The King Raven aka AASF-01X (Advanced Atmosphere to Space Fighter) was one of the rarest relics left by "The Creator" (humans) during the time of the great war that ultimately wipe them out to extinctions.

Although the King Raven was pretty much visual resemble to human mass product LF-33 Raven but the technology King Raven uses was far beyond any man made items. Humans Technology experts say that this kind of technology was called "Xenos Tech" the technology that humans has stolen or adopted from other more advanced civilizations beyond the gate of Trinity. And because this the King Raven was one of its kind and can not be reverse engineered due to the level of sophistication.

X3 we're not godlike, it says so in the description that humans stole the technology required to make the King Raven. So... more like devils then? X3 either way this is really epic. Oh, btw Legacy? Here are some additional infos. . . In my universe mankind was know as a warmonger the civilization that develop itself under path of war and destruction. During their days human was either feared or respected by other races.

At first they considered that humans by overall as under-developed judged by the youth of the race so they tend to just ignoring them. But as more they studies on these chaotic creature that wage war among themselves countless of times like no other races did and still survive. Soon the society of galactic unity aka "The Union" slowly come to realized the true capability of destructive and survivability nature of this race. In earth years 2106 The Union have lunch the greatest join-operations observation to this planet and the result was both surprising and terrorizing. Though the human's basic technology level may seems ordinary but the technology for war efforts was like 6 centuries or more ahead of their time some devices may even proven already more powerful compared to other advanced races in the Union. With this shocking result the Union has demanded an immediate action to contain or to control this rapidly growing violent race before it was too late and the Kaisarion has answered that call. As the Union enforcers and military superpower the Kaisarion was known for it might, honor and ruthless battle tactics.

In earth years 2112 humans has learn that they really are afterall alone in this universe everyone else out their wants to destroy them and the war of humans and Kaisarion as has began. Everyone believed that the result of this battle was almost a certain that human will be complete annihilated in matter of weeks. But this race has surprised everyone yet again. The massive armada of Kaisarion ships was able to penetrated the humans deference as expected but not in weeks but in years and also suffered the loses like they never have experienced before in any battles. As for this the Kaisarion has respect the humans as a battle worthy and refused the final orders of the Union to make an invasions to there home planet. And to make matter worse for the Union the Kaisarion has given the humans a protection against any further assault attempts. Soon the Kaisarion was becoming the humans first and the strongest non-humans alliance. With the news of two super military power joined force panic spread like a plague among the Union. And in earth years 2133 with the Kaisarion support the Union has no more choices but to accept this young and war hungry race of mankind in to there ranks. Years later with aid of Kaisarion the Human's war technology shift drastically twice the rate as before which worries other races even further more.

In earth years 2150 the anti-earth Extremist groups secretly supported by the old Union has forge a plan to sabotage humans strength. By studies on human society structure more carfully they learned that human are separated by smaller factors call "Nations". For the Extremist this is the opportunity to stir up the chaos and create untrust among themselves as mankind used to be before the war with the Kaisarion. In 2161 their plan was finally set in motions Earth has separated in to two major factions called the "WEA" Western Earth Alliances and the "PGC" Pacific Global Coalitions and thus the Great war that will ultimately destroy the mankind has began.

In earth years 2243 eighty-two years after the first bullet was fired the world of man was reduced to nothing but rubble. Almost 98% of humans populations was either consumed by the fire of wars or melted in massive radiations level that filled the earth. Finally the humans has stop this senseless war and later realized to the truth that this is nothing but a set-up by the Old Union. But everything was too late for them fix now. There populations was far too few to survive so they place there last hope in one of their best creations during the last war. . . the Animus.

The Animus was a radiative immunity half humanoid supreme being created to serve mankind in both war efforts and other working labors. By mixing up the base structure and intelligent of a human and combine with the unique attribute of various animal to suits the working task the Animus are proven superior than its creator in every aspect without any human's flaws and sickness. 40 years later the last humans has died due to the poison of radiations this specie has at last faced its own extinction and left the young Animus to heal the war torn world which later they call it "Xennos Prime" or "Home of the Xenos"



As for the Kaisarion when they learn that this was the action of the Union's shameful tactics to destroy the humans they swore to themselves to become their internal enemies and will stop at nothing until the last of the unworthy and shameful blood of the Unions peoples will be spill. And thus the beginning of the galactic wars between the Kaisarion and the Unions that has been raging all over the galaxy ever since.

Ah, so the humans were ultimately manipulated into killing themselves by the space aliens.. neat solution, given that the aliens would obvs want to avoid another direct conflict. Whole thing has kind of a Day the Earth Stood Still vibe to it, only grimdark.

I also like the idea that using a "divide and conquer" strategy was non-obvious to the Galactic Union, what with them not being warlike and all. Have to say tho that i think a North vs South division is maybe more likely than an East / West one?

Excellent idea to make the Animus originally be war animals, that sounds quite plausible.

What's the New Union's opinion of the Animus, and vice versa?

Well yeah it does sound more reasonable. Maybe I'll need to revisiting this part of story plot abit more. . .

What's the Union's opinion of the Animus, and vice versa?

Well the Union are pretty much busying fighting to survive the Kaisarion's wrathful onslaught. Too busy that they wasn't even notice the existing of the Animus surviving the great war. As for the Animus they probably never forgive the Union but doesn't seek for a vengeance ether. Now all they think is to survive and rebuilt this broken world. But the legacy of war will still pass on to the Animus as part of them still is a human afterall.

The fear of the Union was partially justified. Humans are far too war-like to easily accept and they can upset pretty much everything. I don't agree with their rather shameful if intelligent method of destroying humanity, as such I'd prefer if the Old Union were destroyed down to the last planet. A very interesting story however, and one that is very well founded in reality given how humans will almost certainly be divided by the term "Nation" for centuries to come. Personally I find patriotism and the word nation to be ridiculus concepts, pride in where you come from is perfectly reasonable but, I just don't see why it's so important to be from one specific spec of dirt rather than from some other spec of dirt, sociological development and inherited views is all it is.

Totally! The whole idea of categorizing ppl based on where they happened to be born is just pointlessly divisive imo, we'd be better of without it.

It's interesting, and I realise that these sort of "back-handed" tactics are usually thought of as worse or less honourable than full warfare, but Thomas More raises an excellent point in his Utopia (I don't claim this idea to be at all mine, but it convinced me to his way of thinking on the matter):
Assassination, spying and spreading dissent are usually considered horrible, but they actually save lives if done properly. Assassination goes straight for the leader instead of both leaders sending wave after wave of young men (and sometimes women, depending on the society) who have no reason to kill one another. If the leader falls, thousands of soldiers on both sides are saved from the horrors of battle. In More's fictional society, they would pay nobles massive amounts of gold (they didn't value gold themselves, so they had a surplus of it) to oppose their own leaders, meaning that the leaders couldn't summon their armies, and were either deposed or killed, leading to death counts of the tens or maybe hundreds and no more.
In Legacy's case, destruction of the race was the end goal, so a full frontal invasion, while seeming the more honourable thing to do, would simply be sending thousands of their own people to die for a cause they can achieve without any allied deaths, whereas the same amount of humans would die, assuming the invasion was successful. So if we're looking at things from the point of view of the greater good, the Union's tactics were the kindest solution (out of the solutions involving mass genocide that is...)

I understand what you mean Slice, but look at what happened. The Old Union is now at war with a race they cannot hope to defeat. Also when you are someone like me, you can easily say you are more honourable given how I myself don't use massive armies, I use mechanical soldiers operated remotely or a mere handful of exo-armored pilots. In short, wars, the way I imagine them, would be fought by hundreds of soldiers, not tens of thousands. So in short, these tactics would cause more harm then a conventional war in a universe the likes of which I theme, because no actual soldiers are present at all on the field of battle. Guess it depends on the theme or method, but these tactics hold value to us humans and other races who actually have entire armies comprised of living soldiers. Now excuse me if I quote myself a few times here X3 it's 1am and I'm not really sound of mind cause I need sleep! But, pick it apart still if I said anything that has any value X3
