Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
In the distant corner of the Milky Way, there is a world where biomechanical life-forms evolved. Many of these beings were tamed for military purposes, where their superior combat capabilities could be fully exploited.
These biomachines are known as Zoic Androids, "Zoids".
Peace has reigned for twenty years on this planet, "Zi", since a small band of adventurers saved Crown Prince Rudolph (Now Emperor Rudolph), and the events surrounding the creation (and subsequent near-destruction) of the Guardian Force, including the awakening of two Death Saurers, and the death-defying manoeuvre of firing Van Flyheight's Blade Liger from a Gravity Cannon as a projectile.
Zoids are no longer used solely for military purposes; a Zoid Battle Commission, in charge of sanctioned gladiatorial battles sprang up not three years after the Guardian Force's triumph at the ruins of New Helic City. With the sudden jump in demand for more advanced, better zoids for both the military and the Commision's Warriors.
This resulted in accelerated research and the revival of older, extinct but highly effective designs.
However, recently remnants of the Zenebas Empire, loyal to the dead Gunther Prozen, have followed Gunther's son, Helios Prozen, in a secession from the Guylos Empire, taking with them some of Guylos' most advanced designs. They have formed the Neo-Zenebas Empire, which has started aggressively expanding in the abandoned Northern continent known as "Nyx".
It was recently discovered, however, that Helios, a trained scientist himself, not only sanctioned but was a scientist in horrifying experiments, genetic, biochemical, and cybernetic, to make better soldiers, even before the secession from Guylos. The surviving subjects have been found. Emperor Rudolph and the Republic's President are working alongside the Guardian Force, to provide accomodation and therapy to the traumatised test-subjects.
This is made difficult, unfortunately, because the survivors are no longer human. However, it seems that parts of the experiments were a roaring success; many of those that survived their "augmentations" are adept in the cockpit, or if not, as mechanics.
_______
The races of Zi as it is currently fall into several distinct catagories, or "Races", as some might say. They are listed below.
:: Humans ::
The human race is the most prevalent on Zi, having arrived almost 1000 years ago aboard the colony vessel Globally 3, which crash-landed roughly where the border between Helic and Guylos currently stands, and adapted extremely quickly to the ion-rich environment. They also survived the disaster that obliterated one of Zi's three moons far better than the other inhabitants of Zi.
As an unusual adaptation to Zi's environment, virtually all humans have at least one strangely-coloured birthmark. As an example, the red stripe on Van Flyheight's (and on his sister's) cheek. It should be noted that similar birthmarks seem to run in families. These birthmarks are usually either red or blue, but purple examples, and other even more exotic colours have been seen.
:Roleplaying tips:
Standard humans run the gamut from beggars to Emperors, healers to jerks, nerds to thugs. Be whatever you want.
:: Zoidian ::
The "Ancient" Zoidians are the native humanoids of Zi. Although their physical attributes are not much different from humans (although they might be a tad less atheletic), they have a tendency to have strangely-coloured or oddly-behaving hair (With Reese and Fiona Elise Linnette being an example for each, respectively), and while some have birth marks, these are often a completely different colour to the norm for humans (such as Fiona's pale teal spots just beneath her hairline.
It should be noted that Zoidians often have unusual abilities (mainly unique, such as Reese's ability to manipulate minds), and communicate with Zoids and Organoids much more easily than a human might. However, their physical body is far less capable of adaptation, and they require a substantial amount of salt in their diet.
:Roleplaying tips:
Zoidians tend to be more military-minded and clan/tribe oriented than humans. Also keep in mind that they are able to understand Organoids when they speak, and often ask strange questions or have strange-seeming tastes (such as salt in their coffee); however, most Zoidians have only recently awoken from stasis slumber, and some have yet to regain their memories. This can lead to awkward situations.
:: Zoid ::
Zoids fall into two basic catagories; military, and wild. Both types are quite alive, even if a "military" Zoid is equipped with parts that can be removed and replaced without actually harming the Zoid itself. A "Wild" Zoid carries no ranged weaponry, but has incredible speed and manoeuvrability to compensate for this (which is sometimes exploited in military designs such as the Konig Wolf and Liger Zero). However, since the meteor disaster, Wild Zoids have been incredibly rare.
Occasionally a military Zoid strays off, and becomes effectively "Wild". These Zoids are usually left alone as they are usually docile unless provoked. These Zoids are usually just termed "Wild", but the correct term is "Stray".
Any Zoid can be fused with an Organoid to improve performance by several orders of magnitude, but this is usually done with military Zoids, which have more combat options and survivability.
As a side-note, all Zoids are capable of gaining experience and power, becoming powerful in their own right. Some even eventually undergo an orthostasis (( OOC: correct me if that's the incorrect term)), transforming into an entirely new machine. An Organoid is capable of magnifying this by several orders of magnitude, causing it to evolve even with much less experience than might be considered normal for this "evolution."
Curiously, a Zoid turns to stone after its death, even military ones. The reason why the military zoids' artificial bodies do this is currently unknown, but it might have somethign to do with their ability to self-repair.
:Roleplaying tips:
Playing a military Zoid is impossible to do easily (unless they are a stray), and a "sleeper" really is impossible. However, wild Zoids are quite rare and usually wary of humanoids and even stray Zoids. However, some sorts of Wild Zoid tend to run in packs (I.E. Biozoids, which I'm including specifically as a rare form of wild Zoid). However, some Military Zoids still do gain personalities of their own, which may sometimes clash with their pilots.
:: Organoid ::
An Organoid appears to be a miniature Zoid, which usually doesn't stray far from its bonded partner, usually a Zoidian. Each Organoid is as unique as any human, with their own personality and capabilities. Many have unique powers (Specula's ability to amplify Reese's mental capabilties, as an example), and are usually fairly gentle.
It should be noted that Organoids are only a little less rare than Zoidians, and not many outside of that race bond with one (although it has been known to happen).
An Organoid is always capable of fusing with a Zoid to increase its capabilities, "flashing" (a sort of short-range teleportation during which they transform into energy, which is also the means by which they fuse with a Zoid. However, they cannot pass through walls this way), and even reviving a dead, petrified Zoid. Fusing has also been known to instantly and completely heal any damage a Zoid has suffered.
A curious part of an Organoid's anatomy is a hidden chamber embedded in their torso. The purpose of this seems to be to carry their bonded partner should they get into trouble (they have been known to use this and their "flashing" capability to eject with their partner from a critically damaged Zoid). Females seem to use this as where they develop their eggs (it being the most convenient place for this).
:Roleplaying tips:
A lone, unbonded Organoid is rare; they are usually bonded at birth to a Zoidian or human. Some, however, emerge from stasis and bond to anyone that might happen to be around, despite already having an owner/bonded. It should be noted that they seem inordinately attracted to Zians for some reason, although this has not been observed as of yet.
:: Anthromorph ::
Anthromorphs are the main result of the sick experiments of Helios Prozen and his science crew. Although their actual species varies wildly (Like with Zoids) they all have a few things generally in common; a human mind (usually badly traumatised), inside an anthropomorphic animal's body. An extremely recent addition to society, anthromorphs have incredible difficulty fitting in, especially since virtually nothing is built to accomodate their often radically-different bodies.
Although stronger and faster than humans in most cases, uniforms, chairs, and Zoid cockpits have to be specially customised or tailored to fit their needs. In an ironic situation, the experiments that created them were a success, and they are better able to communicate with Zoids and Organoids than a standard human, although organoid bonding rates with them do not seem higher as of yet.
A number of these creatures have adjusted surprisingly well to their situation, however, and have joined the military, as was Helios' project goals... however, they seem to have joined his enemies, rather than his own military.
Many have cybernetics lacing their bodies. Usually these seem to have no use beyond gathering power to use further augmentations, and perhaps giving the person a decorative glow.
:Roleplaying tips:
Anthromorphs are usually traumatised or amnesiac. Being a new race drawn from a wide gene pool, their overall personalities are as widely varied at humans and Zoidians. Some are startled by how Zoids react to them, and some swear up-and-down that they can understand the giant mechs... which some actually can. Anthromorphs hate being referred to as "Furry", "Lizard" or anything derogatory (depending on their actual species).
:: Zian ::
A Zian is the ultimate result of all the experiments performed by Helios. Human, Zoidian, and Zoid DNA was fused together with extensive biochemical augmentations and cybernetically-created Zoid armour.
Zians are all unique; many, many different combinations were tried, in an attempt to find a particular type that would work best. Of the more than five hundred created, only a few species of Zoid were left out (mainly early, clumsy models).
Several of the "Late Model" Zians carry a new system called the "Evolt Unit", a system that allows them to almost instantaneously shift between armour and weapon configurations. Larger versions are being created for use in active combat Zoids in the Guardian Force (the Konig Wolf Evolt and Murasame Liger, both with two extra "Forms", plus the Arsenal/Phase liger, and a Liger Zero armour with this capability), but these Zians remain, thus far, the only units with the Evolt Unit cleared for active combat.
Zians often have weapons and/or other equipment built into their armour, which can't be removed. Asking them to disarm will often result in them merely disconnecting these weapons from their controls and power supplies.
Zians have computers tied to their brains, which, although cognitively seperate, run parallel and allow a Human or Zoidian brain to cope with extra sensory information without long periods of aclimation (although this still happens slowly over time, reducing their reliance on these computers until it is nill, when the computers switch over to direct computing, making their brains more efficient).
Flying Zians usually have six limbs (two arms, two legs, and two wings), even if their Zoid species only usually has legs and wings (I.E. a Zian Raynos), to allow them to actually fight effectively on foot.
:Roleplaying Tips:
Most Zians have had their identities erased, and replaced by self-chosen or friend-given monikers that fit them. Because of this, they might seem confused or naive, or might be worldly, but have no idea who they were previously. As with Anthromorphs, they were pulled from a very wide gene-pool. Newer Zians often speak sarcastically to, or give verbal commands to, their neural computers before true integration occurs. Zians invariably take offense when referred to as "robots", and have a much deeper connection to Zoids and Organoids then even the Anthromorphs and Zoidians, being much closer to them in nature. The majority of Zians can instinctively understand a Zoid or Organoid when they speak, but some do not. Zians, despite being human or Zoidian previously, find that their armour is actually very effective at acting as clothing, so they rarely find need for additional clothes.

So what do you guys think? Would you want to play? If so, I write up a CS and direct you to a Zoid database.

Is it necessary to know much about Zoids to be part of this? I've never really heard much of them, but this seems like a neat mech heavy setting that I might enjoy.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
No, you don't have to know a whole heap. However, the Zoids wiki might be able to help you if you want to know more.
http://zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
A few Zoids are disallowed for roleplay reasons; they're simply too powerful, and will only be piloted by NPCs except under certain circumstances (which I will outline when they occur).
Also, some, such as the Ultrasaurus, and the Deathsaurer, will be banned because of their rarity, and some experimental units will only be available to Guardian Force members.

I haven't heard about zoids in years! I was disappointed when they ended it...I'd definitely be down for a go in this rp! Sounds like it's got serious potential xp

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
Well, looks like there's not much choice. Those of you who want to play, we'll be going ahead, but I certainly wish there were a couple more.
CS:
Name: (Full name, or the selected moniker for Zians)
Age: (Be careful with Anthromorphs and Zians; they have to be relatively young. Also, Zoidians are given physical age, not chronological; it wouldn't make sense, given their stasis time)
Gender:
Race: (Human, Zoidian, Zoid, Organoid, Anthromorph, or Zian)
Affiliation: (Helic Republic, Guylos Empire, or Guardian Force [Neo-Zenebas is banned for story reasons, but their Zoids can be used as captured machines])
Distinctive markers: (birthmarks/strange hair or tattoos for humans, Zoidians, and Anthromorphs, painted/scoured markers and/or unusual equipment on biomechanical races)
Zoid: (Pick any standard or customised Zoid you've found; search DeviantArt if you want; there's a fair number on there. Some Zoids are banned however. If you have no chosen Zoid, simply say "Assign for me")
Overall appearance: (How your character looks overall. Include picture if wanted.)
Personality: (How they act and react to various situations)
Role: (What your character is trained to and/or likes to do)
List of banned Zoids:
Deathsaurer and derivatives
Ultrasaurus and derivatives
Seismosaurus
Konig Wolf Evolt (Taintblade and Kaiser Wolf)
Murasame Liger and derivative units Hayate Liger and Mugen Liger
Gairyuki with Shin equipment (story reasons; standard Gairyuki is not banned)
Liger Zero w/ Buster Falcon armour (unit is known as Hitokiri, and this is for story reasons)
Gil Vader and derivatives
Arsenal Liger/Phase Liger
Gunblaster and derivatives (simply too many guns, you know?)

LoL in in the same boat there xp had a character in mind, but she almost doesn't seem suiting with the skid design I want to use...and if it's alright, I kinda wanna see I can't try my hand at a custom zoid, I'll fall into catagory with another type, it's just gonna be styled and armed a bit different, if that's alright, otherwise I'll dig through the list and find the closest match. Might take me a day or two to pull off the char sheet, I don't have access to my laptop and Internet till tomorrow morning to start work on it ^^;

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
As long as it's not derived from one of the banned types, that's fine. Feel free to go right on ahead and create a custom Zoid.
Please note that the Gairyuki with Shin equipment will be appearing, but at a prototype assigned to a Zian Fury who has an Evolt Unit.
CS for my own character (I'll be participating as a PC as well as the moderator, but don't worry; I won't give myself unfair advantages):
Name: Leonidas Dragonblade
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Zian Fury (Evolt Equipped) [Note, this particular Zian is based off a Berserk Fury and its CAS armours. Additionally, he's able to assume a Gairyuki form, but it's confusing for him. However, in the early part of the RP, the Evolt ability is locked as he hasn't learned to use it yet.]
Affiliation: Guardian Force
Distinctive markers: Evolt Unit; standard form is basic Berserk Fury armour with the Buster Claws replaced with Storm Fury ion boosters. Regardless of form, carries the Guardian Force logo engraved into his breastplate. Has both the Helic and Guylos emblems painted onto his boosters in standard form. He possesses a modified form that allows him to use the Buster Claws of the Berserk Fury's basic Particle armour, and the X Breakers of the Storm armour.
Zoid: Gairyuki Shin (A Gairyuki with prototype Shin upgrade)
Overall appearance: Pretty much what you would expect from a Fury, at least in standard form; white armour, black underneath (the only part of the colour scheme that sticks through all of his forms), with a quartet of ion boosters/particle inlets on the backpack. When he switches to blade form, his armour turns shimmering gold, and his forearms gain the X Breakers, while the Buster Claws replace one set of boosters. In standard particle armour, his armour becomes matte black for some reason (the Buster Claws replacing the ion boosters, of course).
In standard Storm, his armour turns a bloody crimson, and his forearms gain the X Breakers, while his head armour shifts to the jutting-chinned armour that is part and parcel for the Storm armour. When he goes to Gairyuki form, his armour turns brilliant chrome-blue, with semi-translucent orange panels (the ray-absorbing veneers), and sections can disconnect to become miniature versions of the support Zoids deploued by the Gairyuki, but simultaneously remain linked to his mind so he can control them with thought alone (although he gets bewildered easily when he does this; currently he can only deploy one support unit at a time).
Personality: A scarred man, generally quiet, but he will eventually open up to those that show him kindness. He earned his moniker of Leonidas Dragonblade due to his occasionally warrior-like tendencies and because he is often described as dragon-like, despite his tyrannosaur-type body. He remembers his past fairly well for a Zian, as he knows that he originated in the Wind Colony, like Van, but that his family was murdered by Helios' men when they kidnapped him. A virtually brand-new Zian, he will occasionally make sarcastic or irritable comments to or about his neural computers. He likes to tinker and build things, and can repair and service his somewhat-exotic Zoid very well.
Role: A Zoid pilot who can also maintain his own machine.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
....That is one helluva tricked out zoid yer pulling on us to start with there dude...nothing about that character sheet is giving me a good vibe...especially since you're the GM...I would've thought you might've backed off on the overpowering a bit with that role in place...but I guess we'll see what happens...
Name: Axel
Age: 7 (Physically and mentally in her mid 20's)
Gender: Female
Race: Anthro(Lynx)
Affiliation: Guardian Force
Distinctive markers: A one inch red stripe running over his head along the right side of his face, gaping the space around his eye before continuing down his cheek to his chin and stopping
Appearance: 5'7", with a fairly well built frame of a skilled mechanic used to working hands on with her equipment. Her fur pattern is standard Lynx, dark along the back, with lighter sandy color to the fur along the chest and muzzle. her ear tips are an almost black in color. she sports long, soft brunette hair, drapped over her shoulders and half across her face when the chance allows, keeping it tied back in a functional ponytail as needed. She sports a generous bust beneath the formfitting suit she almost always is seen wearing, the colors matching that of her zoids configuration, covered when off duty by a set of loose, deep blue mechanics coveralls. her handpaws are worn and tough, but have a soft quality to them that she seems to take a great pride in.
Zoid Designation: Fanged Rose
Personality: A rather kind hearted Anthro, has a solotary streak a mile long, though often interacts with others on a fairly 'normal' level. has some scarring hidden beneath her suit, exact causes of the scars is unknown as she never speaks of it, she also has a level of mental scarring, though appears to have come to terms with her creation and a past that no longer exists in memory, or record that she has found. She tends to stray or try to change the subject when brought up. She has slowly come to understand her inate knack for 'communication' with the zoids, though it still unnerves her on ocassion, it gives her a rather unique ability of being able to diagnose problems faster than even some programs designed to scour a zoid system for errors and malfunctions.
Role: Pilot, General Maintainer, and Master Mechanic. she can fix, maintain, or pilot any zoid that allows.
Zoid: Stands a mere 23' foot at the shoulder, medium weight plating across most of the body in standard set up, plates are a rich gloss black and placed in critical points along the zoids frame. a set of small, mounted canons are set into the armor along the sides of the facial plating, allowing for visual based aiming, close quarters, and high precision attacks. a 'whip cannon' is mounted at the end of the long tail allowing for quick fire and defensive attacks when cornered or pinned. a set of light Plasma Lances are mounted over the hips for medium and ranged attacks. Scans of the Fanged Rose Unit, and behavioral comments, have shown a 'black box' at the heart of the beast, indicating an Ultimate X system within the unit. Teeth are made from the hard Metal Zi, and has Magnesser ports spaced all across the units body, for reduced weight and added agility.
-Changing Armor system(Breaker/Standard/Panzer)
--Breaker Unit - Upon the switch to the Breaker unit, all armor plating is swapped out for lighter, Magnesser equipped plating, further reducing the weight of the unit in exchange for lowered defense. making up for this drop in defense, is a glossy sheen of energy shielding, active only when the Magnesser systems are not due to power requirements, though the switch between power couplings is near instantaneous, it still requires the switch. armor color becomes a pearly white with this change, and rear mounted plasma lances are entirely removed, leaving only the cheek mounted, and tail canons as well as the Metal Zi fangs, the only means of offensive attacks.
--Panzer Unit - with the change to this unit armor, weight no longer becomes an issue, and standard or breaker plating is changed out for the heaviest of the systems, the Magnesser system built into the unit itself, working only to maintain a neutral weight. rear mounted plasma lances are removed and replaced for a heavier design, using four heavier grade lance coils built from a Metal Zi alloy. an additional power unit is installed along the spinal braces for the additional power requirements of the Heavy Lances. both tail, and facial canons are also upgraded for heavier damage.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
You should maybe note that I haven't banned certain types of Zoid, and the Gairuyki has its own limitations. Also, the Evolt unit can only change Zoids between ones with a very similar body. Hence why my character can change into a Gairyuki, but not into something more basic like a Redler
Now, that Zoid you've chosen is interesting, but you haven't told us what type it is. I have no idea at all what it looks like. Is it a Liger? A Tyranosaur-type? And who built it? Or was it found stray by your character? Unless you can give us more details, I'm going to have to assign a different Zoid to you... by your Zoid's capabilities, it'd probably by a Liger Zero or a Lightning Saix, maybe even a Fury.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
Name: Black Arrow
Age: presumed 15
Gender: Zoid exhibits Female personality
Race: Zoid – Lightning Saix
Affiliation: Wild
Distinctive markers: chromatic silver stripes where extreme speeds have stripped the outer coating of her body armor. Missing outer claw on the right forepaw.
Zoid: N/A
Overall appearance: 8.8 m tall, 18.4 m long, weighing 65 tons. Ash coloredbody armor with the silver “racing stripes” across the shoulders running back to back end and one extending from the nose to the tail, along with several stripes down the legs. Green eye pieces. No armament.
Personality:Black Arrow exhibits a personality consistent with a trouble maker, loving to mess with the combat situations in the tournaments held between zoid pilots, making her also more aggressive than most wilds though being able to clock 335km/hr allows her to escape most, if not all, ground based units in the tournaments. When not creating havoc for pilots, Black Arrow usually skulks around, trying to decide why so many zoids allow pilots in them and also getting into whatever mischief she can without getting caught.
Role:High speed combat

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
wow...I can't believe I forgot to drop that bit in there...or that you're actually telling me you might have to assign me a different one over such a small mistake -_- you seriously went there? What the hell man, it was seriously a simple mistake...and quite easily fixed...
Zoid type: Military Hardware
Description: zoid design is based loosely on a panther styled creature, where instead of heavy plating all across the body(ie; wide plates around the neck common to the lion and liger units) the fanged rose has segmented armor across it's body for added flexibility and movement (ie; think of the way batman's suit was in the dark knight compared to batman begins. He wanted to be able to turn his head, so the plating was segmented and hardened, but left spaces between for added mobility). All three of the CAS systems incorporate this in their design, the breaker having a bit more spacing, and the panzer having less of additional protection.
And it's not a matter of yer zoid being banned or not, I can see clearly that it's not, I'm talking about how you gave it just crazy amounts of berserker abilities and power with only trivial drawbacks...that fact that you chose berserk fury to begin with was already a lot of power, then you just continued piling more powers on top of it...it feels very unbalanced, and quite a bit too powerful for something showing up playerside, in the GMs hands, at the beginning of the rp...but that might just be me...

I am considering making a zoid. Last time I participated in an rp like this I made a pilot and in another case made a pilot and a zoid to go with it. But this time I'd just like to be a zoid. Maybe wild to start with and is paired with a pilot through the plot. Is there some one I could chat with in pm's or messengers to help me develop it? I've been away from the series a good while and could easily fill up several posts in the thread with questions and the over all brain storming.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
That seems mostly OK, Shade, but to reach such speeds "she" would have to have her backpack, which includes a pair of beam cannons, so initially she either will have them but be unable to access them, or not have the backpack at all, and drop the speed down significantly.
Buzzwolf: Ah, a good Zoid.
My character doesn't like Evolting; he's still completely new to even being a Zian, and doesn't actually know how to use it properly yet. Any actual Evolting will be accidental or when the group is in serious trouble.

...I really don't care about the EVOLT thing...I'm not even sure why you keep getting stuck on it considering I haven't said a word about it...it's all the tricks and extras you've added to each of the three frames, and the ability to change zoids entirely, not to mention the ridiculous melee sets, the absorbent plating AND that you have little minions you can control as well, not to mention how your character seems to remember more about his past than most zians, even though the character thing said they wouldn't....
I'm honestly just very wary of your choices here arratra, you're known for overpowering your selection and it's just making me a bit ancy that you're doing it as a gm as well, I just hope theres gonna be a bit more to it than just trashing other zoids in combat scenarios...

NPCs are usually free reign for the player to create reactions, which is what the Blade Ligers are and what you just did was screw one of your players out of their post! You not only undermined everything he did, you blatantly accused him of doing something he didn't do.
Strike One Arratra.
Second, all I can say is WTF?! You're TELLING me what I'M going to have Black Arrow do? Excuse me, but that's abusing the power of the GM! I'm drawing the line right here Arratra: YOU WILL NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO WITH MY CHARACTER! Asking me to do something that accelerates the plot of the story is one thing, ORDERING me to make my character do something that her personality doesn't allow is another. She is NOT going to combine with any zoid. It's not her personality and you DO NOT have the right to tell ME what to do with MY character...
Strike Two Arratra.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
I gotta agree man, what the HELL was that?!?! You call bringing in what equates to faceless npcs god modding?! It's called creative writing ya twat, and not something just the gm uses to write descriptively. Everything you just did undermined and destroyed everything I just lined up, nothing about it being godded or over done, actually making it have a more real feel than playing my character off as being so powerful that she's the ONLY one that would be deployed in the event rebels would've been there. The rose can't even keep up with them as per my character sheet, unlike you comment about how your character 'doesn't like going to gariyuki' yet you literally pull all the stops right off the bat and say I god modded by playing puppet master to give the post some depth!
And I'm in total agreement with shade on your tellin us what we WILL do with our characters, asking an event to be played out is one thing, but telling us we WILL make changed to our approved characters is beyond acceptable. If its suiting to the rose when it comes around, then I'LL make the call if I want the fury unit attached, not because you're telling me it is what I WILL do.
I was wary of you modding from the beginning, you went ber off the bat, said you weren't gonna use your super form much, only to use it off the bat, call me god modder, then trash a perfect sequence by literally god modding yourself leaving shades character no where to go by coming out of nowhere in a chase sequence, after mind controlling a mini zoid thing, and. I, I really don't care what it's called! You are on ice so fucking thin righ now it's not even funny.
I can't WAIT to hear the explanation on this one, you've got two players sitting on the edge of leaving, tread carefully.

Meep! Lets not fall apart before I can even get my character made ^ ^; I'm excited to play.
The brain storming is going well I think.

Buzz, I did not say what Black Arrow actually did, just the NPCs Shade made... All right, sorry guys, I'll be more careful in the future...
I'm going to go and re-write the post... just don't expect a masterpiece. I feel like ...
It is done. No new post notice, though; I used the Edit feature for convenience.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
I plan on being a zoid so far. Will there be a player willing to take up an eventual pilot role after the initial 'wild' phase of my characters plot? Seems there is more than enough zoids in play, but it's what I want most. Making my own pilot would be no fun for me.
Thinking I would have to come in a bit later too. What I have in mind would not work out well, blundering into a chase :p Gives me more time to work out mah character's situation at least.

Now, that previous note about Fuzors still stands; please don't bring in Zoids that can potentially fuse with your own
Also, Shade, WTF?! I didn't say anything about Backdraft!
Arratra, you have to understand something, when you open with an intro like you did, you literally left us no where to jump in without it being totally noobish, and neither myself nor shade are new to the RP game, we know how to use NPCs temporarily to create a level of depth to our posting. Again, we're not new to this, don't treat us as so.
and I'm half sure you were refering to me with the bit about the added NPCs, and the bit about backdraft. the bit about backdraft was designed to be open ended, picked up, or dropped on the spot. it was designed as such. it was making it a little more than 'faceless rebels' that the guardian force might have been deployed for, it added a layer of depth and a throw away excuse for being there. I'm also not so arrogant that i designed my zoid in such a way that it can operate alone in ANY circumstance, hence why there were two blade ligers with her, speed, and power without making it goded
I still got some little gripes about youre posting (Bits and pieces of how you're using all your tricks and shit right off the bat) but it's livable...
Look, frankly put Arratra, you have the respect as GM, but we're not simply puppets in this RP, we know the stops and how to play them, don't tie our hands from making this a successful RP by playing dictator GM
::As for my latest post, I wasn't sure how to proceed since you're GM and kinda not leading...so I'm just having them head back to command, and do...something...till something actually happens storywise...::

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
I am kinda lost plot wise. Been reading it over to get a feel for things and find I just loose touch more. So theirs a flash back, a battle that gets interrupted, and a chase that is given up on. At least that's what I retained so far. What mite be some stuff that will happen in the future? ANy one have some goals? Knowing them would help me develop my own.

Re: Zoids: Awakening (Interest check)
What's been going on wolfy, is arratra made an intro post showing off his super weapons power, then bugging out by himself and leaving nowhere for my self or shade to enter without a total noob post, so we improvised. He played with the games as a feral, and I chased him down thinking him a rebel at first. The end of the chase was actually at shades request, he wanted to connect more on curiosity than with capture, I the blade Ligers ran into the diversion and the ion boosts threw off the sensors, and it was over with a narrowly missed shot.
Arratra, I gotta point something out about your latest post, the bit with command saying you were 'authorized' for the hunt. Axel neither requested knowledge if he was supposed to be there, nor did she report 'she got away'. Your gairyuki was off by itself between command from what I got from your post, why would it suddenly have authorization to join some random squad in a chase? Granted you ended up playing the 'partners' card, but the whole first part of it just doesn't make any sense...
And wolfy, sorry I haven't gotten back to you just yet, I haven't had access to my laptop to do a proper look over and response ^^;
