Jon nods to the hologram, "Do what you guys have to, and soon. We're not getting any closer to our destination by sitting around here."

[Arratra]

"I understand," Muukhuz said, "I've activated some transport drones, and tasked them with taking discarded parts from the Hyperdrive to your ship... And just so you know, our shields are back up. We'll have to do some tinkering to get them back up to full strength, but otherwise we're good."

[Nelle Kozera]

"Alright, i have sat here long enough..." The Otter said getting up, "Name is Andrew by the way..." He said heading to the elevator before departing he turned back to the captain. "You might want to avoid engineering for a few months...not the most wonderful of sights..." He said before the doors closed.

Huo made a note to definately go easier on his pilots when this was all done. He was sweating hard, and dodging wrenches with the rest of them. He'd overlook the lack of discipline... mainly because it was that... or space walk.
Though he'd admit, field repairs on the spacecraft was much easier than this.

Jon nods to the Otter, "Thanks Andrew. I know this isn't the most ideal of situations, but it looks like we're all in this together now. Just do your best."

With that the elevator doors close and Jon is left alone on the bridge, except for the dragon suspended in his tube. He looks over to Razel, "Well, I guess I had better get myself back in shape."

Leaving the bridge he heads to the ship's gym and starts working muscles that have grown quite stiff over the years.

[Arratra]

Muukhuz vanished from the bridge, and the Dark Core cruiser moved alongside, settling into position so that the drones could cross the gap with minimal effort.

Timeless Undiscovery, May 18th 2769
18 months later ship time

The last eighteen months of the journey have had its up and its downs. While Razel, the Captian, and the other crew members that had been taken out of Cyro-sleep where accustom to such travel times. The others that had came aboard where not, the idea of taking years to reach a destination was a foreign to them…very foreign. The Undiscovery was a very large vessel doubly so when all considered it had a crew of less than twenty and the recommended skeleton crew was far closer to two hundred. No matter what why one looked at it, it was a very empty ship, vast areas of the vessels had not even been pressurized let alone searched and it was one of these lonely areas that were the current problem, for the last six months one of the caches on board the Undiscovery had been giving Razel and later the Dark Core AI when he invited her to take a look at it problems, it had now gone dark, and Razel had a fit over it being ignored till some of the pilots decided to humor him if only to prevent him from making them walk in vacuum.

So this is where they are at the moment, along with anyone else that drew the short straw to come along and check out the black zone. “I’m I alone in thinking that Razel is Insane at times?” Asked a Fennec fox by the name of Dmitri who had been one of the four that had been awakened from the Cyro-pods. The moment he asked the grey bulk head opened to a very large hold with large Para-steel crates that where strapped to the floor…

"I hardly think so," Muukhuz said over the radio, "If parts of the Shadow Dragon were to go dark, I'd be worried, too. I mean, to him, the ship is like his body. I've heard of people like this. They're hardly insane."
The group included a single SCION trooper, who nodded. Ever since coming aboard the Undiscovery, the male dragon had been utterly silent, and when someone enquired as to why, he would point at his throat, which had a scar on it, clearly a knife wound of some sort. He had not deigned to bring along the electronic enunciator they knew he had.

[Daryn]

Jon is pleased to see that at least the engineering teams were making progress. While it certainly wasn't as quick as he'd like, he certainly couldn't expect them to work miracles given the strangeness of the entire situation.

He's spent a lot of time over the last several months cobing over sensor data, hoping that maybe he could spot something that might give them a clue as to what could have happened, and if it were possible to reproduce it to get them home.

Huo shrugged at the other fennec, and adjusted his holstered pistol. He'd probably not have brought it, but regulations were regulations. Though he'd not brought any other weapon with him.
"If he thinks it needs checking, we check it. Least we can do. Hell, we'd do the same if we thought something was wrong with our craft. It's why engineers hate us so."
Some joker in the back quipped.
"I thought that was cause we aren't good at fixing stuff?!"
They shared a chuckle, the mood was light.

The same Fennec from before was looked at the creates with an odd look, before a realization struck him. "OH! Thats why Razel was so pissy about this area..." He said pointing at the creates though refused to explain farther as they got closer as he got closer he noticed movement to his right. "Anyone else see that?" He asked aloud to the group.

Else where at a station Foreign computer code was blitzing across the terminal that the captain was sitting over...

[Daryn]

Jon peers at the terminal curiously. "Hello... what do we have here?" he ponders to himself, "Razel, are you getting this?" He pours over the code trying to make sense of it.

[Arratra]

The SCION nodded, drawing his pistol.

Muukhuz appeared on a nearby holopad; the image and voice were now much clearer as she had worked on the compatability issues.
"I'm detecting foreign code attempting to penetrate the firewalls on the Shadow Dragon," she said, "I've physically isolated all of the vital systems and weapons. I strongly suggest that Razel do the same, at least until we figure out what this code does."

[Nelle Kozera]

"Heh..." Razel said, in response the other AI's suggestion. "I wish I could, but it seems this thing has been around for a long time, and is in a lot of my systems as it is, and I have isolated anything not infected yet...but i can run Phoenix if need be captain..." All the computer connections on board the vessel where hard line connections by the request of Razel himself before he was processed to become the core of the Undiscovery. Along with that he had the drones of the vessel set up physical break points in the thousands kilometers of Electro-Optic networking cables. A single command could cripple the ship from the inside, Razel had code named this kill switch "Phoenix" while he had informed the captain of this he refused to mention it to anyone else, and on top of that only Razel could activate the program.

A shadow like shape could be seen in the distance, far across the bay but in the direction in which Dmitri had pointed. "Boys..." The fox said in a lowered his voice...

[OOC, I'm playing this by the book, welcome to military efficiency]

Huo patted his sidearm, and checked the safety.
"Easy lads... don't be firing off ordnance at some rat."
The fennec nodded, then signalled to his pilots. Following drill, they spread out a little, so that if there was a hostile they would all be grouped up. They all hand their holsters open, but hadn't drawn their pistols yet.
"Keep your safeties on, I don't want a black cross on anyone's record." Huo said, referring to the little black crosses marked on one's personel sheet that marked friendly fire incidents.
The squadron leader walked over to the box and peered inside. He nodded, at what he saw.
Huo nodded at the SCION trooper to get his attention. "You!, you forgot your voice communicator, so like it or not, you must be juniored in this. Stick with my pilots. Don't run off."
Huo tapped into the radio and tried to raise Razel. After several tries and recieving nothing, he turned to the closest pilot, a wolf.
"Jonas! You're designated runner. Take a message to the Captain. We're at the designated point. Some disturbance of materials but the objects appear secure. Movement spotted. Possible hostile."
Huo pointed Jonas back the way they came, turning around as the wolf sprinted off.
"Pair up, spread out, remain within radio contact. Radio in any disturbances, oddities. I don't care if you find a misplaced credit. You report it. Check in every minute. SCION trooper, you're with me."
"We'll sweep this room fully, if there's something here, there may well be more."

[Daryn]

Jon stares at the code on the screen. He can't tell what language it was written in, but he can certainly see an elegance to it. He looks over to the tube-dragon, "Phoenix? Damn Razel, running that would set us back years. The time it'd take us to recover from that would be significant. Let's not go that route unless it is absolutely necessary. Isolate what you can, firewall the hell out of yourself if you have to, just stay online."

He sighs, "Alien code, unidentified lifeforms on board, how the hell did they get here in the first place?" Jon shakes his head in irritation, "Then again, we've been asleep for centuries, who knows how many aliens could've come and gone in that time..."

[Nelle Kozera]

“I have already taken those precautions captain…” He was cut off as the Runner came onto the Bridge with his message. The holographic version of Razel nodded. “Alright tell Huo I said thanks and make sure that none of my objects turn up missing, that’d be…very bad…” He said to the runner who nodded returning from whence he came. “Captain, we are just under the speed of light right now and have been for a few decades real time. But that’s not my issue here, within a few weeks ship time we’ll be within one thousand AU’s of this system and if we have an intruder on board and that might cause a problem.”

Whatever the shadow was that Cargo bay had bolted down one of the corridors, whatever it was, it was fast. “Eh guys…we are missing numbers 16 and 15…” It was Dmitri, the creates had been labeled one through thirty five though the reason for this was unexplained at the moment.

[Daryn]

Jon looks over to Razel, "If it takes that long to flush out one intruder then I need to look into hiring a better staff." he chuckles.

[Arratra]

The SCION grimaced; his enunciator only spoke in Draconic, added to which was the fact that it was a rather obscure dialect, which nobody aboard the Undiscovery could understand. Which was why he had left it behind. Better to be silent and understood then talkative and no one able to understand him. He flicked on a light on his hardsuit, and just barely managed to sweep the beam across the creature before it left his line of sight.
"I saw that on the helmet cam," Muukhuz said, sounding startled and worried, "But I can't tell what it is..."
On the bridge, she spoke again, "Jon, we've got an intruder in the cargo area... and we're missing two crates. 15 and 16 to be exact. Crate A-25-B is missing too." (A-25-B is a parts crate sent over from the Shadow Dragon)
"It contained a spare hyperdrive core," Likilia broke in, sounding worried, "Only a small one, designed for the fighters... but it could be converted into an impromptu bomb. You saw what happened when the Hyperdrive aboard our cruiser went critical... I just arrived back from scouting the planet. Surface is habitable, but dangerous because of local fauna. A seabase, however, seems viable, even preferable. We have all the materials we need for such a facility. I have found a possible location in a sheltered bay, filled with life-forms roughly analogous with coral. The planet is highly rich in minerals, as well, so we should have plenty of resources available. If need be, we can even construct land vehicles for ground excursions."
Muukhuz nodded, and vanished.

Huo swore when Dmitri pointed out the missing crates. Things just went from midly bad, to seriously bad.
"Right, change in directives. Shoot to kill. We are taking no chances."
Naturally the squadron leader got a few startled looks at the order change, Huo himself drew his pistol and flicked off the safety. The pilot pointed out his remaining pilots.
"Inventory check, make sure these 'objects' are secure. Do not allow anything into this cargo hold. When Jonas makes it back, send him back to Razel, tell him to start sealing sections of the ship if he can, Objects 15 and 16 are missing, two in pursuit I won't risk any others. Make sure he is aware that 15 and 16 are missing."

The fennec, nodded at the SCION trooper, understading from the tone that he was worried.
"Easy there, it should be fine."
Though Huo, knowing what those crates contained according to the coded manifest... was NOT thinking it would be fine.
"You and me, we go get the thing."
With that Huo moved into the corridor, his pistol ready, though inside he was sweating. Oh yes, things could go so badly wrong right now. Huo waved Muukhuz to follow him. If Huo managed to get a visual he'd fire on it.

[Arratra]

(OOC Muukhuz is using the SCION's radio to talk to the squad.)

The SCION managed a sigh, and followed, his pistol out. He pulled out a weapon mod marked "CRYO ROUNDS" and slipped it into the weapon, winking at Huo as he did so.

Down the corridor the group of two would find a body, it was one of the revived crew that had gone missing missing a few weeks before though no one had been able to locate...till now. Over the body stood a life form though it seemed to be wearing some kind of EVA suit/armor. The creature itself was humanoid though its facial features where covered by a reflective helmet though the helmet stretched a full seventy centimeters back from the bottom of the helmet giving it a banana like shape. To add to this, the creature had a land seemingly dexterous tail. Behind it was a locked bulkhead covered by a blast door, it wasn't going anywhere for the moment. It jumped at Huo with what looked like massive knifes, what they where composed of was unknown.

The runner having returned from its trip back the Cache had more to report to Razel and the captain to which Razel was horrified from though the meaning for this was lost on the captain and the runner, along with the Dark Core AI for that matter...

[Arratra]

The Scion jumped between them, his own sword flashing out. An instant later, it was humming, as the blades crashed into an energy field around the blade.
His pistol clattered to the floor; he had dropped it in his haste to draw his sword.
"What is this thing?" Muukhuz asked, as a hologram of her popped into existence off to the left of the SCION. The hologram was on its side, so she looked like she was lying in midair.

"Oh shi-" With a startled cry, Huo flung himself backwards, losing his pistol as he did so. As he rolled he saw the SCION trooper take the front, and so he grabbed for the pistol that Muukhuz had dropped, readying himself to shoot, as soon as he had a clear sight.

[Daryn]

Jon pours over the alien code. He's spent a lot of time with programming and things of the like, so hopefully he may be able to make some sense of it. While the Troopers and Pilots are doing what they can about the intruder he does his part on the bridge.

[Nelle Kozera]

What ever the blade was made of, it was able to with stand contact with the energy blade for the moment as the alien slashed at the Trooper...

"Captain, your the only one board...that is alive anyway...that has training on weapons seat, i'm going to need you to get down the weapons chair for this, I think I know where our our missing packages are..."

[Daryn]

Jon nods and hops out of the Captain's chair and heads across the bridge to the weapons seat. On the way he raps on Razel's tube, just to be sure the dragon is paying attention.

He seats himself at the weapons console and starts the checks to bring the systems online. "What do we have here now?"

[Arratra]

The Scion drew his other blade, a knife of roughly equal length to the ones that the alien was using.
This blade hummed in a similar fashion to the other on, and as the four weapons grated against each other, the energy-coated blades hissed and sputtered; one of the blades managed to take a tiny bite out of the side of one of the alien knives, but nothing that would weaken the weapon's integrity.

Huo, leant left and right, and swore. He didn't have a shot on the thing just yet, and he wasn't about to try assisting the SCION as that would most likely make things worse.
He steadied himself though and raised the gun, ready to take the shot as soon as the first opening made itself clear.

“Neural up link captain, I’m going to need you to have full control while I feed you data…” Razel said though the speakers of the ship, though he seemed a little unhappy at the moment.

“Well now isn’t this interesting…” Came through the speakers on the suit of the Alien, “The original owner is awakened and then other come that he just allows you on with no problem but he plays…a mouse and cat game with me for years…or is it cat and mouse?” He was apparent that he was talking through a translator at the moment, not that it meant that he was lenient with his weapons as he pushed the trooper closer to the wall.
