The Numberless OOC Thread

Right, I thought I'd start the OOC thread ready for when the RP itself starts (Probably over the next couple days)

People who have given me either their character sheets or a detailed description of what their character will be are;
Arratra, Brome, Buzz, Daryn, Dusty, Jett, Reaper, Samantha and Shade.

For those of you who have finished your characters, please put up part of your CP in this thread. All you need is Name and Physical Description (species, height, weight etc), although you can if you choose include Rank, Crime, and general attitude (Violent, Laid back etc).

The RP will start with all your characters being loaded onto a high security prison truck (With a few exceptions that have already been sorted out) to be taken to the Facility. You may have encountered one another in prison and so already know certain characters, or you may be seeing them for the first time. I will happily accept characters having become friends (Or enemies...) in prison before the RP starts, but please could both RPers PM me if they would like that to be the case.

Finally, when the RP does start, no God-modding please. You are all experienced players so I'm sure I don't really need to be saying this, but I will anyway; I have a plan with all this. It has been thought through, and things are under control. I do not need someone being Superman's replacement, and nor do the other RPers. You can certainly attempt anything, I'm not trying to stop you being creative. However, be logical. If you're in chains, the chains will probably be tough. If you're in a prison yard, there will probably be guards. Simple things like that.

Description: Ivona is a is anthropomorhic boarder collie with brown fur covering most of her body. From under her muzzle running down her chest to the under side of her tail is covered in white fur. This white fur has been dyed in black in single band five inchs thick across her chest just below her neck. On this band of black dyed fur some of the fur has been left its original white color to show a single complex design.

It'll be starting quite soon, so you won't have that long to make a character. However, if worst comes to worst and you miss the start, there will be opportunities later for new characters to join.

I didn't go into great detail about it because I didn't want to bore people, but I'm quite specific in my head how everything is :p )

Looks: She wouldn't last long in prison. She's 5' 6", slender – but not muscled at all. She has slightly curly dark orange hair that drops down to her mid-back. She also keeps her fur extremely clean, it makes her stand out a bit more than most in prison.

Looks: Puk is a large sized Polar Bear who stands upright. He has black leather straps around his right thigh and is otherwise unremarkable. His skin, if it is ever seen, is characteristically more purple than the normal black or dull gray. He has coal colored eyes as well as his nose. His long nails are jet black.

Personality: Puk is ruthless and a raging fighter similar to a berserker or a pugulist, especially when he is on heroine. He has a hard time discerning targets when high and usually just thrashes about. When he is not on the influence he is docile and kind hearted and will usually find one person to be close with in a group.

Bio: He found the dealer, made his first purchase, and of course he got caught. He got off with a warning...it was back to the streets for him. He started using...and selling the stuff himself, only...he never really intended to get addicted, but it was too late. The authorities could let him go no longer. His trespasses, blatant as they were, could no longer be overlooked by the government. He was arrested and sent to a temporary cell. He looked around, made small talk with the collie but otherwise kept to himself. He pulled at the metal chains at his wrists but could not break free. He wanted Heroine...but he could handle being without...for now. One word burned on his mind greater than his addiction: Escape, to live, just escape! An into the truck he went.

Crime: Political activism (falsely accused)
Personality: Generally gentle, despite (or more likely because of) his former profession, he has a hot temper, although he never allows it to run away with him. Very stoic and quiet under most circumstances. Will, however, speak out for the good of the group (whoever that may be), most often upon spotting flaws in a superior's plans or spotting danger. Always quick to fortify a position if at all possible.

Looks: A clean cut military man. Everything from the nearly trimmed uniform to the crew cut hair cut screams soldier. His eye's are a very biting green, so much so people say he's looking past them. He stands at 6 foot 1 inch and weighs 190 pounds. His duty uniform for prisoner consists of of gray, white, and black camo dress with a light ballistic vest (guns on prisoners simply don't happen, its more to protect from knives and shanks) knee pads, a 9mm Glock handgun on his hip, a Kevlar helmet with goggles, and a radio on his shoulder. Stowed in case of emergency in the truck is his Mp10 SMG.

Personality: He is very introverted. When he has to engage in talk its terse, and to the point. Something his superiors liked. His specific line of work makes trusting people dangerous, so he's more inclined to find the answers to questions himself. Despite his seemingly cold exterior he doesn't care about those close to him. When on a mission however, the objective is always first. In his mind, the Ends Justify the Means.

Bio: Like many others the bureaucratic jobs offered to the offspring of most rank threes bored him. Rather then waste his time overseeing some factory somewhere he chose to join the Military Police. As an officer his tendency towards investigation and solitude made him a natural pick for under-cover investigations.

After an incident that led to the death of three other officers who attempted to perform an arrest based on bad intel he provided he became angry on top of his other symptoms. After The Force ran him through a series of psych exams they deemed him unfit for another investigation and had him transferred to the facility, where he now escorts shipments to and from the city.

Looks: Stands at a full 7', strong build of a metal worker. the kind of build that you'd be hard pressed to find an ounce of fat on him. his fur is a snow white with black stripes across his body. the stripes on his right side have been altered, dyed a white for a blank slate and 'redrawn' in an elaborate Tribal pattern spanning most of the top of his right arm, and about eighty percent of his back, coming over onto his chest and partially up his neck as well as some of his right leg and the end of his tail is altered with a similar pattern, all black to match his stripes. his eyes are a deep royal blue

Name: Cain Jackson

Age: 29

Race: Caucasian Human

Gender: Male

Looks: Cain was not especially buff. He's a 5'9" brown-haired Caucasian male. He didn't do much weight lifting, but he did maintain good endurance by swimming a good distance each day. As such, he's not super-buff, but he is skinny and lacks much fat (Which may be a bad thing in the desert). His skin is untanned, he spent most of his time indoors.

Rank, job and crime: He doesn't say, but when asked he smirks and changes the subject.

Very glad you think so, I'm quite excited too. Everyone here is very experienced, so I'm not worried it'll fall apart, which I had been when I was first coming up with some of the ideas for the RP.

XD Dusty's spoiler is right, at least I hope it is. I've planned quite a lot for this, I have a list of NPCs, their motives, who in the group they might like/want to help/want to kill etc, and also have been considering the world itself. It all depends on how you lot choose to play it, but I'm trying to be as flexible as possible; if you do it, so long as it's logical and possible, I hope to be ready to work with it and allow any of you to change the course of the RP as a whole. There are lots of ways you can take it, and it'll be up to you lot to find those ways out ^^

As soon as I have the last CP I will send out a PM to each of you, telling you any information your character knows which might come in handy, recent events that are important to them (Not personal events, but events in Stalwart, such as (And I'm completely making this one up just now) 'a bank in the middle of the city exploded a week ago' or something) and contacts they might have, all of whom you will be able to visit, if you can convince the rest of the group (And yourselves) that they are trustworthy...

I'll send the fabled 'info packs' to everyone who has finished a character (I'm waiting on 2 more, but everyone else can do intro posts first, and then they should have finished by the time anything actually happens) in the next hour or so (Bearing in mind I have to write them all individually! That's commitment!) and then make the first RP post.

You do NOT need to memorise the following shoddily drawn map. However, everyone will know a few locations on it, so you will need to refer to it after you get your info PM;



Every character will know that 3 is the Facility, 8 is the Prison and 9 is the Tower. Other than that, each location is specialised knowledge. The shade of red indicates the Rank that usually goes there. Lightest = 5, darkest = 3/2.

Race: dragonfox

Looks: Well built athletic body. knees down, elbows down, tail, wings, and top of muzzle are scaled and the rest is furred. jet black all the way over. Blue eyes, slit pupils.

Personality: Shade is a bright, vibrant personality, choosing to make the best of what he has. He tries to stay on the right side of the law, but his bisexuality eventually did him in. He cares deeply for anyone he meets and tries to be friendly to most, but he knows that it is necessary to have a wall between others and himself.

Bio: Shade was the offspring of a Rank 3 fox and a Rank 5 dragonness, which got his overly hormonal father arrested and his mother took him underground for a while to let things blow over. He was raised to push himself for whatever he wanted and for that fact, he has managed to keep his job in a small factory for a long time, but his bisexuality was discovered after a relationship with a fellow worker, who unfortunately was a hermaphrodite.
Undeterred by the law, Shade eventually found his way to a rather illegal job, becoming a part time dancer at an underground gay strip club. The law eventually discovered the club and raided it, arresting anyone inside.

Thanks Brome. And I was hoping to start the RP tonight, but I have work in 8 hours, and probably need... what's that thing... ah, right, sleep. Yes, I may need sleep before then. Fortunately, it's a short day, so in exactly 15 hours I should be able to start the RP properly! Hurray!

I was originally going to have a 'character' in this, but with so many of you I'm downgrading my guy to NPC. He will tag along for a while, but feel free to get rid of him whenever (And by whatever means you feel like)

Name: Nowen Umber
Age: 26
Race: Alsatian
Sex: Male
Looks: 5'7", scrawny and thin, Nowen is the epitome of poor Rank 5s. He appears malnourished and his fur is thin. However, he is not feeble, being able to move quickly and more athletically than his appearance indicates.
Personality: Nowen is usually quietly confident among his superiors, and friendly and energetic among fellow Rank 5s. He gives off an air of being privy to secrets.

Also, I will be using Franklin West, a 22 year old cat who is a security guard on the prison truck. However, he is just an NPC and will likely disappear after a few posts (Unless any of you have other plans...)

Few things I quickly want to say;

The RP will not be constant gunning and fighting. You will likely need help to escape the city. This is most readily available in your contacts. You each have at least one contact, and every one of these can be useful is approached properly. However, even if they are your contact, they may not react to you best. It may be beneficial for them to interact with other team members, or for you to lie completely. The RP will also not be about just bribing or threatening NPCs. Each has their own motives, likes and dislikes, and I can tell you that most people do not like being threatened, and law abiding folk generally don't accept bribes (Besides, what have you got to give?) so approach things logically and work together to find the best solutions. That is, if you trust one another...

Death is possible in this RP. It will not always be a possibility (Like you won't have a heart attack after your first post) but if you go somewhere dangerous or someone endangers the team with a stupid action, I will officially 'turn on' death. During this time,not only can your character be killed by NPCs, but traitors among the group can also kill you. This can be assassination style (In which case PM me with what you do, (eg: 'I stab them in their sleep'. If it makes sense and you can do it, you might get away with it. Otherwise, you may be revealed to the group. Ricky business!) or something done in open RP, like shooting them in the face. However, I imagine the rest of the group may find such actions a little suspicious, and would advise against them

Oh, and finally, we'll probably be getting a better map of Stalwart soon courtesy of Samantha Arrow. Thanks SA!
