(This is not necessarily for anyone else, but merely for records in the Sins concept, focusing on the X-Over)

I thought...we had run out of time. The doppelganger almost had his way. It was true, what we were doing - so many would die. I hope you never read this, but if you are it means...

I trusted you. My dragon. I believed in you, and that got me here. I wish you could see what I see...and as I gaze out of this little hub, proceeding toward the apex of the P.A.A.B.'s Brother, all I can think about is you. I don't want to leave you behind.

The engines are roaring at full blast now. I can see the roof of the high school. It looks so small...I guess it always was a bit small for us. I just wish we could have had more time.

Here it comes. I'm passing the clouds now, and the atmosphere is getting thicker. It's pressing in all around the ship - our ship - Absol. I hope you knew what you were doing! D*, it's so hard to breath now... ARGH! Ugh! No! It's not going to work, the atmosphere is too strong! They've won, Dresden! Fàux was right!

And then came the darkness. It swallowed everything, thundering the ship higher and higher just when I thought the engines were going to give out, and then...

The P.A.A.B.'s Brother shattered. I was free! I looked out of the little hub, out across the surface of Old Earth...and I cried. I hope you don't think too little of me, but I could not believe it. There were two GSA ships beyond Emerald City, going seemingly unnoticed by a larger, much deadlier ship. But when I shattered the containment field, the larger ship turned, as if to notice the city below for the first time. It opened fire on the GSA ships, disintegrating them with one blast. I had slept through this class...but now I knew Gaiss had been trying to prepare us all along.

"TURN ON CLOAKING DEVICE!" I yelled, darkness covering me. The Shadar-kai ship turned toward Emerald City. I watched as pieces of the P.A.A.B. began to fall, shattering in a ripple around the city. I watched in terror as the ship's scion cannon's glossier wings began to rotate one after the other until all three were spinning. The cannon charged to maximum and aimed at the court house so many miles below.

Dresden...What have we done?
