    Default Transmetropolitan

Midlothian, Level 30, 0730 local time

Time, time doesn’t mean a lot to those that live on the lower levels, below level 20, the level authority doesn’t bother with actually enforcing the day night cycle in any order, just when the “need” to conserve power is seen is seen by the officials. Most of the time the lights are on all the time, recently though the lights have be going off more regularly now thanks to the flooding of the homeless and the laid off that the level has been receiving lately. Crime has been rising but the corporate police merely look the other way unless non distributed corporate goods are somehow involved. Because of this level of black market activity on the level is far higher than most other levels that above them so much that level thirty is considered the start of the black zone, an area where corporate law enforcement stops and gang control of areas of Midlothian begins.

(This opening is short on purpose, its a just a mood setter, i'll make the actually opening post once you guys make your first posts. What your doing, and where you are, is up to you.)

Tyle looked over the many consoles and screens, handling most affairs with his omnitool and eye over lay while using the many screens mostly for their display. His job was not physically demanding but it was no less taxing on him. Keeping everything in working order was a strain on the mind and that pulled from the body. Fortunately, he was not working with poor equipment. SDI Kept the station well supplied, at least when it game to those required to tend their network systems and related. The exterior that surrounded the server and networking station had little to no cosmetic value and was over all a bit depressing for one with tastes as vibrant as his.

With a sway of his long and lusty tail, the hybrid raised a foot to pull at a strap around his other foots toe-less sock to make sure it was snug. The small amount of staff in the building was a near even balance of techs and security, which fortunately suffered little cabin fever. Each understood the importance of the others jobs there and were paid above levels worthy of complaint. Tyle's job kept him challenged with something new to trouble shoot or maximize, and that kept him almost as happy as being able to afford his body and meals.

The brightly colored hybrid disliked the end of work since life out of the work place was much slower with out enough of a social life to compensate. He just worked on his personal hoover craft when ever he could not find some one to talk and play with in one way or another. That was more often than not, his hoover craft was his company and that had to change.

Adrin tutted over his news slate as he sat on the tram, heading up through the levels. He was getting quite engaged in one particular article, holding his coffee unmoving and undrank in his other hand while he scrolled down to the closing paragraphs, where it was revealed that the brave security forces managed against all odds to apprehend the vicious, unfeeling, unpatriotic troublemakers, criminals, scum (That last one carefully only used in quotes from witnesses and was not, therefore, supposed to be taken as a comment by the columnist himself, who nevertheless felt it fitting enough to put in the headline). The punishment for these criminals was referenced in an off-hand line, followed by a very positive (albeit brief and more than a little vague) comment from none other than Dresden Cartwright, who it turned out, unsurprisingly, was in favour of the actions of the security forces, and was happy to see justice be done.
"Hear, hear" said Adrin aloud, gaining a sideways glance from the woman sat beside him. He smiled to her, "Anarchists, eh?", shook his head and chuckled. Looking up, he happened to see that the tram had stopped moving. He stood quickly and looked out of the window, noticing with shock that this was his stop. He quickly grabbed his bag and coat and shuffled to the door, which an operator held open for him."Thanks," said Adrin as he exited. "Can't believe I almost missed my stop. Imagine if I'd gone all the way up to level 20! That would have been embarrassing, eh?" He laughed. The tram operator rolled his eyes, nodded noncommittally, and closed the door.
Adrin rearranged his bag, coat, news slate and coffee into a more easily manageable bundle and headed at a brisk walk to his office. He noticed with a smile that the new slogans were up.
How do you know the boundaries of your imagination if you don’t push them?
His chest puffed out a little with pride as he saw that his design had been accepted, the version that made if you don't push them slightly bigger than the rest of the sentence. And to think, Somsan has wanted to place the stress on imagination. Adrin chuckled to himself again. Yes, this would provide some good conversation during lunch. He breathed the sweet Level 21 air deeply and gave a happy, musical sigh.
Today was going to be a good day.

Nathanial tapped his paw as he walked around his spacious kitchen that morning. He was really digging this light little body, clothes in this size were so much cheaper and he didn’t need to eat nearly as much. Perhaps after this vacation he could try another similarly sized body. He smield and nodded, pondering that. Maybe not quite as childish as this kindergarten aged tiger, but still in the same weight range. It’d sure make the transition easier, that time he had gone bear he had to eat nonstop to build up enough body mass for it.

He eats down his breakfast and then grabs his schoolbag and makes his way out the door. Maybe something rodenty, next. It’d be a good contrast to this predatory body, and he could look reasonably grown up when he went back to the workplace. Lucky for him, they tolerated this over usage of bodymod treatments at work.

He tail twitches as he makes his way down a deserted corridor. Hmm, would have to be something with a fluffy tail nonetheless. Skinny tails never really appealed to him, even as far back as when he was an otter he always felt bad for the other kids with small tails.

He plays some music on his personal wearable computer as he walks along!

Italy looked up at the sign hanging over her head, a small mechanical whirring coming from behind the red bangs as her optical implants adjusted.

How do you know the Boundries of your imagination, if you don't push them

Yup. This was the building alright.

Bodies brushed past the small fennec, her tall ears standing above the shoulders of the patrons around, even with her short height, the little tufts on the tips dancing about as she looked, her unique appearance vanishing into the crowd around her of all the uniques around.

She looked down at a display floating over her arm, a display only her implants could see. kept prying eyes from knowing what she was up to.

A shadow fell over her as a figure stepped up behind her "This the one?" the deep tenor of a voice came from behind her. she didn't need to look to know who it was. one of the mechs from her shop, A lithe tiger the shop knew as 'Gear' wearing a matching mechanics coveralls as her, the sleeves rolled past the elbows to show the rich oranges and blacks of his tiger heritage.

"Yeah, shame really" she crossed her arms as she tossed the idle chit chat back and forth "You don't see free thinkers like that much these days. Politics really suck sometimes don't they" The tiger simply nodded in response. it was sad really, everything was so controlled, so regulated, even in the lower levels like this, big business still had their grubby fingers in everything. but hey, competing business paid the bills.

And hell, who was she kidding, it kept life interesting.

"Alright alright, enough gawking...we got some chaos to create" The floating screen reappeared as she headed into the building, her uniform changing to the bleached white of the maintence crew as she slipped unquestioned into the building, her hair turning a deep auburn as the tiger following close behind, each carrying their dark satchels and pulling an approiate hat for the building from their bags, completing the disguise. even a set of ID cards proved their presence there should anyone have asked.

The hacking programs in the cards got them easy access to the maintence elevator, the tiger vanishing a few floors up while Italy rode the lift to the topmost floor, up where the big offices were. Corporate level. She strode right up to the secretaries desk and slapped her ID on it. The pink furred bunny immediately and visibly relaxed "Oh thank Gawd! he's been having trouble with his systems all morning! down the hall, the door on the very end, I'll buzz you in!" She jammed a thumb on a red comm button as she alerted a man by the name of 'Mr. White', Italy slipping her ID from the desk, finding the door already unlocked as she pushed the tall glass doors open.

"Finally." the Harsh voice came from behind the desk, the aged fur of the tabby shone in the glow of a blue screen of the computer monitor, a thin slip of smoke rising from the ashen ciggerette glowing faintly in the tabbys lips, a small pile of ash in a dish on the desk from multiple ciggerettes already burned through. "Do you realize, how long I've been waiting?!" He snarled at her "How much money you've just cost this company taking your sweet ass time?!" he slammed his paws on the desk as she simply walked up to one of the chairs and set her bag down and began to rifle through it without a word to the CEO, pissing him off even further "Are you even listening to me?! I can have you fired without even thinking about it! Listen to me damn--!" he stopped as the silencer of a pistol pressed against his nose "...What're you doing? who are you!?"

"Boss called," She thumbed the hammer back "You're fired" The trigger pulled and the barrel flashed as the small round buried its way through the tabbies skull and out the window behind with barely more than a *Snick*. The pistol was wiped down and slipped back into her jacket before the tabby had even slumped back into his chair "Piece of shit corporate types..." She slipped around behind the desk, putting a foot on the chair and shoving it out of the way, the tabby slumping over the arm as his brains drained onto the floor. her metallic tipped fingers dancing over the keyboard as she unlocked the system with a simple command.

She glanced over at the body of Mr. White, the stunned expression frozen on her face "Fitting" she remarked with a smirk, grabbing the back of the chair and dragging it around behind the desk lining him up with the large plate glass window. "And now, the piece de resistance" She put a foot of the chair and kicked, sending the chair rolling and crashing through the window, tumbling out into open air "heh, no covering that one up..." she stepped up to the window, looking down as the CEO went tumbling for the ground, the chair crashing into the street as the CEO was bent over one of the new signs attached to the building. She grimaced and laughed to herself as the blood splattered over the crowd from the impact. She smiled and ducked back inside as the frantic screams of the crowd below reached her ears, a microfiber rag produced from her bag went over anything and everything within arms reach before she left the room, running the cloth over anything and everything she'd touched on her way in.

"Is it fixed?!" the perky bunny behind the secretary desk leaned over to look at the short fennec

She paused and looked back at the CEO's office, a soft smile coursing her lips as she looked to the bunny again "Yeah, problems all taken care of. hey, listen, your boss dozed off while I was working on his computer, think you could make sure no one bothers him for a bit? poor guy looked like he could use the sleep of the dead." She smiled and nodded eagerly

"You're telling me! he's kept me up days on end!" she flopped back in her chair with a sigh as Italy headed for the elevator "I could use the rest myself" Italy laughed as she turned in the elevator to see the bunny with a pair of earbuds already tucked in her ears lost in her own world as the Fennecs disguise reset, the elevator doors closing just as her hair exploded to it's virbrent red once more and headed down, picking up the tiger a few floors from the bottom, his guise also already resetting as they made their exit.

"No trouble hacking the network I presume?" she spoke in low tones as she locked eyes on the doors in front of her, a show for the camera.

"None at all" he patted the satchel he carried over his shoulder "Got all the drives and then some" the tiger smirked as a realization slipped through his head. Italy was still smiling. "You tossed off a one-liner didn't you"

Her immaturity suddenly showing through as her grin lit up the small lift "Hell yeah I did! He was all, 'who the hell are you?' and I was all like, 'Boss called', Click, 'You're fired'" she rambled off as she reinacted the scene to the laughing tiger, seeming nothing but a couple coworkers leaving work in a good mood as the security rushed the elevator, heading up the moment they stepped off. a couple of 'confused' looks had them out the doors and vanishing among the crowd of gawkers around the crime scene.

Too bad about that new slogan, she thought to herself, glancing back at the body of the CEO bent over the new sign, hiding half of the word 'imagination' It's hard to come by creative minds like that

Adrin was whistling to himself as he stepped into his workroom, and delighted at seeing Somsan already at his station looking glummer than usual. He must have noticed the board with Adrin's design. He needn't have worried though, Adrin wasn't about to gloat. Hard work is its own reward, number 492, last used 62 days and 14 hours ago. Due for a rerun, in fact, since it had been a successful one. Raised morale by roughly four and a half percent.
Lost in his recollections for a moment, Adrin had walked right past Somsan and sat down automatically. He turned around.

"Don't worry Somsan," he said cheerfully "I'm sure they'll go with your design next."

Somsan looked round slowly and frowned.

    "What?"

"Don't be hard on yourself. They just went with the more inspirational design, that's all."

    There was an awkward silence.

"Oh," Somsan said after a while "The new slogans are up, are they?"

Adrin laughed and slapped his thigh slightly. Somsan was a joker at heart.

"Don't tell me you didn't notice? There's the new slogan vibrancy in the air, today. I passed some maintenance crew on the way here and you could just tell that they were rearing to go, really wanting to get on with their job, you know? Ah, if only everyone could be like them. Like us, I mean," Somsan, not listening, slumped onto his hand and reopened the game on his work console. Adrin turned his own on and checked for the first design of the day. "'Every level up is a level earned'. Hm, I like that. It's very... profound. Do you like it Somsan?"

Somsan grunted. The door opened then and Richard slipped through. He was a tall creature with dazzling blue scales, although due to his past of heavy body-modding, Adrin could never work out what species Richard had originally been. Word around the office, on dull days at least, was that every scale had been implanted by hand over several months, and each was in fact a small jewel. Adrin, who had to budget to make sure he had a good supply of coffee each month, couldn't quite believe that his peer had so much money to waste, although then again he was brilliant at his job. His successful design ratio was a colossal 1 out of 5, compared to Adrin's much more modest 1 of 12.

"'Every level up is a level earned', Richard," Adrin said happily, "Profound, do you think? I was telling Somsan I thought it was profound."

    Richard smiled.

"They went with your design then?"

"Oh. Well, I didn't mean... well, yes, although I didn't mean it to be that obvious," Adrin said, blushing rather heavily. Richard often had that effect on him. Adrin turned back to his screen as Richard set up, giving Somsan a friendly clap on the shoulder as he passed.

"Got any ideas?" Richard asked, then after a pause clarified "For the new slogan. Any design ideas?"

    Adrin lit up.

"Oh! Yes! I have one I thought of a moment ago actually. I've only just seen the slogan, but it came straight to me! The best ones usually do, you know!" He nodded to himself and his eyes turned blue as he began to project to himself the design in his mind. "Making use of the word 'levels'. Not keeping the lines in one row, that's the key. Yes, I really think it's going to be a good one. I can't wait to get it finished and send the first draft up to Mr White. This is going to blow his mind"

    0740 Midlothian local time

Midlothian, even for it all problems is a jewel of a world. A hub of economic activity and diversity the world was known as one of the richest in the galaxy but also the world with the largest wealth divide in galactic history. All these factors mixed on level twenty one more than most other levels. Levels 21 and 22 where known for being the most diverse on the planet. It was on these levels where the wealthy among the poor, the so called average citizen among the extravagant. Looking around a sample of everyone on the planet could be seen. On one street corner the Disciples of Midlothian where holding a street revival everyone within one hundred feet could hear them. The main preacher was a female black dragon, almost identical to their “goddess” that they where preaching about. There was singing and dancing in the street where they were, the devote mixed with the skeptical looking on.

Anyone looking around the street could see the normal citizens with unmodded genomes with the hard core Modders. Many Modders where easy to spot, with radical appearances differing from the norm they stuck out from the crowd. Looking down the street one could see a modder, with feathered wings on their back, but there main body looked like it belonged to a reptile of some sort with a head of a cat. The Chimeras as they were called where the most common of the Modders, only the modder themself and a select few know what their original species was. Next to the Chimera was a man, human looked in his late teens looking out of place among the crowd, not because he was human but his clothing was from an era long gone, not a soul took notice.

Back to the crowd, people that where completely nude walking among them, along with some in extravagant clothing, some made from holograms, other made from diamond, others more materials unknown to the common man…

During this average day few noticed the dead man falling on the sign that was largely ignored by the crowd. But what was noticed was all the screens in the street suddenly changing to a Feed Stream, along with those in the slogan center and the SDI sever building.

    Megalovania feed: 0741 local time

On feeds all over level twenty one a busty female husky in her late teens was on the screen.

“This is just in, the CEO of the advertising firm Icarus is reported to have died one minute ago from possible murder or attempted suicide cause has yet to be discovered what do you think Jacob?” The first reporter looked to her co-host; he was an otter in his mid twenties. Behind them a live feed of the sign that the CEO landed on was shown in the background though they seemed to pay little attention to it.

“It’s an interesting turn of developments, Sky Dragon Innovation has been trying to purchase the firm for the last three months, but has yet to make any head way because of the support of the other corporations backing Icarus but now with the CEO dead it’s been projected there stock will lose 20% of their value once the markets open at 0900. I think that we will see the firm change owner ship by midday.”

The Female nodded, “Interesting, we’ll see what happens; word through the wire is that SDI has prepared a statement for later today. We’ll back later today with more information and covering the press release.”

All screens across the level returned to whatever they were showing before the interruption. The crowds outside looked at the slogan sign there was no sign of shock through the majority of the crowd, they had been desensitized towards such violence, doubly so for those from far lower levels that where on 21. After about 30 seconds of interest the majority of the crowd went about their business, it would be another fifteen minutes before cleanup crews arrived on site to inspect and remove the CEO.

Icarus Slogan development room # 12

An otter whom looked like he was in early twenties was looking around after the news feed had been broadcast on the main screen in the room. “Ding dong the prick is dead.” He chuckled to himself before he looked to see the response. “Anyone here think this Firm will come under SDI management?” Michael said looking back at the others in the group, Michael came from an exceedingly rich family it showed on his preference for holographic clothing and extensive biocircuitry that could be seen glowing just under his fur.

Though even with his wealth he was in this job because he enjoyed it not really caring if his designs got much notice. Even though his acceptance rating was over 50% he made very very few signs as a result he had less signs in circulation than adrin. But his designs where extravagant and he was one of the few that could push through Black Sun slogans. It was rumored around the office that he was a Disciple of Midlothian, but Michael never seemed to pay attention.

The voice was one that was familiar to him; it was the buildings alpha intelligence. The Alpha intelligence was a rare thing on the lower levels. More expensive than most small starships, they where exceedingly rare below level 10, but SDI seemed to have a near limitless supply of the AI’s because every sever building on Midlothian had one in its systems.

When Tyle got to the sever room he would find that room was far hotter than normal as its climate control was malfunctioning. Along with that it seemed that the Severs themselves where not responding, he was going to have manually reset and reinstall all software on these severs.

Adrin had watched the whole report horrified, his mouth falling open slackly. Somsan, half way through the broadcast, stopped paying attention. Richard watched the whole thing impassively. Not that Adrin noticed either of these reactions. He was shaking his head slowly when Michael entered.

"Mr White is dead?" Adrin whispered to himself. "How can he be... I mean, dead?" He spun around to look at the others "Murdered! How can that even happen? Up here? 'Safety in low numbers', slogan 339. That's what they say. Isn't it? Richard?"

"Calm down, Adrin," Richard said, raising a palm, "It was probably nothing, just an accident. Nothing to get worked up about, we'll have a new boss soon enough."

Adrin jumped to his feet, shaking his head.

"No, no, people can't just... just be dead. Like that, and no one does anything. All the murders go on... down there. Level 38, 40! Not on 21! It's..." he paused, and thought for a moment. "It must have been... anarchists. They do this sort of thing all of the time, it's always in the news. 'Businesses build, democracy destroys', slogan 72. 'Keep calm and carry on shopping', slogan 154. 'Midlothan minus murder needs anarchism gone', slogan 610!"

Another pause. A look of realisation.

"They're trying to stop the slogans. They want us to stop making slogans! The bastards, they'll try anything! Well they haven't counted on us, eh Richard? We're going to get our new boss and put out more than ever, right? Somsan, Michael?"

Nathan looked at the news as his personal computer beeped. “Ooh that’s not too far from here… Man the newscasters really need to work on their grammar. I mean, I know it’s breaking news, but it just looks sloppy.”

He switched the feed to his contacts, reading up some more. .oO(Hmm, hope it wasn’t anybody I knew… but hey maybe with that great of an advertising firm, I’ll get some more money for the latest project. Not like it needed advertising, for how awesome and world changing it is.)

He changes his course to detour away from the area the murder/suicide had occurred in, figuring it’d be totally packed with people and that’d just be a nightmare to navigate through.

Tyle perked his ears as the voice chimed pleasantly about him. Though as pleasant as it was, it was not likely bearing good news. His long tail swished behind him before curling to keep off the floor as he walked. He held it tight against his back as much as he could to keep it out of the way, forming a bit of an S against his back. His strides were lengthy and swift, arriving at the next server room. "Whoo." he huffed, feeling the heat. It was not sweltering, but enough to bode ill for the equipment and to make him feel to warm under his lush fur, "Well I see why you want some attention here." he began to run his checklist.

It was going to be a late nite it looked like. He mite be fast, but there was allot to be done that did not rely on his speed. After starting recover and back up, he moved to have a look at the thermostat. After taking off its face plate he raised his left arm in front of it and activated his omni tool, scanning it over, making adjustments. Would do little good to fix the servers just to have them over heating and getting bogged down again. After re-assembling the thermostat and testing it, the hybrid perked his ears. The fans and vents began to hum and rurr back to life to his satisfaction and he returned to the server cluster. With the back up completed, he began to wipe them.

The system was thorough in such, filling the system with ones and zeros six times or so to ensure the slate was blank before clearing out. Tyle licked his drying lips with his slender sticky tongue in the meantime and took a moment to stretch out and pop his back. "Alrighty. Lets bring you back to life." he muttered as he began to reinstall the base soft where while analyzing the back up to ensure it would be fit for re use. "At least with cold I could put clothes on. But this stuff would not be any help taking off." he muttered. His clothes consisted of netting and thin flashy fabric, none of which held any heat, nor did it hold much modesty. Fortunately for him, his job did not land him in unpleasant environments like some one in Kaythe's position. In keeping up with Dresden, she wore tougher clothing to fit any environment and her tougher background.

Being able to wear just about anything was something Tyle was most grateful for.

Italy huffed and crossed her arms as she watched the news feed come and go, the flow of people stopping to watch lasted barely long enough to qualify as having given it attention "Bloody hell...what in the world do you have to do to get people to notice things these days? stick a lit sparkler in your ass and run through the square in the nude?!" she managed with a perfectly strait face, the tiger standing beside her however, snorted and snickered a few times before putting a hand on her shoulder as he burst out in a roaring laugh

She smacked his shoulder, a light chuckle coursing her lips as she picked up on just obsurd what she said was. "Oh shut up, it's not That funny" she slowly undid the front zipper of her jacket, reaching in once it was half down to remove a small cylindrical object, sliding it apart at a break point with her small paws, then appeared to bend it before she ran a claw tip down the internal components before holding it up to her ear and turning to face toward a wall, ensuring none could try to read her lips.

She waited a very precise seven seconds before speaking, the line picking up the very moment. "The job's done. turn your channel to the main news network for the proof. The Icarus CEO is dead, and there will be no hiding his death with a clever coverup, and the bullet in his head will keep them from calling it a suicide. SDI will have full control over the negoiations now" She rolled her eyes as the contact on the other end of the line stuttered "Oh shut up would you?" The line went into a stunned silence "I've been in this far too long to not be able to read a situation" God how she hated dealing with new middlemen, someone at SDI must've fired the previous, or gotten himself killed, the new ones always kept as much information as they could from the mechanics, simply giving them a target and nothing more, unused to the operations of the Mechanics. it amused her even more when they felt the need to disguise their voice. "Tell your boss, the mechanics have repaired the problem." She snapped the device shut and tucked it back in her jacket, zipping it back up.

She turned to the tiger, about to tell him the situation, only to find him still snickering, and trying to keep from laughing. she smacked him again.

To those that neared the station they would notice an eerie sight. The train that was pulling away slide away in a long whining sound as the maglev plates grinded themselves together as the moved along them. A moment later after the grinding started there was a massive explosion from the main tram station. Anyone that got to the tram station in time would notice that there were still many people that where alive just knocked out or on their way to dying. Unlike before where there was a news broadcast almost immediately there was nothing, what made it more unusual was the complete lack of anything. To anyone on this level there cortex contact had also been cut, all news, media, and related services would be unavailable.

    --

Icarus Slogan development room # 12

A strange event occurred; the cortex went out across the entire building. Something that has not happened on level 21 in over 200 years, Michael noticing the outage went pale very very quick. “Hey, hey remember the first slogan. Shut the fuck up, and sit down.” There was neither humor nor sarcasm in his voice as he attempted everything he could to get back onto the cortex. His attempts getting more and more frantic with each passing second…

    --

Sky Dragon Innovations Sever building, level 21

Tyle would notice the outage be it from a different perspective. After having rebooted the servers he would that the section of level 21 that these servers fed was under a media blackout via the Alpha directive.

(please note that more information will be forwarded to you via PM)

    --

    SDI Head Quarters, surface

A mongoose looked over his screens; he was watching the explosion on level twenty one with a small smile. “Hmm, it’s about time that you acted. How long will this little game of ours go on this time…”

(On a side note, your next post is pretty crucial to where your characters go from here, so post wisely.)

All the hairs of Tyle's neck stood up as a sickening chill trickled down his spine and tingles darted through his body after looking over the results of the reboot. Lowering his arms to his side, his omni tool tool deactivated and he slipped his pointed tongue past his lips to drag it around the outside of his muzzle while tapping his thumbs against his hip bones. Turning away from the servers, his heart rate began to increase as the rest of the world seemed to gain a bit of a delay to him. "Just another day." he told himself, going back through in his mind the various things he has heard and seen.

He did not feel a strong urge to go any where, in spite of the realization. He just had to hope that his job would stay in tact. With his composure once again intact, he left the server room to see what others were doing in the rest of the building at this time, eying the men and women of the security branch with measured caution. One said security unit was a male that was mostly mongoose that Tyle fancied in a casual way who he stopped to talk to now,
Heard any coms chatter?" he asked, figuring there would be a reaction from the other male very soon, if he was not responding to a call already.

“Hey, hey remember the first slogan. Shut the fuck up, and sit down.”

Adrin obediently did so. His hands fidgeted nervously as, under his breath, he recounted slogan after slogan. "224: '
It’s from the filth and grime that we find the greatest of riches'. 225: 'It’s your duty to learn what you can become'. 226: 'Only with your help can you feed yourselves..."
