"Well then, let's see what we can scrounge up." He'll begin to search for any schematics of the core and the devices protecting it. If he can find the designs, he may be able to find a weakness.

"I'd like to request permission to take SCION 12's rifle," Arratra said, "And, if possible, her holotag. If she is still alive, it is absolutely imperative that we free her. There is a test subject loose in the facility."

"Arratra, I think we have to release more than just your comrade from this facility, but I'll put her a little higher on the list." Suru'Kai said while transferring his Armour and rifles camera feeds to Darien.
"Darien; you got a good signal? It uses a Phase feed, so it should be undetectable to outside sources."

Darien looks over the monitors that Suru'Kai sent the feed to. "Looks like it's strong enough. This place is huge..."

[Arratra]

"She's the strongest stable Psyker in the SCION unit," Arratra protested, "Her weapons skills might be a bit lacking, but she's able to manipulate gravity, and I've even seen her tear a man apart on the inside with her powers. Something even I can't do."

[BIos_Reaper]

Quantas ears perked, he chuckled to himself. "One of you fleshy things maybe. I'd like to see her try and break me in half. Probably split her own head before she can even lift me off the ground."

With that Quanta finialized his communication with the facility Beta-type ONI. To say he had little confidence in psionics was an understatement.

"The Beta-type of this facility has granted us access but most of the systems here are offline. We'll need to restore the main ONI's central processing cluster in order to regain full oversight of the facility. The hover turrets also apparently have lost most of their power, they will be unreliable at best as cover when we move further down the facility.

Tactical analysis: Reccomend heading for the station oversight AI core first. We'll need full access to the facility in order to determine what went on down here."

He stepped past Arratra, raising a hand and tapping the rifle he'd been staring at, moving it over to him. "I do believe you wanted this?"

“Easy Quanta. Just because you’re an Android; doesn’t give you the right to badmouth us Organics.” Suru’Kai growled under his breath at Quanta. “And don’t forget that Arratra was able to chuck you around like a Ragdoll no problem at all.”
Suru’Kai adjusted the sights on his rifle.
“I know that this is going to sound like a Bad idea, but I propose we split up. Some of us go to the Mainframe and try and get it online, some of us try to find that room that the Psionic Rakai showed us. I think there’ll be a clue as to what went on here in that room. Darien can stay here and oversee us and alert us to any still active defences or traps. Speaking of which: Darien, can you use that computer to try and locate the Rakai? I’m getting the feeling that we should get it off this planet.”

Arratra deftly caught the rifle, holstering his own.
"Her finesse is greater than mine," he admitted, "and for another, she's good with barriers, which is my weak point."
He was silent for a moment, before chuckling.
"I'd show you my power... but I don't think it's such a good idea to be randomly punching dents in the walls of flinging sensitive equipment around."

Chuckling mildly Quanta went over to one of the closed, solid doors. In a single swift motion his arm went straight through it like a knife through paper mache. Drawing it back the skin wasn't even scratched.

Flexing his fingers afterwards like easing out tension, even though there was none in a mechanical arm.

"I meant no disrespect. I merely meant that until psionics are able to do what I just did, I'd have nothing to fear from them. Besides I do believe my sonic-screecher ought to give anyone attempting it a splitting headache.

The one weakness of psioncis is concentration and there are many ways to break it. If you want a tip however? Try focussing your energy through your suit shielding as opposed to directly projecting it. And about that Suru'kai.

If it hadn't been for that particlar mangled piece of metal piercing me, I'd have remained unharmed."

With that his armor materialized again. Only this time, four actuator manipulatory tentacles extended from his back, each ending in a mandible of four per lower ones, three per top ones(Doc-oc styled extra workforce arms)a blue LED holographic optical sensor positioned in the center of each that blinked sometimes like an eye.

Getting to work he first repaired the hole he'd caused, nanomite lasers working the damaged material back together before he attached two of the tentacles to the computer and slowly attempted to re-write some of the rooms security drone code.

Even if the ones further down the facility were of no use, reprogramming at least two for following, scouting and flanking tactics would prove useful nonetheless.

The Hole that Quanta made reviled that the metal surroundings where merely a facade. A few centimeters below the thin metal plate show the real material. It was an organic skeletal like structure which had crumpled to prevent damage to the superstructure leaving a perfect hole instead of a dent in the wall. Once the robotic fist had been removed the organic processes went to work as clear fluid filled the gap. If one looked through the fuild one would see the organic material growing at an extreme rate, repairing it self from the damage it had suffered. The Fluid was also begin used in the new growth until there was only a thin "scab" left which fell of once the healing process was complete. On impact with the floor it shattered into extremely fine dust...

"I must inform you that SCION #12, as you called her is deceased, she was terminated by subject 3792304 when this lab lost primary power. Shortly after this I lost power to surveillance feeds in that section, though the chances of having her survival with her internal organs liquefied is Zero, irreversible brain death. You should find her body near the Pandora AI core."

"In response I would highly recommend bringing the inertial defense fields off line. It acts similarly to a forcefield and rapidly fluctuating Jupiter class hurricane for inorganic life and an organ grinder and a forcefield to organic life."

Darien begins to use the computer to worm his way into the security systems. "Oh, geez, this'll take a while..." He says, looking over the numerous defenses the computer systems have.

"I'll get to work on getting the fields off line. You all can leave me here. I'll give you advice and support as I can from the computer system." He says as he pulls up a seat to the computer console.

Suru'Kai overheard that SICON 12 had been killed over the active Audio link in his helmet. He wasn't as interested in her death more as to How she died.
"How can something cause that much damage?" Suru'Kai thought to himself as he surveyed the area. "Computer: can you tell us what subject 3792304 is? I speak on behalf of everyone that we'd feel more comfortable knowing what we're going up against."
Suru'Kai was confused also at a strange set of new system options that had appeared on his Heads Up Display after Quanta had repaired them.
"Drtdvd... Tddtuzr... Teycue... Uzrvyt... What do these do?" He thought to himself...

[Arratra]

"Her holotag will be on her body," Arratra said with a sigh, then paused.
"Scan the body," he said urgently, "Is the Element X still in her? If not, then we're in really deep."

Quanta swiveled his head towards Suru'Kai. "Any vibration or sufficiently exert concussive force suffices to liquify internal organs. Microwave emissions are also a possibility as they are designed to cause excessive heat within a victim, usually however the subject does not maintain structural integrity for very long, usually exploding a second later post impact."

Quantas analysis would offer little solace. If something could indeed induce microwaves or concussive force of such magnitude so as to liquify organic beings it was indeed distressful.

"Security override requested. Disable defensive field systems for a brief period, re-activate upon our entry. If something is in here that deemed it necessary to initiate the lock-down procedures, I sure as hell do not want it getting out or sneaking behind us. "

He slid his actuator arms back into himself, the arms folding into the back plates of his armored exterior. He was ready, covering his head with a helmet-like system that included a pair of flexible ears and a fold-over face-plate.

“I regret to info you that I do not have access to such systems and can only be manually overridden from inside the Monolith temporal computing core. The only other way to shut down the field is to cut off its power supply or remove the threat itself. Is there anything else I can help you with?” As it spoke the doors nearby that led deeper into the complex opened to an empty hall way, the hall way clean aside a few scratch marks on parasteel the floor. The walls had several dead computer interfaces, with another door leading even deeper into the complex.

The schematics of the facility showed that the Monolith computer core was three levels down. Surveillance systems where out all over the floor with the exceptions of a few isolated cameras and thermal sensors, these systems showed that the state of this floor was very different from the one they where currently on, it seemed like a full scale war had gone on in this section recently as it could be seen that walls where still repairing themselves in some far corners of the surveillance system's view. Though there was a clear line where it appeared that was no damage had occurred at all presumably the inertial field boundary, along with the body of a SCION sitting just outside the boundary. It was dead, that was for sure, body twisted at odd angles dried blood caked around every orifice…

"Hmm, You lot will have to go in and cut the power if we need access to the Monolith computer. Computer, plot the fastest route down to the power source."

[Arratra]

Arratra had been suppressing his emotion, but now it burst loose; a blast of raw force smashed open a door that had malfunctioned, and not opened. The fragments of the door went flying along the corridor and embedded themselves in the walls.
Arratra put the rifle across his back, but hardly bothered to lock it down. He didn't bother to draw another weapon, instead stalking down the corridor with his entire body shimmering with barely-suppressed psionic force. Waves of it rolled off his form; anything, or anyone, that tried to touch him would be violently repelled. He was even leaving footprints in the floor.

<Shield Activated.>

Suru’Kai saw what Arratra was going to do a split second before it happened and instinctively raised his suits shielding. Despite the energy blast being just as strong: if not stronger than the one Suru’Kai was thrown by before: his armours Nano-Shield easily absorbed and deflected the blast: distorting in a large cyan ripple about 3 inches around his body with a loud hollow gong like sound a lot like a large church bell being struck with a Sledge Hammer.
(OOC: My fellow RPers that have watched Doctor Who and heard the Cloister Bell know what it sounds like.)

“My shields weren’t supposed to be that strong…” Suru’Kai muttered to himself and looking at his armour: confused at how his Shields had more than tripled in power, but not noticing that that his armour had diverted all of its spare power to them: resulting in almost all of his weapons going offline to support it…

"I see you've discovered the suits new ERSP matrix." Quanta stated, smirking as his projected armor flared into existence as a bright, digital like, orange colored extra suit of armor around his entire body, violently slapping aside Arratras psionic outburst to create a small hole in the wall next to him.

It was simpler to re-direct energy than absorb it in order to make ones shields last longer.

"It stands for Emergency Redundant Systems Prioritizing matrix." He approached Suru, placing his hand on his shoulder and his HUD would display a simple explanation via holographic audio-mechanic description. "The ERSP matrix, a simple system you have been granted, but a powerful one.

If any system of your new suits systems are under particular duress, such as your shields, essential power from what systems are currently unused gets diverted to maintain them and such action also releases the protective limiter lids on your shield emitters.

Be warned however due to the relative low-capacitance of your shield systems, continued use of diverted power to one system will, while significantly boost its power, burn it out completely if the power is not re-diverted within 30 seconds."

Releasing his hold on Suru's shoulder he stretched out his arms and followed the rather angry Arratra down the corridor. "Please do not destroy everything, we might need a few things operational down here but mind you, if you find whoever did this, I wont get in your way."

(OOC* the force was more focussed than the previous outburst, being sent in only one direction. So we'll say they were standing on the periphery of the blast, and, as such, didn't take it full-on... which is lucky)
Arratra glanced back at the two, and nodded.
"I'll try," he said, his voice distorted by the energy rolling off his form, "I can't guarantee anything when I'm in this state, but I will try."

He raised his shoulders, shrugging. "Fair enough, just try not to throw me onto the nearest possible bit of pointy debris and I'll be happy." With that he followed him, running all of his passive and active sensor suites at once.

Suru’Kai gave an unseen grimace under his armour upon noticing this new system.
“I guess I’ll have to get used to it.” He said as he scanned for any other modifications that Quanta had made: Scanning every system for any changes from its stored memory.
<The second I get back to Ra: I’m getting this thing fixed…> He thought to himself as he noticed that Quanta had disassembled a good portion of his less used systems: Including his TDR Shield in his emergency systems.

A pounded was heard, and then a crack, one of the meshes that protected the air filtration system had been loosened by the dragon’s rampage through the corridor. A scaled foot kicked the mesh of the wall; it was apparent that an ebony dragon that had kicked off the mesh as the dragon crawled out of the air duct. It appeared unharmed with the exception of a few rips to his lab coat. Though once he began to walk it easily identifiable that his arm had is injured. One thing that was odd was that the lab coat was not white, but a multitude of shifting colors. The color pattern was changing in real time, the second thing that this brought attention to was the major oddity of this section and what appeared in most of the halls from then on. The walls where covered in artistic panoramic images that appeared to have been painted on the surface. Most of them where images of wastelands, though the one near the mesh that the dragon had crawled out of was that of a ruined city, it appeared to have been destroyed by some horrific war, the image was many shades of black and grey with black and gray overcast clouds though the clouds in the background seemed to be letting some sunlight through…

"Hold it fight there," Arratra said, holding up his hand; the bolt of energy that flew from his hand was harmless; it bounced around the corridor wildly, several times bouncing off one of the people, including Arratra himself, before dissipating completely. By Arratra's consternated expression, it was clear that he had intended for something even less than that; in all likelihood the distinctive glow around the hands that was often seen with Psykers.
"That wasn't what I had in mind..." he said, before taking a deep breath. The force that had been rolling off his form faded away. However, anyone able to sense psionic induviduals (known colloquially as Psykers by the Dark Core and the Draconic Expanse), would instantly be able to tell that the energies were simmering just below the surface, like a charged laser pistol, ready to be flung out at any time.

"Not the intended affect I presume?"

Quanta chuckled.

Blinking a few times to get rid of the after-flash of Arratras annoying little flash-bang energy grenade.

"Next time, please exercise more caution, I do not want to end up inside a bio-matter wall the next time you fail to concentrate. But if you do fail, give me a warning so I can hunker down please."

He shook his head, eying the murals on the walls, particularly the one of the devastated city for a moment, storing it's exact likeness mnemonically.

Stepping next to him he switched to bio-metric sensors, analyzing the smartly-dressed dragon for any biological anomalies. Finding little out of the ordinary, except a number of pulpy organic masses within his cerebral matter, quite possible due to unnatural genetic mutation, cancerous growths were also possible.

"Are you a member of this facility's staff?" Quanta asked, his eyes glowing slightly, tail curling, ears twitching.

“Put your arm away…” The Ebony dragon snarled at the dragon behind them, while both where dragons they appeared to be different subspecies with slightly different features. “I’ll answer you first as you are the one that didn’t try to let up the room in a foolish loss of control over ones abilities…” He said looking back at Quanta, “Yes I’m part of the facilities staff I worked in the Kinetics lab, I was one of the technicians that tested the Psionic sensor array and how it linked with the subjects. Chances are I’m breaking about forty different laws at this moment but you are here and it seemed you came from outside, seeing as you’re not injured and or crazy. Meaning that you where sent here” He said with a shrug, “Not that it matters anyway we finished the goal of this project just under the wire so I’m guessing you’re here to pick up the completed unit for which you will need a Red Rakai whom I watched get dragged that direction…” He said pointing behind him.

“What a tic…” He said looking back, “I’m guessing you’re a SCION then because your hand has a problem with glowing…there where more of your kind here, not anymore though.” He said before he grabbed his head for a moment, as he had a migraine and someone had shined a flashlight in his eyes. “Damn it…” He said to himself quietly before limping again going the way that the others had came from, he seemed intent on leaving. Farther analysis of the Bio scans would show that the Tumors where centered directly over his visual cortex. He could very well being seeing things that where not even there...

"SCION 12," Arratra said, his tone tight. "That was her codename," he continued, "I'm breaking top-level classification by saying this, but her name was Trianna..."
He was silent for several moments, then said, "What happened here, anyway? I keep getting Ghosts, but there are so many they keep blending together and are just getting confusing."

Suru'Kai glared at the dragon under his visor, silently preparing to deploy his blades and Shoulder cannons if the Dragon tried anything sudden, stupid or both.
"First of all: What do you know of the Experimentations. And Secondly: What took the Rakai, Where did they take him and Why?"
Suru'Kai spat out the word "Experimentations" Like it was some noxious poison. It was blatantly clear that he was not in the mood for sweettalking anymore.

Darien listens on the radio as he continues focusing on plotting the fastest route. "Hmm, this is taking longer then expected."

Raising my arm in hindrance I blocked the scientist off. My eyes flashing a brief bright red, gathering data on his vital-signs. The tumorous growths weren't looking good and appeared to be affecting his optical nerves and if his anatomy made any sense, the 9 standard visual nuclei of his optical cortex. He might very well be delusional but not so in a psychologically unstable manner.

"You cannot leave yet good sir. "

I spoke in a most respectful manner.

"We need to know what happened here, as by any definition the research carried out here is illegal. Firstly though, are there other survivors? Why was the facilities main AI taken offline? We need answers and we need them quickly."


Bracing myself, I had to look up at the dragon, he was good few feet taller than me. It was sometimes annoying being seen as something of a runt, even though I was far from that. Balancing on the balls of my feet, my tail swaying around excitedly, this was after all our first and only real clue as to what happened down here and I for one was eager to discover what sort of dirty secrets the facility might have.

The fact that some dirty group of thieves had made off with minute data on Atinian condensed particle beam weaponry was still on my mind, but not as pressing at the moment.
