The laser shot went wild impacting and burning a small hole into the passage way wall. The hanger was still for the moment. The silence was deafening as nothing happened in the hanger. Down the hall way a blast door opened showing a much wider interior to the complex, meaning there was more inside, and quite possibly more like the Rakai…or wrose…

Rashek, shaken up by the Rakai and quite unsure what to do, stands from behind the cover he'd taken. He looks around, unable to scan anything. "Do...Do we keep moving?" The attack, the Rakai, had triggered a memory he'd had of his early childhood. He suppressed it quickly, but the haunting screams still shook him. Unnerved, he looks at the others. "Should we...Go on?"

Re: The Butterfly Effect (Formerly Caprica)
Arratra clawed at his helmet release, and pulled the device off, collapsing to his knees. His eyes were wide open, hardly blinking, and his pupils were dilated.
"Akrid!" he said, "Akrid."
The word, which was from Draconic, would be meaningless to the others; even if they had UTs, it was an obscure term very rarely used. It was also somewhat of a secret among those who used the word as to what it meant.
"I'm OK," he said after a moment, "I'll... I'll recover."
He shook his head, and groaned, before putting his helmet on again. He got up and staggered to the side.
"Sorry, Suru'Kai," he said, leaning against the wall, "There is no possible way I could have controlled that outburst; It was a reflex, an automatic action. Defensive in nature. Meant to get whatever was causing such pain away from me... Is the android salvagable?"

Re: The Butterfly Effect (Formerly Caprica)
“It’s alright Arratra: as long as you didn’t kill me.” He groaned, removing a plate on his armour and injecting what looked like a tiny needle of a glowing gold fluid into his burnt arm before handing another to Arratra. “Take it. It’s Torr’Korr. Powerful Rakai Painkillers; should make you feel better.”
“Against my better judgement… I think we should move on. I think the Rakai showed us that vision for a reason.” Suru’Kai said, replacing the armour plate and pulling Quanta’s unconscious body off the wall; laying him on the floor before starting to help fix his shorting body. Despite Rakai being very resistant to Psychic attacks, Suru’Kai was affected like everyone else, but he wasn’t scared of the visions the Rakai gave him.
“Before we go though, we need to get Quanta back up and running. I feel certain we’ll need his help later. Reckon you lot can help me?”
Suru’Kai started by opening a feed to his armour through Quanta’s damaged chest; stopping Quanta from shorting out by absorbing the bleeding energy and feeding energy back through properly.
“Quanta? Can you hear me?”

Arratra shook his head, gently pushing the vial away.
"Not a good idea," he said, "It reacts to the Element X in my nervous system, creating a toxic compound. I know. I've seen it happen. Not pretty."
"And before you ask, no, I do not know how myself and the other SCIONs were exposed to Element X. Had to be in-utero, though, while we were developing. The colony world I'm from was a fairly well-established one. We were just occupied during the last big war with the Dark Core. That was some one hundred twenty years ago, as far as I'm aware."

“Fair enough.” Suru’Kai said, taking back the needle and putting it back in its case on his leg. “I’ve seen the nasty side of E-X during the Strider Wars. Awful stuff… especially when used as a live-fire weapon.”
Suru’Kai suppressed a slight shiver at this memory.
“Anyway, let’s see if we can get Quanta’s body back online. I don’t want to have to transfer his consciousness into that War-Drone until he’s repaired; because I can tell right now that he’s going to hate that with a passion.”
Suru’Kai worked quickly, trying to repair Quanta’s damaged body; using every bit of Mechanical repair knowledge he had in a faint effort to bring him back online…

The Kaitanians picked themselves up. Feng Di's mouth tightened as they got up, the squad was sharing a series of 'what was that' amongst themselves. She signalled for quiet.
Whatever that had been.... it had been bad. Whatever it meant, wasn't their issue. They had orders. For that Feng Di was glad. She certainly didn't want to have to experience those emotions and views again. She shivered, aware that the whole squad was spooked. Nothing to be done about that. The Kaitanian straighted her shoulders and walked with a confidence she did not feel, to calm her squad. As they went, the tension seemed to fade a little.
As a group they entered the HQ, Feng Di saluted sharply, bracing herself for a verbal thrashing, their GSA officer didn't sound, or look pleased.

--- Rebooting --- Primary systems status... Green --- Secondary systems status... Yellow --- Auxiliary system status... yellow --- Tertiary systems status... orange.
Internal diagnostics complete... Damage report pending... Moderate damage to abdominal synthetic muscular skeletal structure, moderate damage to internal artificial organ structure, bio-molecular acidic breakdown chemicals escaping into interior structure, constant minor damage following synthetic nerve damage, moderate damage to power conduit 3, initiating automated field-repair of damaged systems... Estimated completion time of automated repairs... 180+ seconds. Stand-by... Mechanical support required.
Quanta spoke as his eyes opened, glowing red. His ears twitched as his whole body spasmed momentarily as his central nervous system checked if the foreign object interfering with electrical conductivity was still present. Satisfied that it was not, his abdominal region seemed to split open, his skin turning transparent as it slid back on seemingly microscopic servo motors, revealing black, micro silver hexagon patterned circuit laid musculature that was bleeding small amounts of glowing blue colored "blood".
The large silver area of his stomach region receeded, the muscles contracting out of the way, revealing a complex arrangement of strange looking organs coupled with cybernetic, metallic attachments and mechanical systems lining the interior.
The damages were obvious to a qualified engineer like Darien, despite the systems possible being dissimilar to systems he'd be used to working with. What looked like green stomach acid was seeping from the stomach-looking synthetic organ, deterring Quantas nano-cell auto-repair procedures of the damaged artificial tissues and systems.

"Come on Quanta... I'm not letting you go down." Suru'Kai muttered under his breath, but heavily distorted as he was lending him huge amounts of his suits power to help him regenerate. A few minutes pouring out energy like this and his suits plasmite generator would burn out and his armour would completly shut down; including his life-saving AC unit.
"Come on... Just a bit more..." Suru'Kai groaned as his suit started to vent large amounts of steam out of a pair of vents below his wings: His suit was starting to overheat as the AC Started to weaken and alarms start flashing on his visor. He was quite literally risking his life to revive Quanta.

Darien would try to patch up the Leaking organs as best he can. He looks around the hangar for anything he can use to patch up the damaged organs. The tool of choice he tries to find is, of course, duct tape. Why? That stuff can fix any problem, from a bad cut to a punctured starship hull.
He frantically looks around for said miracle tape, trying to stay out of sight as best he can. It is up to the game master if he can find any duct tape, and if he can, he'll go and begin to patch up Quanta's damaged organs immediately.

Suru’Kai was hyperventilating as his suit overheated. He had never poured this much energy into anything before, and if it didn’t stop within about a minute, he would be in serious trouble. The more power he poured into the disabled Cyborg, the more of his suits systems shut down to try and conserve power.
“Come on Quanta… Get up… Get up!” Suru’Kai panted as his suits internal temperature skyrocketed to around 40 degrees centigrade.

Quantas eyes flew open. Blaring, blinking green as he detected the danger to one of his teamates, Suru'Kai. "Danger... Danger... Life-form under duress... "
Quanta's nanotech structure absorbed the bio-tape, patching up the internal organ structure as the power conduits re-arranged and repaired themselves.
His abdomen closed up right afterwards, extending his arm he grappled Suru'Kais arm, the back of his hand slid open and five nanotech diode wires extended into his suit, connecting to the interface ports where they could find them.
Transferring power directly from Quantas cold-fusion power core, including some of the cold temperature inside the core via limited liquid transfusion. Hopefully it would be sufficient to resupply his suit with power and cool his system.

He was unconscious before he hit the ground: completely at the mercy of the lethally hot air as his AC unit had died along with almost all of his suits Life Support systems. All that could be heard of him was a very weak, raspy breathing from inside his helmet.

With his rebooting cycle complete he gets back up. The recordings from his security optic holo-sensor revealing the story to him. Getting to his feet he made his way towards where Suru'Kai was now being kept. Analyzing his vitals... He looked down. They weren't in the green. This was outside his area of expertise.
He had no knowledge of Rakai physiology, he was a combat engineer. A sentinel. Not a medic. Hanging his head, half cursing himself for having nearly gotten him killed... He removed Suru'Kais damaged battle armor and took it to the aft of the walker.
Sitting down he got to work repairing the damaged systems, mending the circuits, modifying the servos and adding in an additional AC unit, he even modified the combat VI heads up display system to provide more compacted data. It was the least he could do to repay him for mending his function cycle...

Their officer really wasn't happy with them. At least the rest of Feng Di's squad had the sense to act upset.
They lowered their heads, none of them speaking for a while.
They'd born out the awkward silence as they waited for their officer to speak.
Finally Hei Feng Di spoke.
"It was our fault sir. Or better to say mine. I take full responsibility for the squad's actions."
She gulped nervously as she awaited judgement from her senior, who could make or break her in a whim.
