Chad's grin faded slowly and a look of compassion for the ferret's unease came to him. Getting out of the car, he pushed the seat forward to let the ferret out, "My son, come with me. There's something you need to see." He let Jude get out before reaching in and unbuckling Jonsi, dragging him out of the car firmly, but not unkindly. Pushing the canine before him, he lead Jude into the station.

The inside was pretty much the standard cop set up. One side of the room held criminals waiting to be processed, the other holding people waiting to file claims, and the desk with the dispatch officer between the two. Chad smiled at the young feline girl sitting behind the desk, "Hello Sarah, got another one for process. Arson, attempted murder, evading an officer, vandalism, and public indecency," he chuckled, "little shepard here has requested a room with the stallions by word of mouth."

Sarah giggled and tapped several commands into the console next to her, pulling up the canine's profile after asking for the name. Chad pushed Jonsi into an open seat for processing and pointed at him sternly, "Now be good," turning, he put an arm around Jude's shoulder and lead him over to the side for claimers, "Look at these people my son. These are people who thought sticking it out would work. They held out until it was too late and most of them probably won't be heard."

Indeed, several of the people there were either crying or sitting there in a frustrated or angry silence. Chad let him take it in for several seconds before speaking again, "Do you want to wind up here my son?"

Jude looked out among the sad faces, and his lip quivered slightly, but after a moment he forced out a chuckle.
"So what, you think I should become a... a vigilante or something? Fight my own battles? Isn't that what you're all here for? Why should I be expected to tackle people like Kyle? I'm not trained, I'm not... I'm not fit for taking someone like that on" Jude was getting worked up again, he took a step away from Chad and started speaking a bit quicker "Am I really expected to go up to someone who's stealing from a safe, from their own company, and tell them to put it back or I'll... what, arrest them myself? Not rely on the police, on soul slayers? What am I supposed to do? What's this alternative life I could be leading?"

Chad gently took the ferret by the shoulders, looking him in the eye, "My son, I'm not asking you to do this alone. You're incorrect when you say that this is my job, it is my god given duty to ensure that people like you are given a fair chance in this life," he gently released the ferret's shoulders and looked at the various victims of various crimes and a look of pain crossed his face, "Jude, my son, I've seen too much of this because I can't be everywhere, I can't do everything, so when it's right in front of me like this, I can't just stand aside."

He locked eyes with Jude again, his mouth set in a grim determination, "I'm going to find a way to put this Kyle Green behind bars because he is one of the people that I'm supposed to stop. You're help would be appreciated, but I understand your reluctance, but Jude? From what I can tell, you're more than ready, you're just afraid of taking the first step. You know what they say about the first step? How it's the hardest?"

Chad took a couple steps away, taking a deep breath, "Jude, you deserve better while people like Kyle Green deserve to have everything stripped away from them. I'll make sure that no one finds out that I talked to you, but now I have a name and one name leads to the next and the next, so I'll start with Green, then I'll work my way to the heart of it all."

Janet dashed up the stairs to the front, then to the elevator. She was going to the fifth floor, so this would be faster. The doors opened and people piled in. There wouldn't have been enough room for her, but everyone pushed in a bit to give her room. It was a long ride up to the top floor, but each time it stopped there was a little more room as people got off. Finally, there was only two people as it went to the fifth and final floor. The other person was Larry, partier extraordinaire.

"And how are you, Larry?" She asked slightly louder than she should have. He winced at the volume, obviously still having to deal with his hangover headache.

"Fine...." he replied through gritted teeth. Janet smiled slightly to herself. He learned his lesson. The elevator stopped and she dashed out, heading to the main lecture hall, 503. The room was almost full. There was only one seat left, and it was at the front of the room, in the middle. She got a few stares as she took her seat, and there was some whispering in the room. It was 10:28, two minutes before the start of class. The dragon-bat she had seen earlier was at the front of the room getting everything ready to begin. It looked like now was a bad time to bother her, so she decided to wait until after class to tell her the message the SoulSlayer had said to give. So Janet sat there, waiting for class to start.

((Sorry I didn't get this up sooner. Stuff went down))

“Thirty five counts of assault and battery, twelve DUIs, possession of illegal substances, theft, oh and you’ll want to add five more to arson and six for assault on an officer,” Jonsi called out to Sarah. He shrugged, “I’m just a terrible menace.” He thought for a moment, “Then again, Muhamed Ali had forty and he was a god damn millionaire.” The seats were still as uncomfortable as he remembered. Unlike the others, he seemed rather comfortable. An expression of satisfaction played across his face. He’d be out. And sooner than any of them would like to imagine. The dolphin had already made the mistake of telling Jonsi his name and he was about to make another.

Jonsi looked to the other prisoners, sizing them up. They didn’t look like a very imposing bunch, more than likely the result of being in an upper middle class neighborhood. Jonsi sighed. They would have to do. He was more interested in the stallion and not in the way that Chad assumed. A frightening mass of powerful muscle and testosterone to most, but at this point in time, a crucial tool to Jonsi’s plan. The Australian shepherd held no illusions. He knew that this horse would have other, more primal intentions of his own. But if he refused, Jonsi would have to find another way and the stallion would suffer an unfortunate “accident”.

For a long time Jude was silent, staring at the floor, arms by his side. Then he looked up and returned Chad's gaze.
"Thank you" he said softly. He looked around the room again at the victims there, and paused in thought.
"I think... I think I'd like to know more about this SoulSpeaker offer now"

Chad's grin slowly returned as he patted Jude on the shoulder softly, "Of course, of course," he motioned for the ferret to follow him, heading to the car, waiting for Jude to climb in before slipping into traffic again, "well, a key skill for a soulspeaker would be organizing and managing the various data. There's a lot more of them there are soulhealers or soulslayers since it's the easiest rank to obtain, but for some reason they've really been neglecting the China Town area," he snorted, which sounded odd coming from the aquatic creature, "the soulwhisperers tried to fix that, but ended up sending in a bunch of half-trained, bumbling fools, may the God of Life guide them." He quietly moved his lips in prayer for a moment.

Shaking his head, he continued, "Somehow they manage to keep up with their work, but most think it's because of the soulhealers that work with them," he paused again before smiling broadly, "and you need to get a pair of sunglasses. Some of the speakers have some really, really bright auras."

“Nice everyone is here…” She said to herself going, “Can I have…” No one was paying attention to her just talking among themselves. Instead of yelling she walked over to one her Boards before pulling down a blackboard with surprising force. Anyone looking would see hundreds of marks already on it. “Good morning class!” She said this while walking across the board dragging her claws across the board in one neat arc making that horrid noise that makes so many people cringe… Now that the room was silent she smiled. “Right now that I have your attention, welcome to my class, Now I plan to torture each and everyone of you in an educational manor that will beat the basics of the arcane into your brains, From now on you are my Neophytes Also the top three students of my class will receive a full ride scholarship for this college.” She was talking fast, “Now when you signed up for this class you would have received a syllabus so you should know that we are heading out to the main parking lot, follow me!” She said walking out the main door…

(OOC the lack of periods in her dialog is on purpose she is absolutely wired so all of that is one breath...)

Janet was sitting down, daydreaming, waiting for class to begin. In the middle of a sugar-coated castle, there was a huge slam, and then a high-pitched SSSSKKKKREEEEEEECCCCHHHH as the instructor dug her nails into the board. Janet had to fight her every instinct not to howl in pain, right after that, the instructor dashed out of the room. Janet lifted her robe slightly so she wouldn't trip over it, and followed quickly along with most of the class. She promised herself that from now on, she was wearing pants to class. A few members of the class gave up trying to keep up after the second floor down, and another group gave up on the third floor down. By the time they reached the bottom floor, Janet was part of a little less than half the class that had kept up to that point, and at the back of the pack. Finally, students out of breath, they reached the parking lot. Janet, panting, had almost forgotten about the assault on her ears, and was definitely going to have one of the other soulhealers look at them later, as they were still ringing. If everyday is like this, I'm changing my major! She slowly made her way to the front of the group. Taking a cue from other students, she sat on the pavement wondering what could possibly be next.

The noise of the woman's claws digging into the chalkboard didn't really seem to have an affect on Jace, though that could be for the fact of his earphones till being in as he listened to music, waiting for class to begin. As he saw the claws swipe across and stop and her mouth begin to move he removed the earphones. As he heard mention of the syllabus he sighed. Even though he's technically registered for the class, he forgot to actually acquire what was needed. He shook his head and noticed everyone getting up and he followed suit. The teacher's speed not being a major problem for him because of his harsh childhood and always having to run to survive anyway. He would be one of the first out at the main parking lot, folding his arms over his chest, his satchel at his side never leaving it anywhere because of what lies inside of it. His eyes watched his surroundings slyly though he kept his main focus on the teacher. His fingers cracked and he did the same with his neck. His right hand then slipped into his pocket as he played with a few tiny metal spheres he had from the broken bench that he morphed while he waited so early on in the class room. His eyes fixed onto the woman teacher now and waited for the demonstration.
