the enemy transport craft. Firing primary weapon in 05 seconds."
*Bweeep... Bweeep...* "Attention all units: stand clear of the enemy transport craft. Firing primary weapon."
As it sends that final warning, the space in a straight line between the Excalibur's front and the enemy transport craft suddenly shimmers, as though it were a hot day in the desert. Less then a second later, the space in the center of this distortion glows bright green. It sheers clean through the enemy transport, emitting a piercing screech on all radio frequencies. Then as it intensifies, the distortions around the green beam turn more chaotic and dramatic. The enemy transport begins to get ripped to shreds, all the matter in it getting torn asunder as the weapon warps the space around the enemy ship, utterly annihilating the transport. When the cannon stops, only bits of shrapnel remain.
The captain looks over the wreckage. "Move to defensive power settings, let's leave some for our allies, eh?"
The shields flash again as more power is redirected to them.

Re: The Valhalla Mission
"Too late," muttered one of the officers on the bridge. Cruurtun threw his hands into the air, annoyed.
"Retarget, fire main gun," he ordered, "Fighters, assume defensive picket. Stay out of the main gun's line of fire!"
"Firing solution calculated... Main gun charged. Firing!"
With a report that was heard throughout the ship, the main gun unleashed the energy stored in its capacitors, an energy bolt lancing across the intervening space and striking the furthest remaining ship right at the centre of mass. As this happened, the fighters spiralled into a defensive formation around their mothership.
