    Default Realm Walkers

The Endless Journey was in route through FTL to the nearest world they had detected after they exited the warp. At the moment it was “Nighttime” on the ship. The Endless Journey was an interesting ship to say the least. While the inside of the ship looked like any conventional ship that would be found among many universes removing just a few panels would prove that idea dead wrong. While the inside of the ship was metal, just under the surface the ship has several biological and technological systems interwoven so seeing flesh was a common occurrence for those that worked on the infrastructure of the ship.

As of this moment the crew is spread out among the few decks minding themselves or asleep…

    ---

“Shit duck!” Sofia hit the pavement without a second thought as the order was called the across the squad. Just as she ducked a wave of plasma blew through the area that her body had just occupied. She could feel her heart beat pulse through her wings as she got up. Just as she regained her balance the short wave radio went active. “Ravager, fleet wide communications are down break left and inform command that sectors four is lost to enemy units. We are pulling out.” The voice was that of her commander. It didn’t take long for her to be at a full sprint as her team covered her exit. Thanks to her status as a kinetic she was able to use her abilities combined with her armor systems drastically increase the speed at which she could cover the ground that she was on. Even then, as she ran she was hit by the tail end of a massive pressure wave. Looking back she would see the blooming form of a mushroom cloud…

She jolted awake at the nightmare that was going through her mind. No matter what she did it seemed like she was going to have to relive that moment every other time she closed her eyes. Sitting up in her bed she rubbed the sleep from her eyes before looking out at the blue glow that was flowing around the ship just outside her window and sighed. “No going back to sleep now…”

She slowly got out of bed working the knots out of her limbs before taking a hot shower. She didn’t bother turning on any of the lights she could see just fine from the glowing portions of her body. After taking a show she dried off, and didn’t bother to get dressed. She figured that the majority of people where going to be asleep for the moment anyway and thus made her way to the bridge without encountering anyone. Not she would have minded so much, she was more worried about them being uncomfortable, but that didn’t bother her at the moment. She walked unto the bridge taking her seat in the pilots chair which her and Frelak spent a fair bit of time making.

Unlike the other universes they had been in before this universe was far smaller than any of the universes they had gone to before. From their scans from the outside of the universe the current one they were in was about ten light years across. It was the reason for their drastically reduced speed at FTL. Even then they were coming up on the world rather fast. It took her less than a minute to have the ship make the transition from FTL to STL travel.

“Ariel, begin scans of the planets in the life zone…”

Jaxamar was asleep as well, and was also disturbed by nightmares.

"Warforged down, need an Artificer!" a voice yelled, and Jaxamar spun to the left, dropping down to cover.
"Artificer, on the way!" he shouted in reply, motioning for Maya to follow him. The little constructions that followed her clicked, rattled, and clattered as they hurriedly carried the battered Warforged to cover. The living construct had shut down to avoid further damage, but it was still semi-aware.
its metal skin transmuted under Maya's deft hands, the damage to the plating and woody muscles beneath seemingly mending itself.
"Thank you," the construct's hollow-sounding voice said as soon as it was able to move again, "I am able to continue."
"Be careful out there," Maya replied, "There aren't many original Warforged like you left."
"I acknowledge," he replied, taking up his gun and rolling to the nearest cover.
Maya passed Jaxamar a ceramic sphere, and the golden Dragonborn nodded.
"Frost out!" he yelled, flinging the device at the enemy. An explosion of icy cold engulfed one of them, and Jaxamar dropped back behind cover.
Maya nodded to him, her scale/chain hybrid armour, an unusual thing for a modern Artificer, clinking as she moved.
The battered squad fell back. Nearly out of ammo, they were being forced to pick their shots carefully. Even the Warforged, able to carry more weapons and more ammo than any of the others, was running out.
"Titan!" yelled one of the dwarves, "Warforged Titan!"
"Where in the name of the Dragon Sovereigns did they get one of those?!" Jaxamar spluttered, as the Titan's arm-mounted cannon blew away the cover of one of their squadmates.
"Khyber's maw! Where are they all coming from?!" yelled their human wizard.
    "Incoming!"

"Gah!" Jaxamar gasped, sitting up abruptly in bed. Maya was at his side already, holding out a cup of water.
"Thanks," Jax said, accepting the cup and gulping it down.
"Do you need a Goodnight Tincture?" the female Dragonborn asked.
"No, I'm all right... Don't need any more sleep anyway."
Jax got up and grabbed his jacket. Fur-lined, the jacket was nice and warm, and there were stiffened leather plates to provide protection from melee attacks... although Maya had had to cut holes into it to accommodate his new wings.
He pulled it on as he stepped out of his quarters, and headed towards the bridge. All he really wanted to do was watch the stars.
When he stepped onto the deck, he froze, then covered his eyes.
    "Captain! Put a shirt on!"

(Oh, by the way, the streak of mithral-coloured scales in his "dreads" has only just appeared, Nelle.)

Data streamed through Goliath's systems as the AI wandered the empty corridors of the ship. Years of sleepless nights often lead Goliath to lapsing into long bouts of thinking, like he was doing now. His current topic of thought was the tension he often found between canines and felines. Sure, there was the hereditary dislike for each other, but you'd think using rational thought they'd overcome it, but still canines and felines were more likely to try and kill each other than be friends. Well, there were the cases of interspecies relationships, but the offspring were often ridiculed by the "pure-breeds."

A new line of data interrupted his musings and his patrol as the ship's computer alerted him that the captain was up and reminded him to report to her on the bridge to report the "night's" rather uneventful events. The AI chittered as he sent his confirmation that he'd received as he turned and wandered toward the bridge, his various weapons clinking on his body now and then. The interruption brought Goliath along a new line of thought: the captain.

She'd been one of the very few that had known he was a full-blown AI rather than a VI or "dumb" AI and hadn't tried to either dismantle him or control him. Instead, she'd offered him a place on her ship as part of the security detail. Goliath gave out a sound like a chuckle as he remembered the incident...

Goliath had been interested in the ship since it docked. It wasn't like the others and the security was tighter that a size 0 on a very, very large girl. Goliath had made it his personal mission to get into the hanger. He'd decided to hide in one of the many crates of supplies that were being loaded on the ship, but he'd been caught at one of the checkpoints and the hanger security was about to scrap him when the captain came by to give the AI a piece of her mind before abruptly changing tunes and asking him to join her crew... or be subject to her engineers.

Goliath stepped onto the bridge during the tail end of his personal flashback and heard someone exclaim about a shirt. He matched the dragonborn against the profiles in system before stepping forward, eyeing the dragonborn sideways, "The Captain tends to prefer nudity over the restrictive qualities of clothing and as she is currently acting captain, she has the authority to allow nudity on her ship," he paused, looking at Sofia, before adding, "and according to my data on organic attraction, the captain is what you would refer to as 'sexy,' meaning that your current discomfort is due to sexual tension. I recommend a cold shower, I've heard it does wonders," he saluted Sofia, "reporting no problems during night cycle ma'am."

Frelak tosses and turns. Seems this night was bringing nightmares to many of the crew.

“Frelak, the coffee machine is broken, and there’s no way to fix it!

Frelak falls out of his bed. “Nooooo!” He shouts as he wakes up, before he realizes what just happened. “Oh… it was just a dream…” He breaths a sigh of relief. He sits up and changes out of his pajamas. He had had nightmares before, and doing stuff once he awoke always made him feel better. He walks over to the workbench of his private quarters. He takes a seat and looks at the contraption he had been building before going to bed.

He stares at it for a moment “…Yup, no idea what this thing is. Time for coffee!” He ponders. Only coffee machine onboard that would be on right now is the one in the bridge for whoever needed to respond to something up there…

Frelak opens the door and begins to head towards the bridge of the ship. He walks on in. Sofia shirtless doesn’t phase him now, he’d been with her since the beginning, and was the only other remaining member of the original crew.

“ ‘Sup captain.” He casually greets as he makes a beeline for the coffee machine.

Jaxamar was tempted to whack Goliath over the head, but refrained, rubbing at his eyes.
"It's been five months and I'm still not used to being aboard."
He added something in Draconic, a saying that had emerged from the Draconic Prophecy back home.
"Captain, what's the word on our destination?" Jax asked after a long moment, glancing at her. His discomfort wasn't really from sexual tension (he wasn't at all interested in her; she reminded him of a Warforged he'd once seen), but from the fact that a lady was topless, something simply not done back home... or what had been his home.
Jaxamar drew his pistol and began field-stripping the weapon, the four powerful digits on each hand deftly working across the contours of the familiar weapon.

Turin had been standing at the door to the bridge, hand on the pistol in his holster, watching the crew silently for some time. After a while he relaxed, hand dropping to his side, and walked forward, although he eyed Jaxamar cautiously as the dragonborn began to work on his own pistol. He approached the captain, eyeing her briefly but saying nothing, and gave a casual salute. Then he gestured to the coffee machine and said "Got anything a bit stronger?"

((Sorry for the short post, but if I'm not mistaken he's not been on the ship long at all, so he's not familiar enough with most of the crew to launch directly into conversation. Also, he didn't have a nightmare last night, so I naturally assumed that there was nothing else interesting he could have been doing ))

    duck, weave, jab...miss.*

She bounced back and forth on her paws, the crowd around them cheering as the fight went on.*

She stood to the side, and spit a mouthful of blood off the side if the ring...she was battered bruised and bleeding...and all she could think about was how bad her hair must look.*

The bell rang and the two fighters stepped to the center again, gloves raised as they danced around one another. The ref yelled something and stepped back.*

She took the first swing, the faceless opponent blocked it perfectly, it parried with a blow to her shoulder. Fuck. She pulled her arms in tight, protecting her face as the faceless came at her again, driving hard at her shoulders and face.

A sudden blow to the gut had her keeling over...her face completely exposed.

The faceless didn't miss the chance.*

Time seemed to slow down as the fist connected with her jaw, a strong uppercut, driving her up and sending her sprawling on her back, out like a light. The crowd around the ring cheered and hollered as the ref held the faceless' arm in the air.*

The crowd and the ref faded and the ring went silent, only the lights on the ring still lit. But the fighter remained. The fighter watched her a minute as she stirred, and slowly approached, kneeling down beside her as she rolled onto her stomach

"better luck next time" the fighter stood again, looming over her like a shadow of death

She made as if about to say something as she propped herself up on her arm, but before she could get it out, the fighters foot connected hard with her side, and sending her rolling under the wires and off the side of the ring...and she was falling...the floor far below rushing quickly up to meet her...

She jolted up and fell backward off her chair with a thud and a groan. "...fuck" she sat up and rubbed her head. She stretched, groaning again as her muscles complained from sitting in that one spot for...she checked her chrono and cursed again. She'd been in there eight hours again. "god dammit..." she looked up at the box towering over her, the challenge of challenges, a technological feat of the great Orions...and kicked it "We play my game next time!" she would've sworn the box laughed at her. "yeah yeah...we'll see who's laughing when I whoop your ass at something I'm actually good at..." she pushed the chair at the box and grabbed her hoodie as she stormed out, tired and drained from the experience*

As she cleared the doors to the cargo bay, the ship shifted, and she felt the drop from FTL. Mustve dropped to a new universe...she still had to get use to saying that...new universe...not new galaxy.

She stopped a minute and shook her head at the thought. She pulled a little device from her pocket and the big headphones around her neck started blaring a guitar solo. She nodded, satisfied with the decision and headed for the bridge as she threw on the black hoodie with her favorite band logo on it

The doors hissed open before her and she stepped onto the bridge, only noticing the large group gathered around the main screen after she grabbed herself a cup of coffee. Her eyes scanned the group from beneath her long bangs, her eyes falling on her captain, stark naked and sitting in the command chair. She smirked "bad time captain?" she took another sip of the coffee

"A song of change is sung." mused Ete as he made his way to the bridge. His head was cocked slightly to the side as he strolled, not a care in existence. He smiled and nodded a greeting to various members of the crew down the corridor, despite no one actually being there. Finally, he made it to the door of the bridge.

"Let us not tarry." smiled the dragon, opening the door. He took a step in the crowded room and looked around. At the other members of the crew, control panels, walls. The walls especially seemed to appeal to him at this moment. Casually, he raised his right arm, smiled, inhaled a deep breath, and put his hand on the wall. When the vertical surface met his palm, he exhaled. A more relaxed stance one could never achieve.

Suddenly he turned, legs parallel, shoulders back, arms at his sides. In stark contrast to only a second ago, the whole of his body was now rigid, standing at attention that only years of military discipline could provide. With great haste, his right arm flew up from it's side, bent at the elbow, he hit his chest with a closed fist and held it there.

"Oh Captain, my Captain!" he exclaimed, his voice booming like so much thunder. Focused was he, eyes with glowing blue specks trained on the captain, waiting to be set at ease. Indeed, Ete was comparable to a statue.

“Oh no this is a wonderful time.” Sofia said, “Also Ariel Code Brown.” Just when the ship engineers coffee was pouring he was getting decaf coffee instead of the normal coffee that served on the ship. “It’s for your own good Frelak.” She said not specifying what just happened. She looked to Ete, “E, come on this ship is causal in discipline no need for the solute…not that you’ll listen…” She whispered at the end. She leaned to the left a little and the chair turn in place to face the majority of the group. “Right now it seems we are in the smallest universe that I have been in.” She pulled up a scan of the surrounding area but it only covered ten light years. “That folks is the entire universe. Three star systems, fifteen planets one habitual and it seems like there is life on this one world too and that’s where we are going.” It zoomed in on the planet it was given a random numerical name. “It seems…active…” There is a video of an orbital shot of a chain of floating islands. “I’m interested in this world so we are going to land. Now are there any questions not related to my current state of clothing or lack thereof. I know I’m decent to look at but that’s not the purpose for us being on this ship.” She chuckled at the end of her sentence before changing the view to set of mountains that where erupting.

"You're aware that good looks are subjective, aren't you captain?" Turin said with a grin, nodding towards her breasts which, to his eyes, looked deformed and unusual. The Cahabīn equivalent of breasts were the sack on their chins, which both genders had but only the females had nipples on them, from which they fed their young. Because of this, breasts are not considered sexual body parts in their culture, and those species with two breasts often appear as though they have been in an accident, and the middle of their breast has deflated. To many Cahabīn, therefore, it is comical that so many species seem to advertise this quality in themselves.
"But yes, I do have a question. What do we seek to gain from such a small universe? Isn't it probable that they are either many years behind our own, with a smaller universe probably being a younger one, or that they will be scared of us or violent towards us, as we will be the first aliens they have ever been exposed to?"

Goliath chittered as he examined the feeds that Sofia showed them. 'Blinking,' the AI turned toward Jax, "Negative, quantum fluxuations are inconsistent with that of your world," turning toward Sofia, he 'blinked' again, "and a question to qualify along crew member Turin's question: with all the activity in this universe, wouldn't the native life forms have been forced to evolve at a faster rate to keep up with the changing climates?"

The AI leaned in toward Turin, lowering his vocal output to a whisper level, "Apologies for any offense taken, this unit runs off of home universe standards and fails to take alternate preferences of bodily appearance into account."

"Phizlbaum-Aessanktusi, Captain!" Ete exclaimed in his native tongue as he fell backwards to the wall and slid to a sitting position upon hitting the surface. He brought his hands together in front of him and began touching his fingers together in random order over and over again. Every time he pulled his fingers apart, the buzz of electricity could be heard as well as seen for about two inches before it disappeared with a snap when his fingers would get too far apart.

"I'd like to swim in those waters." he smiled, his head and gaze drifting to nowhere in particular. "I'd like to catch the biggest fish I can find." Ete began to rise to his feet, dropping his hands to his sides. He began to mumble something quietly to himself. Anyone close enough to him would simply hear what sounded like gibberish, although it was the same gibberish repeated over and over.

Frelak takes his coffee, and sniffs it. "What? Decaff? NOOOOOOOO! Damn you, code brown!" he hangs his head and goes to sit in his chair, pouting melodramatically. "I just wanted some pick me up..." He sniffles, but clearly isn't in that much distress. But man, he wanted that coffee. Even if it meant he'd literally be bouncing off the walls for the next two hours... He grumbles and sips his decaff, reclining in the large (to him) chair.

"So what're we looking at? Puny verse, one good planet. Well good, hopefully we won't be shot at as much this time. Also, if you can, get more welding supplies. I'm almost done building the xenon collector, but I still need tungsten or copper or something I can use to weld something to something else. On that note, we're at 50% duct tape reserves."

Frelak finishes drinking down the decaff and proceeds to place the cup on his head, muttering about not being allowed to drink caffeine.

"Do you really need duct tape when you've got someone who can meld the structure of the things you're trying to bond?" Jax asked, referring to Maya; although her capabilities were limited when dealing with the organic components of the ship (something that both Dragonborn were still a little unnerved by), she was capable of binding any metalic structure, and her constructs were able to get into tiny places no one would fit into.
Such as what skittered onto the bridge now; a small spider-shaped construct with grippers instead of pedipalps, which had appeared on hearing electricity arcing. It stopped when it realised that the electricity's source, and spun around a few times as if trying to find something to fix. When it didn't it zipped to Jax's side, and held the parts of his pistol for him.
"Eh... Hard to tell sometimes," Jax said to Goliath, shrugging.

Italy smiled at the response, then stuck her paw in the air, waving it rather ridiculously back and forth "oh! Oh! I got one!" she clasped both hands on the mug again "is the current lack of clothing a privilege reserved for the captain only?!" she couldn't help but giggle like a child at the question, she knew it was stupid, but the hell with it! It was fun! She sipped her coffee again, her eyes going wide beneath her bangs as the little mechanical spiders filed onto the bridgeIf anyone had blinked, they would've missed her scramble to the top of the coffee machine. "keep those things the fuck away from me!" she spat, her fur visibly bristling at the sight of the little creations. They reminded her of the nano outbreak from a few years back on her home world, the damage they had caused before the trinity had decided to simply blast the area with one massive EMP, destroying all the electronics with them, was utterly devastating. Granted now they had precautions against such a thing happening again, not to mention with her implants, she was probably as dangerous to the machines as they might be to her, probably more so...but they still creeped the living fuck outta her

"Hello..." spoke Ete as he took a step towards Jax. The arachnid like construct ensnared his attention with a web of intrigue. He bent down until his head was level with the machine. Eyes unblinking, he studied it from only a few inches away not respecting Jax's own personal space. It wasn't more than a few seconds before he brought his hand up, and with one outstretched finger tapped at it a couple times. An innocent grin fell upon his face. He then turned over his palm, seeing if it would climb onto him.

However, at that moment he caught Italy move out of the corner of his eye. An odd reaction he thought. Or was it? 'Is there something I don't know?' thought Ete, now slightly on edge, a reaction to her reaction. The most evident display of this were the metal rods on his back. While they had been innate for a long while now, electricity began to arc between them. They were similar to what he was doing with his fingers earlier, but larger and potentially more hazardous.

He was practically frozen in place like this, on edge. The Belui inhaled a deep breath and closed off his nostrils. Still within the vicinity of Jax, his hand even closer to the construct.

Jax jittered sideways away from the Belui, swearing in Draconic; although he was used to dealing with small crackles and even the electrical storm Maya could breathe out, he just couldn't really handle someone who handled electricity in such a manner.
The arachnid construction, having instructions to avoid damage, slowly moved backwards.
"It wouldn't hurt you and it can't in any practical manner," Jax told Italy, "I mean, it could poke you in the eye with one of its legs, but that's about it. Seriously, it doesn't have fangs or a mouth."
He paused, then added under his breath, "if you're acting like this with a harmless helper construct, I wonder how you'd take a Warforged."

"Never apologise for offending someone," Turin grunted to the robot "and never apologise for saying something that you thought was true"
After that, he was silent for a few moments, staying out of the coffee/duct tape debates, but at Italy's reaction he snapped into action. He strode immediately over to the spider-like construct and, ignoring both Jax and Ete, scooped it up bodily, marched to the door and threw it out. He closed the door behind him, and then walked over to Jax, locking eyes with him.
"That woman saved my best friends life, and if she wants something gone, then it's gone. If you think that makes her a coward, then you had better come out and say it, instead of muttering under your breath like a chastised school-boy"
After finishing that challenge, which was spoken loud enough for all to hear, Turin stood his ground, waiting for Jax's response.

Goliath could tell tensions were rising about the same time that Italy panicked. Then everything started to fall apart and the AI figured it was time to step in and do his job as ship security. His repeater chimed as it powered up in his hands, drawing it off his back. He held it at the ready, but not pointed at anyone in particular, "Crew members will cease all hostilities both in and out of the presence of the Captain or you will be incarcerated until such time that the Captain finds it acceptable to release you and continued offenses will lead to indefinite incarceration under the Prevention of Mutiny Act."

Goliath quickly scanned the profiles of the crew members on the bridge, then turned to Jax, "Crew member Jax, crew member Italy's home was attacked by mechanoids that are of similar build to your personal aid-bot. Psychological profiles suggest that she would attempt to talk to a 'Warforged' for long periods of time... or sell it on the black market."

The AI's gaze turned to Turin, "Crew member Turin, Crew member Jax comes from a people that believe entirely that battle prowess determines your place in society and is having difficulties adjusting to parallel universe standards. On top of that, his society is, to be to the point, is very third world in equality of sexes. Please attribute crew member Jax's intolerance as a side-effect of his upbringing," Goliath looked at Ete now, "and crew member Ete? Please recall that that personal space is important to most organics and invasion of that point is unnerving to most."

Finally, Goliath looked at Italy, "Crew member Italy, there is only one of them on this ship and if it shows signs of hostility, most crew members are armed and ready to deal with it."

“Oh it’s too damn early for this…” The Captain rubbed her temples in irritation, “GUYS! Shut up and pay attention I’m only going over this once.” She waited for their attention before She got up going over to the projection of the world and manipulated the image highlighting a plateau. “From Ariel’s scans these seem to be the most stable area on the planet for us to land even that isn’t saying much…” They would watch as a large section of the Plateau just lifted itself off the ground for no visible reason spin a few times and land back in its former position. “So once we land Ariel will keep the ship hovering at about fine hundred feet above the Plateau…

“Captain…” There was a feminine voice; it was the voice of the ship’s AI. Next to the project of the world anthro dragoness much like the captain appear. “This world seems to have a natural form of Antimass…at least that’s what I can theorize from these readings we keep getting from all over the planet. Frelak would you like to confirm?” She sent the data to his omitool.

“That’s interesting but irrelevant to our current chat, now we are landing ten minutes get ready…” She started to walk off the bridge before stopping. “…So any questions?”

"Ha...hehehe...ha...haha." Giddily, Ete raised his hands until the tips of his fingers rested just under his upper lip. He tapped several times and smiled while also standing back up (seemingly out of his defensive trance). "Sit and sigh, do or die... hehehe." quietly he spoke, as Goliath was talking. At the mention of his name, however, he cocked his head towards his left and smiled at the AI. "The Selkis invaded my space once hehe... Flash of red, now I'm dead! Ha hehe... But I wasn't really, and now I'm here!" his hands dropped as he finished talking, head going back to a normal, upright position. His giddy expression faded and was replaced by that of indifference. "Not a terrible result for an invasion of space."

Turning to the screen, Ete observed the moving mountain. "Ha, my people had a saying, 'Alda aster alda salin,' or 'Winds that move mountains.' He paused for a moment. "Granted, that isn't the whole saying, and I doubt it was actually moved by the wind." Once again, he paused and pondered a thought indicated by an inquisitive visage. "Then again, a new universe... I suppose it could be possible."

Jax winced; he hadn't realised that it was the construct's body-shape that was the problem. The little mechanoid had been built before they'd ever come aboard, and its body shape decided for utility purposes. Unfortunately, the sudden expulsion of the little helper meant that he was left with half a deconstructed pistol, and the parts needed to finish reassembling it on the other side of the bridge doors.
"Turin, you do realise it was holding the slide and hammer of my pistol?" Jax said flatly, holding up the deconstructed weapon. Oh, never mind."
The construct had opened the bridge doors again, sliding the parts towards Jax across the floor. Then it scuttled out of sight.
"You know, if I didn't know it wasn't intelligent, I could have sworn you hurt its feelings," Jax commented, leaning sideways in an attempt to keep track of it, but it was already gone, so he turned his full attention to what he'd just heard and seen.
"Did... that section of the plateau just rise into the air and spin? And what in Xoriat is Anti-Mass?"

Frelak ear-perks with a bit of a 'shwoop' noise from those gigantic ears of his. "ooh, Anti-mass? Could always do with some of that." he opens up his tool and begins to review the readings, tail wagging furiously behind him. After he looks over the readings for a moment, he says, "Yup, definitely anti-mass. I wouldn't say it's entirely irrelevant Sofia, if we could extract some that stuff has all kinds of applications I could use to tune up the Walker drive or power core."

Frelak spins the chair to face Jax. "Anti-mass is material with negative mass but all other forces react the same to it. It's useful for all kinds of things, really. Also, keep that bot out of engineering. I have enough distractions having to poke Tesla off the power core whenever he takes a nap."

Speaking of being tired, Frelak wistfully gazes at the coffee machine.

"Maybe you should ask it to do that for you?" Jax asked, "You can also ask it to hold tools or parts you need; Maya does it all the time. And it's not a robot, it's an automaton."
He was grinning cheekily at Frelak, just to show him that he wasn't really being pedantic.
He then paused, and turned to look behind him. A tiny humanoid figure was marching its way across the deck; it tripped over the slight groove where the door was, then continued, saluting the Captain and Jax, before snapping to attention and seemingly staring at the screen.
"Wha-?" Jax wondered, leaning over so he could take a closer look. It certainly had many of Maya's design markers, but he'd never seen this before.
It abruptly spun around and saluted the captain again, a squeaky "Atteeeen-shun!" emerging from it.
Jax distinctly heard Maya giggling from somewhere just out of sight, and grinned.

"fuck you jax, I'd rather fight a bloody dragon the one of a nano construct any day of the god damned week" her ears perked up as Turin removed the small creation from the room, but still she remained, on top of the coffee dispenser, swinging her legs around to sit perched on the edge now. "thanks Turin!" she smiled at him, as odd as she'd found the creature, there were certainly perks to having befriended him, even if it made conversation a little awkward at times

She looked up, or rather, down from her perch, at the captian as she started detailing the planet. Italy cocked her head to the side as the plateau lifted, rotated and dropped back into place on the main screen. "Antimass?! your not serious..."retoricle of course as she spoke to the AI "I though Antimass was barely possible on paper, let alone a fully inhabitable planet!" she then looked to the captain again, the wry grin on her face again "you never answered mine from before captain!"*

Satisfied that the current emotional crisis had been averted, Goliath returned his weapon to his back. He watched the video feed of the floating, rotating landmass impassively, not sure what to think about it. When the captain called out for questions, the AI stepped forward, "Yes Captain. Please specify mission objectives listed from primary down to secondary and any other objectives of lower necessity if any apply." The AI wondered if the Captain was slipping today. She hadn't said two words about an objective yet.

“Well our objectives have yet to change since anyone has actually joined the crew. We can’t go home so we explore until we get bored and move on. Second to that is to keep the ship in repair that’s his job…” She pointed Frelak with a small grin. “Those are our main objectives, now Frelak, if you think the Antimass is worth checking out feel free, take Goliath and Italy with you, you’ll need the help. And no Italy it extends to the entire crew, I have answered this before. The Rest of you are with me, we are going check out this island chain in the inland sea. Scans seem to point to it being a Fresh water sea that’s interesting…” She was stopped midsentence when she looked at the thing walking on the bridge, She was confused but was quickly annoyed, “Someone shut that thing up or I’m putting it out the air lock piece by piece” Any further movement by the machine or whatever it was would be halted by an inertial field, even its voice systems where halted.

She pointed at Jax, “That girl is your charge; you make sure shit like this stays off the bridge…” The captain’s tone had changed, while she had invited Jax, Maya had been a tag along that the captain wasn’t happy about so it made it far easier for her to annoy the captain. “Right now like I said you have ten minutes, if you have any more questions save them for me when we get to the Cargo bay. Each group will be getting a Skid today…Italy…do NOT let Frelak drive.” She said before walking off the bridge before coming back for a sec. “Oh Dismissed…” then she walked off.

Jax sighed and shrugged, scooping up the toy soldier (for that's what it was; a magi-mechanical toy), and storing it in his backpack.
"Roger that. Heading for the cargo bay," he said, picking up the parts of his pistol and rapidly re-assembling it. He holstered it and exited the bridge.
