So today I was browsing through Netflix and I had a look at the SciFi section. I decided to watch Terminator 2 again. It's pretty amazing how well that movie holds up even today. Sure the technology is a bit dated now, but other than that, it's still a really enjoyable movie.

That got me to thinking, how well do other old movies hold up?

    Anyone have any similar experiences?

Granted it's reeeaaally slow, '2001: A Space Odyssey' is excellent.
Disney's 'Black Hole' (circa 1979) is another interesting one I've always enjoyed.
And last but not least (for now) is 'Logan's Run'. This is actually my favorite of the three, and one of my favorites in general.

I watched Rocky Horror a couple weeks back for the first time ever and loved it. Absolutely cannot believe it was, what, '75? Incredibly 'out there' and pushing all sorts of boundaries.

Other than that, being a post-apoc lover means I can't help but be a bit of a fanboy for 70s - 80s movies in the genre. After all, the Cold War brought out the best in post-apoc fiction. Boy and his Dog (AKA Psycho Boy and his Killer Dog) is brilliant, as is Threads (thank you Borg) and The Bed-sitting Room, although again, that does suffer pacing issues.

Brazil is great, as is, on a related note, almost exactly half of everything that Monty Python ever made.
