Trimming the fat

Hey folks. I notice that we have a lot of stuff on the site that rarely gets used. I am wondering, of the features I'm going to mention, what would you guys not miss if it went away?

The Blogs
The Wiki
The Arcade
The Social Groups

Please let me know. I think if we could trim down the stuff that we don't use it'll draw more focus to the stuff that is.

The wiki and arcade I still like, though the arcade could do with some more games. (I think traffic slowed down after everyone tried their hand at the current array). And the Wiki was getting some nice expansions from the AoR stuff, I noticed.

Wiki is good idea - though I don't personally use this one I've used them before for another site and it's a nice feature

I don't use any of the other stuff at all so...

I like the blogs, although they rarely get used, and while I don't personally use the arcade I feel it's a nice addition, although I'd like to see it more focussed on sci-fi games than general flash games.
As for the Wiki, I like that we have one, and it has a lot of potential for if SciFiFur gets bigger. For now it's mostly just a reference, like Brome said.
The Social Groups aren't too useful. We're small enough that we all really know each other, and the kind of things we like. Those are really for much bigger sites if they're going to be effective.

I guess the Social groups are kind of pointless, yes. I think I'll probably take those out soon. As for the arcade, I've gone and changed things about a bit, getting rid of the crap Mochi games and adding a bunch more games to the list. So might be worth checking out again.

It would be nice if folks did use the blogs though, there's potential there, but I think there isn't much need for them when people have FA journals or other such sites. The wiki, well, it seems like it is getting used, so that'll stay around. I wish the bridge software would get an update though, it has a major style issue.
