As of 2300 hundred standard earth hours, it has been three days sense the Mira, a boarder world on in the Carina Nebula has fallen out of contact with several Galactic system alliance relay stations and there has been complaints of the inability to access cortex severs on this remote planet. The Mira outpost, has been on the razor edge of alliance space for some time, being only two light years from an Akalian major population center there have been rumors that the loss of contact with this planet was been due to an attack on the Alliance relay stations along the Akalian boarder, though this claim has yet to be confirmed.

In other News, the theocratic empire of the Divine Star has fractured. It is at this time unknown if terrorists have involved in the massacre of the high clergy that once commanded the mighty empire. As of this moment, the entire state is under martial law, and emergency powers have been given to their highest general. It is unknown if the untested general Artois will be able to keep the keep the struggling nation in line. It may be possible in the next few months that we will see a radical shift in power and policy of the Divine Star. As of this moment, all trade, with the exception of humanitarian aid, with the Divine star has been suspended until farther notice.

On the Akalian homeworld, and throughout Akalian space support for the Extreme right wing group known as the Excellens Domus is growing and has gained them a seat in the small nations lower house of the legislator. As of this moment, it is unknown how this will affect the galactic cross roads of this time…

The deterioration of the Divine star is accelerating; some of the outlaying worlds of the DSE have completely broken into riots. Near the Akalian board there have been rumors of the minor nation attempting to take over DSE space, though without drastically enlarging there military, or making alliances with the Alliance, Dark core, or the Outer Rim it is Unknown how they would pull off such a feat. It has been speculated that this has been planned for years and that they have away to do it but for the moment how they would go about such a feat is unknown.

In the Carina nebula there have been reports funneling in from Akalian sources that one of their ships has gone missing in the nebula and that the government still refuses to act. Why this is happing is of great concern to the people of the nation. Reports suggest that it is only a matter of time before the ED has control of the Akalian government.

In other news, the GSA has signed a treaty with the other empires of the galaxy that it pledges to stops the use of its Cerberus class weapons. There are some to believe that it is a moot point and that the GSA is doing this to quite someone of the moral conservatives in its own government. There are more that believe that GSA had stopped use of the weapon over thirty years ago and has moved onto deadlier types of weapon though it has never been made public if the GSA had continued its research into Bio organic weaponry….

Kaitanian Fanatics to supplement Caprican Police Forces. - Caprican Sensation
Caprica, in the wake of the terrorist actions have called to other nearby planets for extra security options.
Caprica Central Government insists that the Kaitanians were chosen to bolster the security after all other options were considered.

Despite this being the case, the Caprican Government is being critisized for its choice of the Huo Tribe Peacekeepers, known for brutality in their policing.
Indeed the criticism extends to why the Huo Tribe was selected rather than for example the Shui Tribe, known for their greater regard for life. Further to this, critics accuse the government of being money-grabbing for picking the cheapest option available.

GSA Officers are being sent to Caprica in order to recieve command of the Kaitanian troops.
A junior GSA officer, who wished to remain unnamed stated:
'Kaitanians, especially Huo Tribe Kaitanians, are barbaric in their application of justice. More akin to a death squad.'
In the wake of this decision, citizens are advised by the Caprican Government to ensure they have both digital and hard-copies of their Caprican Identities (CIDs), and travellers are urged to keep their travel documents with them at all times.

CCG Performs Knee-Jerk Reaction in Face of Opposing Public Opinion! - Caprican Sensation
Threatened with mass-strikes at major companies on Caprica, the Caprican Central Government has moved fast to placate the people of Caprica. CCG has reduced the extra security options by as much as 80% and filled it with other Kaitan Tribes. Though the Kaitanians are known for barbarity, GSA has also pledged that it will keep a very tight reign on the Kaitan Peacekeepers arriving on Caprica. CCG has bolstered the number of GSA officers greatly as a result to placate union leaders.
Long time Critic of the CCG, Edwin Yanick, has claimed that this type of reaction was atypical of the CCG and showed that the CCG was weak, and too quick to reverse direction if it ever seemed polls would fall. In related news, SDI has praised the CCG's quick adaption and implementation of security measures following the security breach that the terrorist actions have shown.

A Look Into Hiji - Planetary Geographic

The planet Hiji has recently suffered yet another disaster. Of all the planets in the GSA, Hiji suffers several disasters a year, and on rare occasions sometimes once a month.
Fires have burst throughout the farmland regions on the planet, burning away both the profitable crops that grow with ease on Hiji, but also the livelihood of the farming communities there.
The harsh conditions faced by Hiji Citizens is put up with for the high quality grains produced there, with relative ease.
Two months ago saw massive floods, and last year saw a severe earthquake.
The GSA has pledged to aid the people of Hiji, and has moved to once again grant the stricken planet further aid from the GSA.

The Starlight Dragon has been sighted in an all-out dogfight with a notorious pirate gang. The famous strikecraft was fighting beside several unknown fighters, believed to be prototype Dark Core vehicles. Reports indicate that the pirates lost all of their capital ships, and are now holed up in a heavily damaged, abandoned Dark Core astrophysics research facility.
As the facility is on the border between GSA and Dark Core space, a joint force is being sent in to mop up.

GSA VESSELS ATTACKED!

On the border in the Mira Systems, taskforce nineteen of 21st pioneer defense fleet was attacked by Dark Core vessel while on a routine patrol though the system, the GSANS Destroyer Walk on the Delta Blue and its group of frigates where attack by a group rouge Dark Core Vessels at 2900 Caprican local time. Prime Minister Maloney Fairway has warned the Dark Core that the already icy relations between the two galactic superpowers has been worsened by this turn of events.

Analysts say it’s only a matter of time before the MilkyWay is drawn into war, other say the Defacto cold war and arms race that the GSA and Dark Core have been waging for the last fifteen years will turn hot very quick, more at eleven hundred hours...
