How to Build a PC

I often get asked how you build a PC. For a lot of us it's almost second nature, but there are even more people that want to but just don't know how or are afraid of it.

Ryan Shrout over at PC Perspective put together a nice video tutorial on how to do just that. He goes through the hardware setup, showing you things like how to install the RAM, the heatsink, etc. This is worth watching if you're looking to take the plunge and build your own new PC.

Alot of people panic when trying to put RAM or a PCI based piece of hardware because they're afraid to put the pressure on it that you need to get it to lock into place. I know my mom was about to rip my throat out when I was putting a new Graphics card in. xD

Ohh, if only I had the money and space to do that, I would be one happy furry. Also I'd have to think about dual booting 7 and XP, because I have a number of games notorious for having issues on Windows 7.

I knew most of this stuff already, but it's always good to have a little refresher course now and then. Just had to rebuild my own PC too, and must say it was helpful to see that stuff again. I shared that link since it seemed like something that'd be useful, and I'm glad a couple of you thought it was.
