    Hey again folks.

You may have noticed the Steam Card appearing on some people's posts, and you may have wondered how to get your own.

It's fairly straightforward, but there are a couple of things you need to do.

First open up your Steam Client and go to your profile. Click on "Edit Profile" and make sure that you have your custom URL setup. It's best to simply make this the same as your username.

Then, once that's all set, go to your profile over here on SciFiFur and then fill in the SteamID profile field.

That's all there is to it. Now you'll be able to show off your Steam card in your posts.

ok this is great, i'd like to put a bit of my art in my sig. but what is this "steam" of which you speak? and what are the form factors (max/min horizontal/vertical/file size) for the artwork in it?

its not what stands or falls, but what its replaced by or evolves into, that we actually have to live with.

Steam is an online store/community where you can buy and play PC games. It has a profile that keeps track of what you play, how long you play, and the achievements that you've earned in the games. It's completely optional, so if you've never signed up for an account over there there's no need for you to do anything with that here.

If you want to add art to your signature though, that's easy enough. You can either link to your artwork or upload the picture. As for sizes, you can make something as big as what I've got on mine, which is 485x186. There's no specific size I don't think. Just keep in mind that it's going to show up on every post, so you wouldn't want to make something too enormous.
