Re: World of Zi (RP)
((Apologies on that one mate, PCSing duty stations had me kinda busy over the last week, back to buisness as usual here pretty quick I hope))
"Sorry kiddo, ain't your pilot" the black wolf crossed her arms, still amazed she could understand these beasts now as if simply talking to another mech. Her metal fingers clicked lightly as she tapped them against her arm in thought "The Medical staff are still taking a look at the pilot you brought in, Amilia as you call her, and trying to figure out what's been done to her." she held up a hand and clicked her metallic fingers together "As well as a few as it seems"
She'd had a full blown conversation with her own Rose just a few minutes prior and it was still blowing her mind that this was happening. her hands were metal up to her elbows, and there was no telling how deep it went beyond that.
"Now, if you're done destroying my docks," she glanced at the trashed oil tank "Open up, I need to run some diagnostics on your systems to make sure the blast didn't wreck 'em" she gestured with her hand for him to open the cockpit hatch.
God...she was talking to a zoid and asking it permission to climb around in it's head.
______
A small group of medical staff came hurrying along the upper walks of the dock to the unknown zoid. The pilot on it's nose had all their attention at the moment, even as they clambered over the beast of a zoid.
A system was pulled together and the husky was eased onto a stretcher, an IV and monitoring system already hooked up to his vitals.
Each of the medical team moved about with practiced ease, removing the pilot from the nose of the zoid in moments and getting clear.
Three of the men in white immediately backed off, letting another set take their place on the stretchers to haul the pilot away, simply muscle to help get work done, and letting the pros do their work when it came down to it. the three chatted amongst each other a few moments in the catwalks as they waited hte next task needing their hand in help before darting off, only to have one of the EMT's stop in his tracks and tap the comm at the side of his helmet. They'd forgotten to get the event logs from the zoid for pass off and analysis.
Needing the event logs, the man in white headed back, and up over the bridge to the newest zoids nose, immediately recognising it as not being one of theirs, or at least not one that had seen any type of service recently. A pecular thing though, the EMT found, was that there appeared to be no seal along the outside of the head to allow entrance to the cockpit.
He scratched his head out of habit, getting a sound roughly that of plastic on steel in return "...where in the hell's your hatch?" he asked himself more than the zoid
______
Amilia looked around groggily as a man in a full white jacket helped her sit up on the exam bed. she had an IV attached to her hand and what had remained of her pilots suit had been removed and replaced with a loose fitting set of scrubs for examination of her 'condition'
She wrapped her arms around her legs as she pulled her knees to her chest, setting her chin on her knees. the whole thing was a lot for her to take in.
She eeped! and stared wide eyed as another pilot was hurried into the set up stall beside her, medical staff hurrying to the aid of a husky wearing the uniform of the recovery teams for the area, the medical staff calling out commands and requests quickly and the team responding timely and effeciently as they quickly worked to stabilize the husky's condition
The whole events of the day started to overwhelm her, the blast, the destruction, loosing Sara, her metal limbs and now what sounded like a dying rescue worker in the stall beside hers. it was all too much for the young vixen and she buried her face in her arms as soft sobs began to rack her body.

Re: World of Zi (RP)
Thunderhead's tail slapping against the floor behind me as he brought his nose close to wolf addressing him, "IS my pilot." he snorted at her before transferring a large packet of data to the closest available terminal, listing off his orders of having to wait until a pilot was selected, then the list of candidates, all of which had been on station in the testing range, and finally, video footage of the carnage he had left behind. With a triumphant snort, the rex let his hatch open, permitting her inside his head.
Tuning out, as per his custom, Thunderhead took the liberty of listening in on the radio chatter, but a feeling was boiling in his gut. Inside his head, it started as a small blip on one of the screens, but as the zoid focused, the blip began to grow as he narrowed the source down. Shifting from foot to foot uneasily, he wondered why he felt so... broken... somewhere in the back of his head.
An unheard 'eep!' echoed across his systems and the zoid's head shot up, eyes flaring to life and cockpit snapping shut, trapping the wolfess inside his head as he pulled free of the dock, letting out a roar as he shoved the docking bay door out of his way, his feet thumping heavily against the ground as he circled the building, following the overwhelming feeling in his gut. He barely registered his throttle being yanked back, trying to make him stop, but he simply shook his head, dislodging the annoyance, and continued circling until he found what he was looking for.
The windows of the med-bay greeted him as he started peering through them, trying to find Amilia...

A steady dripping sound tingled against Sam's inner ear, rousing him from the coma-like state he was in. He tasted blood in his mouth and the taste grew stronger the further out of the coma he came. Residual pain splashed across his body and he let out a groan. A voice immediately rang out in response.
"My god, I think he's coming around!"
The husky opened his eyes, closing them just as rapidly as the overhead light blinded him, "Gaaaaahhhh! Freakin light!" he scowled before shading his eyes to allow them to adjust more slowly. Shapes began to make themselves known, a few clustered around him, bent over him. Their worried expressions came into detail soon after as the husky blinked.
Confused and disorientated, the husky moved to sit up only to have three hands gently but firmly push him back down. Irritated, Sam batted at their hands, "Damn it, I'm okay, just a little lost. Where am I? What happened to the zoid Vick and I brought in?"

Re: World of Zi (RP)
The zoid watched pensively as his husky was stabilized and then moved far out of site. The time he spent standing there being concerned, he also spent finding his pilot's last name and alias. Such simple information was unguarded and easy to find. Samuel "Quickdraw" Corrington it was. The worker returning to the bridge entertained him mildly. Keeping his eyes uniform and placid, the zoid gave no indication of acknowledging the man in white, who did not seem to be actually talking to him any way.
With the information he gathered on his husky, the zoid created a sort of key input message to be delivered to any one that made any real effort to interact with him. Samuel was not a registered pilot so he would not have the hard disk that each pilot inserted into their dash, a tool introduced during the creation of moderated zoid battles now used to regulate the use of all zoids. This zoid would require being registered to 'Samuel Corrington' and only those permitted by him would have a chance at entering him. Having his hatch hidden in his mouth empowered him to be very 'selective'.
Future attempts to contact him via radio, text, or similar would receive: "Registration Key Deck of, Samuel Corrington, required for further interaction."
For that, the mutated husky was going to have to be made into a pilot and the longer it took, the longer any one wanting the zoid to cooperate would have to wait. Silently, he willed his pilot to recover and for the powers that be to return the husky to him, standing still and cold in the docks, waiting to be filled with the presence of his pilot that he was so close to having just before now. The feeling was faint, but some how he could still feel Samuel with in the facility, but it was just a teasing taste of what he hungered for.

Unknown location, time, and date:
“They have been selected by the entity. It’s time for their ascension…” A voice was speaking, “Hmm, it’s a rather abnormal group of three the entity has picked, but no matter. Bring them here…”
---
Present time:
As Sam was coming to, he would feel a presence in the back of his mind, not like before, this was different. This presence felt far older, far deeper, and far more alien than anything he had ever felt. As he became more aware of this aura if you will he could feel its hunger, its lust for power, its desire to consume all. He could feel it surround him, “Hello my son…” The voice spoke; he could feel its presence all over his body, it was cold, and sticky, welcoming yet smothering. The voice was pleasant, but he could tell that voice was a mere cover for barely restrained hate, lust, and anger.
“Your Zoid looks interesting…” He could feel the presence shift in a direction he could only assume was the direction of the Zoid he has came back with…
“Heh, not much to work with, but we can do a lot with that…” It was now that he released that the presence was rather feminine.
When the presence that hovered over Sam looked down at his Zoid, it feels like it watched by something, what it was, it couldn’t place though…
--
As Amilia sobbed, she would feel as if she was surrounded by a warm presence, it was comforting, loving, and warm. “At ease my child, why must you cry?” This aura, similar to the one that surrounded Sam, but unlike sam’s which was undoubtly evil, this presence was far kinder. She could feel it’s loving and caring for not just her, but things around her, and other people. She could feel it all around her, warm, silky, and soft; it’s just hugged her trying to comfort her. If she looked in sam's direction she would see a midnight black aura around him, she could feel the evil coming off it in waves in all directions...
"That poor guy, he was chosen by Tiamat..."
--
Axel would hear a voice fill her mind as the cockpit was slammed shut. “Well shit, good luck getting out of this one…” The voice was masculine “Is it just me or is this Zoid a little unstable in the mainframe?” Where the voice was coming from she couldn’t tell but she became aware of a presence surrounding her. It was an odd feeling; she could sense the intelligence behind the presence, like a vast wealth of information sitting just beyond her reach and nothing she could do to reach it at the moment. The feeling that surrounded her was a sense of calmness, soft yet firm.
But what she would notice most of all was how aware she became of the surrounding electronics in the cockpit, she didn’t just know where they were, they where an extension of her, she was aware of how intimately connected everything was to each other in the Zoid….

Marxon closed the link to his parents, and slowly stood, making his way to Draco. Marxon climbed up to the cockpit, and ran his fingers over the controls. The Zoid woke up in response, and before it could move, Marxon hopped down. The Drakus turned its head to look at his quizically, then spotted the blades.
<Marxon, what-?>
"I have cancer, my friend," Marxon said sadly, "I have a few months at most."
<No... NO!> the Drakus threw back its head and screamed; a long, pain-filled shriek.
"Achieve our dream, my friend," Marxon said quietly, "Join the Guardian Force. Find yourself a worthy pilot. This... is where we part. I'm... I'm sorry. I... here. My gauntlets. To remember me by."
Marxon reached out and placed the clawed and bladed gauntlets into a storage space in the cockpit when Draco lowered his head to give access.
"Good luck," Marxon said quietly, as Draco closed his cockpit.
If a Zoid could have cried, Draco would have been.
<Goodbye, my friend,> the Drakus rumbled quietly, before slowly backing out of the hangar and trudging away.
"I'm sorry," Marxon said quietly, a tear running down his cheek.

"Hey hey!" Leah immediately latched onto the controls as the beast of a zoid bolted from the dock "easy boy! you got a passenger in here! Easy!" Only to have the zoid try to shake her free "Watch it would ya!?" She growled in annoyance, simply clinging to the control when she found she was simply along for the ride at this point.
She chuckled to herself as the voice agreed with her "Yeah, tell me about it...completely--" she stopped, looking around suddenly for the owner "Oh come on! you gotta be kidding me!" she groaned and faceplanted the control panels in annoyance
______
Amilia sobbed softly into her arms, believing the presence to be one of the nurses come to sooth her "I know..." she sobs out "it's silly...but...I can't help it..." She slowly lifts her head as she looks around for the owner of the voice, more curiously as she finds no one at her bedside and the voice directs her attention to the husky that had just been brought in, suddenly pulling the sheets up to her neck as she sees the dark aura floating around "What...what's wrong with him?!" she asks, less concerned about who or where the voice is coming from than the dark aura around the husky .
______
The med tech scratches his head curiously, none of the readouts were making any sense to him, of course, being a med tech as opposed to a mechanical tech didn't help him much, but the little he did make out was that the zoid was telling him the recovery personnel that had just been removed was marked as being the zoids 'operator'.
how? he had no idea. the zoid was an unknown make and was using old pilot authorization systems. by what he could tell, and without knowing how to even get in, he needed the supposed pilot.
He sighed and held his hands up in defeat, taking down a few notes before taking off for the ECU to find the pilot, passing the message off to one of the emergency staff working with the patients
One of the nurses nods and looks over at Sam as he starts asking about the zoid "Ah, good! you are awake!" she walks over, checking the monitors out of habit before addressing the huskies question "You're zoid is doing fine, that pilot that brought him in is one helluva a pilot" she chuckles "But we're having some trouble accessing the zoids mainframe...it's ah...named you, as it's pilot, and won't allow anyone else in" she handed the husky the card with the scribbled down message

Re: World of Zi (RP)
Thunderhead mildly registered his current passenger talking as he continued to look for Amilia, startling medical staff and patients alike. He gave a frustrated growl and was about to move to looking in the third floor windows when his passenger banged her head against a few key controls and, with a startled yelp, Thunderhead fell to his knees, nearly banging his head off the ground and creating a soft quake in the building.
Shaking his head irritably, Thunderhead prepared to rant at the mechanic when his eyes focused through a set of windows on the second floor, spotting Amilia. A triumphant noise escaped the zoid's throat as he arched his neck and gently tapped the glass with his tongue, trying to get her attention...
_______
Sam shivered as he felt the strange presence smother him. It was unlike anything he'd ever felt before, but at the moment, he was willing to chalk it up to radiation sickness... until the nurse spoke to him like there had been only silence. He looked around in confusion, noting that none of the staff around him were close enough to be the owner of the voice.
Great, first I have a hefty skin burn, now I'm hearing things. He blinked up at the nurse as she told him about the zoid Vick and he had brought in, "It named ME as its pilot? I don't even have a license! There's gotta be a mistake, let me see that!" He reached out to take the message, then froze, arm extended and eyes as wide as they'd go.
His fur... all of it... it was... different. His other hand shot up, running through the course, metallic threads, "Wh-what the... what the..." his heartbeat began to sky-rocket as panic overtook him and he jumped back on the bed, as if trying to get away from the strange fur, "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY FUR!? WHAT IS THIS!?" Frantically, the terrified husky grabbed at the fur, trying to pull it out despite the intense pain it caused only to be jumped by every member of the staff as they tried to hold him down and get the bed restraints on him...

Re: World of Zi (RP)
The zoid moved it's head away from the dock once the man was safely away, making sure not to bump the bridge. His systems were running a bit high from bring so anxious and he parted his jaws just a tad to keep them from grating. All he could do now was wait. In any other case, waiting would be his strong suit. There was allot of that in his past. But with the safety of his pilot outside his care he was beside himself.
After a moment he feels a presence looking upon him. It was sensed most by his organic side. This made it more of a curiosity than a machine specific method of communication. Artificial signals can be blocked out but the organic presence was a bit more difficult to ignore. The zoids head tilted side to side as his sensors searched about the room, them being all over his body as well as in his head, he did not really have to turn his face to where he was looking.
With nothing being picked up by his equipment, and his more organic side not having anything in the way of meditative training, he huffed and occupied himself with a personal systems check. He had not run a full check on him self since waking with all the events that followed. He was already uneasy with his surroundings and concerned for his pilot. Last thing he needed was further uncertainty. The system check kept him level.
He found that that everything checked out ok for the most part. The long slumber was very good for him. How ever his hologram and other pilot interface systems were out of tune. He tested his control over the seat and it's straps and various sections of the console. His inside was in need of dusting and his mouth needed washing. One may not usually think of it, but for this zoid his mouth was the welcome mat for the most important person in his life and as such it had to be clean.
To further stretch and flex his more intricate functions, he adjusted the tightness of the seat harness and adjusted the seat to match what measurements he got from Sam's body while the husky was still on his nose. He had much more time than what was required to examine Samuel during their flight, and he planed to use this information to prepare for his return. As much as he could any way. He needed fresh water for the small tank that fed the bite tipped straw for example.

As he looked down he would notice that the metal. "Ah, I see you have noticed your changes, I will explain in detail later but for the moment just be aware that you have been transformed into a vessel for me my son… In time you will accept your new form. Because you don’t have a choice in the matter!" The voice cackled madly in his head for a moment before getting a hold of herself. "Now claim your Zoid, it's rightfully yours, you found it."
Around him the world changed somewhat, not visibly but something was new looking around he could see the imperfections of forms and stances, where a person was weak, how to strike someone for maximum effect. Information that could be helpful for combat…
xxx
“What?” The voice in Axel’s head sounded amused, “Let me guess you feel like you’re going crazy because there is a voice in your head? Well you are…” The voice was deadpan and flat dripping with sarcasm. “Get your head strait, I have issues with having a vessel that is clinically insane, while they are easy to manipulate but no good for conversation. Besides, you can now say there are voices in your head and know you’re not crazy! Wait…” The voice seemed like it was musing over what it said, thinking about it the voice sounded like it was just joking around. It seemed like it was in good mood. “Anyway you might want to get out of this thing’s head he seems to have calmed down but who the fuck knows for how long. I would recommend on getting out of here...”
If Axel was to look at the video feeds she would see there was a bright teal aura around Amilia. “I see Tartarus has found a vessel no doubt annoying her with his fatherly bullshit...” Thunderhead would being seeing something different though to him he would see what looked like a small but long tailed mini lizard Zoid had wrapped itself around her entire body. It looked strangely like an organioid…
xxx
“Take it easy, there is nothing wrong with him at the moment.” The voice sounded calm, if a bit concerned. “He is merely Tiamat’s vessel, though that might a bit terrifying to him.” He said it seemed like the lizard was less concerned about that. “It seems though, that your Zoid is trying to get your attention.” She would feel the presence try point her towards the window that thunder head was looking through. She would see a faint green glow from the cockpit. “Well I see that Astarte found a vessel as well, no doubt already annoying him or her.”

Re: World of Zi (RP)
Marxon had made his way into the infirmary, and was now sitting on the edge of his bed, wondering what to do. His parents knew, his Zoid knew... The only ones who didn't know was the Zoids Battle Commision, and they'd find out soon anyway.
A second dragon was only a few kilometres away, grumbling into the rebreather of his containment suit. Once again, he'd been shunted "out of the way", to a smaller relief centre just because of his age. It wasn't that he didn't have the credentials; after all, his mentor back home had sent him off with a letter of recommendation; but his age, and likely his race as well. It's not like he could help being a dragon with bird's wings; he'd had the things all his life, and he'd never seen them stained with oil, even that one time someone had pranked him by dumping a load of used oil all over him.
Lance whined something, and Kimrith wished once again that he could understand his Zoid, especially given all the trouble he'd been given over piloting the old Zoid. It wasn't the Houndsoldier's fault he'd been stripped of his ranged weaponry, and Kimrith wasn't allowed to mount weapons on it, meaning the Power Connector Port wasn't all that much use, given that the only thing he could mount there was the "Gyrocrafter", and he was pretty sure that part wasn't compatible with his Zoid anyway.
"We're nearly there, Lance," Kimrith reassured his Zoid, as the Houndsoldier in question swerved around the rocks and came into view of the makeshift aid station.
"-Awroo?-"
Kimrith shook his head slightly, and pulled back gently on the controls. Lance slowed and came to a halt in front of the hangar doors.
"-Bar-bark-" the Houndsoldier voiced, announcing their presence.

Re: World of Zi (RP)
With no one boarding him at this time, and the docks being needed for other incoming zoids and ships, the unknown zoid was issued a request to relocate to a holding bay. After a moments hesitation, the zoid confirmed and cautiously moved forward to free up the space, just to take up space some where else. After turning about, the Zoid backed himself into one of the bays and slowly laid himself down with a stressed yawn. His head rested on the floor with a metallic huff and he curled his many sectioned tail beside himself. There was not many motions of an organic animal that he could not do, with extra control over his tail when ever there was no weapon installed into it, such as now. His horns how ever stayed at a higher angle, rather than flattening the rest of the way against his neck, still alert and anxious for the arrival of his long desired pilot. Idly, he went over scenarios near and far to work out ways to bring what wishes the husky may have to bare.
While the black and white zoid rested, a young man leaned over a scaffold in his bay to look down on the camo masked head that rested below. This equine canine worker was on one of his fifteen minute breaks and was resting his feet on the said cat walk when the still unidentified Zoid entered. The tag on his grimy and wrinkled jumpsuit read "Tike" and he had been on his hooves most the day. He was conversing with a couple members of staff but they had left during the new zoid's entry leaving the younger one there to marvel over the zoid. "Well, lookie there. You're different like me." he mused.
When the Zoid paid the overhead hybrid no mind, Tike walked along the guard rail a ways and started down a series of stairs. Able to get a closer look after a while, the worker peered, "Gun mounts, but no guns. Lil banged up. Wonder why." he concluded after looking down at some moving persons and the sound of anchors. Seemed the new zoid was not going to receive much in the way of free reign, just like any other, it was being locked into the bay until it could be claimed and Tike guessed the zoid had been watched closely when it walked over and parked it's self. Though it did not seem new to such a routine.
With the anchors in place and the crews tending the process now vacant, the Zoid raised its head and focused its glowing eyes into mere glowing slits that trained on the anthro above it, making Tike gasp and step away from the rail. With an increased heart rate, the black and white furred male tried to steady himself while fumbling for his phone that started vibrating. All the phone had to offer was a text from one of his pack mates back home, speaking of dinner plans. After responding with, "Meat balls are good, can you add some baby carrots? :3", Tike returned his gaze to the zoid to find it resting its head on the floor as before, eyes placid with a flat pink glow once more filling it's 'eyes'.
The mysterious beast machine gave no further motions, and Tike left the platform to resume his duties. Though the return of the no name zoid's precious pilot would never be soon enough for him, especially when he some how sensed the husky was in distress, 'I must shield him.' he thought, his strong desire to contain Samuel starting to nudge at the huskies thoughts through the new link, manifesting into, 'I would be safe with him.'
Though how safe, is safe? What would come of the modification to Sam's body, and how would it effect his self and his zoid? It was a part of him now, and would continue to be a part of him once inside the zoid. What ever the case, Sam would have a faithful zoid, devoted to his well fare.
[yay for filler. Man i need allot more practice <.< looking forward to your guy's posts with great anticipation ^ ^]

Amilia giggles as she looked up at the Rex zoid looking through the window, and gave him a cheerful wave "Hi thunderhead!" she let out another soft eep! as the husky flipped out and was tackled by the medical staff and restrained "...I think I'm ready to go now..." she squeaked out into the pillow hugged to her chest
______
Axel rolled her eyes "Oh good, we wouldn't want to have you getting bored with me now would we..." she keyed her fingers over the controls with practiced ease, "But I do have to agree with you, Dinozoid here is a total mess over his pilot" She chuckled, it wasn't often that you saw that kinda devotion between zoid and pilot, let alone this early in their connection. A simple backdoor command had an override in place and the zoid lowering his head and popping the hatch for her.
She climbed out and set a hand on the controls as she slid free, returning control to the zoid once she was clear. she landed on her feet and turned to face the zoid, tapping a metal finger on it's nose "you, are obviously fine for the moment, mechanically of course. when you're done checking on your little pilot, get back to the hanger. I need to link your systems to the stations for a core download, find out what went down out there." at that point she turned and strode away "I, however, have other things to be doing than playing babysitter for a juvinile zoid.
"Now," she spoke once she's slipped through the side doors and started down the corridors toward the hanger "Since we seem to be stuck with each other for the time being, how about a name for this disembodied voice in my head?"
______
"You have to relax!" A desert colored female wolf in scrubs shouted at the husky, her entire medical team struggling to hold the patient down as they worked the leather cuffs around his wrists and ankles "We can't figure out what's happening to you if you don't calm down!"
As the cuffs were secured and tightened enough to keep the patient from hurting himself, the team backed off one by one as the restraints took the blunt of the struggling, leaving only the wolf pressing on his chest enough to keep him from bouncing and tipping the bed. She huffed and brushed a lock of dark hair back out of her face "Now, are you gonna work with me here? you're holding up our figuring out what's wrong with you, and" she pointed at the messenger "You're holding up the mechs figuring out what's going on and why an unknown zoid seems to have named you it's pilot." She slowly released the pressure and stood beside the bed with her arms crossed "You ready to grow a pair? Or are you gonna keep acting like my three year old son when it's bathtime?"
______
The pair of stark white ligers in the hanger turned at the sound of a new zoid, the pair of stun cannons mounted to their shoulders pivoting to find their target as the zoids scanned the new zoid
After a few moments stare down with the new zoid, the pair of ligers looked to each other, and the cannons powered down, folding back and away into their cases on the back of the ligers.
Two screens would pop up on the New zoids display for the dragon to see, a pair of small, nearly identical foxes sitting in the cockpits of the ligers, a badge on their covers marking them as 'Volt' and 'D.C.'. The fox marked as 'Volt' tapped a pair of goggles in an odd form of a greeting before he spoke "Names Volt, we're kinda busy dealing with refugees at the moment mate, make it quick a'right? what can we do for ya?"

Re: World of Zi (RP)
Thunderhead barely registered the mechanic in his head taking over long enough to get out and give him orders as he brought his head up back to the window, cockpit still open, giving the zoid a comical look, but what came out of his metal throat was far from comical. It built slowly as a soft his as the zoid parted his jaws ever so slightly to bare his teeth. The hiss deepened, becoming a low rumble that continued to build until a blood-freezing growl invaded the air in the small room. The cockpit finally closed, adding a ferocious appearance to go with the death-tolling rumble. Thrusting his head forward, Thunderhead locked eyes with the miniature little cretin coiled around his pilot and three words rocked through the growl...
"Off...my...pilot..."

Froth started to bubble on the edge of Sam's mouth as he struggled, equally frightened and irritated by the assault of voices, one of which seemed to have no source at all but his head. As the restraints were slipped into place, Sam felt a feeling of being absolutely helpless, like he was exposed to all the world to torment and screw with... he wanted out, he wanted the feeling to go away. The shear panic of it made him all the more aware that everyone around him had a sense of... weakness. The wolf holding him down... the way she held her arm... each joint stood out to him in ways that he felt that he could snap her arm. It made him sick and he nearly heaved, turning away.
He saw the restraint on his left wrist next. It was made to withstand violent tantrums, but as he looked at it... he saw that relaxing a little... he could... but where would he go? He was out in the open. Sam closed his eyes, a sense of doom settling over him... until an image of the zoid he'd brought in flashed before his eyes... to be encased in that heavy armor... he'd be safe! Sam looked up at the wolf, relaxing slightly and waited. The wolfess, obviously pleased, turned away to grab something and Sam made his move. Taking a deep breath, Sam practically did a sit up. The dull sound of metal slicing through leather rang out and Sam yelped as the restraints gave way easier than he had predicted, drawing the attention of the medical staff, but he was already up and running like hell, shoving people out of his way in a panic.
Voices called out after him, but Sam kept running, instinct driving him toward the sense of security in the back of his mind that lead him into the loading docks. Sam gave out a howl of triumph as he caught sight of the very unique zoid, rushing over at top speed...

Re: World of Zi (RP)
Marxon happened to be in Sam's way, and got shoved to the floor, letting out a howl of pain before blacking out completely as the metalic blades on his shins jarred against the floor. Instantly, some of medics who had been chasing after Sam changed direction and turned the cancer-inflicted dragon onto his side, one of them swearing viciously under his breath.
"The name's Kimrith Drakar," the navy-haired dragon replied, "I'm a mechanic. I got transferred here from another relief centre."
"Wurf!" Lance decided to put in. Kimrith, well used to the old Zoid's quirks, just chuckled.
"Could you let me in?" Kimrith continued, "This environment suit is getting oncomfortable, especially around my wings."

Re: World of Zi (RP)
With eyes gone black, the masked zoid rested soundly. It had gone into a sleep mode after the full systems check to settle its self. Ghostly images passed through its sensors as it rested along with a sense of dread and disgust. Tilting his head side to side a couple times, the beast managed to clear his mind with a mild effort. This little slumber would not last for very long after it had started though as Will made his escape.
A howl carried by Samuel's voice roused the zoid's start up and his eyes flickered on to shine brightly of neon pink. Feeling the presence on Sam getting closer with an aura that was now in full swing and visible to him, the Zoid rumbled curiously. He had felt the presence since Sam became mutated but it was much weaker then and he had a notion that that mutation helped Sam some how, but he had no idea how it worked. All he had were the ghostly sensations he had of his pilots feelings while he was away.
Rather than getting up to meet Samuel half way and risking getting himself forcibly shut down by the enforcers present in the docks, the zoid just kept his head on the floor and dropped his jaw. His tongue spilled forward like a loading ramp and guide lights on either side of his 'teeth' lit up to greet Sam. All the zoid could then do was wait. As soon as the husky made it over the tongue, the jaws would snap shut with a condemning clang and the zoid would reveal his secrete hatch to his new pilot. All Samuel had to do wash push himself physically to reach the zoid and then psychologically to over come any fear and doubt that mite tell him to steer clear of the inviting maw.
At least he could feel in his heart the Zoid wanted nothing but his safety right now.
