I thought that I would share this wonderful Firefox Extension called Xmarks with you all. What Xmarks does is pretty simple, it allows you to keep a copy of your bookmarks and passwords securely stores in the cloud. You install the extension, then create a new account for Xmarks. It'll then ask you if you want to keep your passwords or not. If you choose to have Xmarks store your passwords then you'll be asked to provide a PIN which can contain both numbers and letters. Think of this as a second password just to be safe.
It only takes a couple of minutes to setup, and once it's done, every time you close Firefox it will synchronize your data with the Xmarks site. If you want to move to another computer, just install Xmarks on that PC and then login to Xmarks and you'll be able to either merge your bookmarks with the ones already on the computer or pull down the ones you previously saved.
I love this because I just reformatted my PC, and the one thing I always forget to back up is bookmarks. Since I had Xmarks installed, I didn't have to worry about it, they all just came back once I logged back in.
Very handy.![]()
