Oh for the love of... She stopped her thought dead as she opened her eyes locking eyes with the polar bear. He was bigger than her, but she was intimidated. Frankly she was unhappy because not being able to sleep and because of being muzzled and unable to tell them all to shut the hell up. With her methods of communication limited she had to resort to a more primal method of communication. Shameful I have to do this but its not like I can will them shut up.
She moved her head to look at the polar bear it wasn't like the others a short second or two glance. This time she held the stare, she had been staring at him for all of five seconds as the collie suddenly moved...a total of one centimeter. But it was enough though, to make every chain connected to her strain to hold her back. What was a cold stare turn into a hellish demonic death glare at the polar bear. Ever visible part of her radiated one thing. Shut up...

Re: The Numberless
The dragon, glanced at Puk, and rolled his eyes. He twitched at his bindings, but all he got for the effort was a poke in the ribs from the same bindings. Grumbling to himself, he kicked out at a raised bolt on the floor, but only succeeded in tripping himself; he nearly sat down there and then, his arms jerked above his head by the chain that attached his cuffs to the ceiling.
He had, however, learned something valuable.
The truck had a critical design flaw. In fact, they had it many times over.
The chains were too long. There was enough slack in them to allow the prisoners to hold their hands in a sort of clasped position either in front or behind them.
Not a problem, if you bound the prisoners' hands behind their backs, where it was difficult to get leverage anyway.
But only a few of the apparently more violent prisoners were bound that way. And having enough play to hold your hands in a clasped position in front of you, also meant you could wrap the chain around someone's neck if you held the bound hands at chest height.
And all of the guards, except, perhaps the most nervous of them, seemed to have not noticed; as far as they were concerned, this was standard proceedure. And even if a few of the prisoners killed each other, it just saved them the trouble of feeding and housing them, even if it did mean a lot of paperwork.
Dull, boring work, but better than standing around, watching a prisoner who was too bound up to do much of anything.
Tedium made people, even military personnel or guards like these guys, get sloppy.
And on a battlefield, sloppiness gets you killed.
Heh, looks like a series of mistakes is going to get these guys killed someday, the dragon thought, a smile twitching his lip before he stopped.
After a moment, he shrugged. Ah, hell. They're tossing me in the Facility for crossing the street for a coffee. Guess half the guys rounded up on that street were innocent, too. Guess this is how those Rank Ones view us Fours and Fivers. Street trash. Ah, Gometh. What would the Sarge say if she found out I'd been arrested for crossing the street? "Tough luck, boot, but that's the way this city works!" Well, yeah, that sums it up nicely. She never really liked me, I guess; She's never liked the Fivers. Didn't help that I was born one, but got promoted.
Gometh pulled himself back to his feet chin-up style; the chain groaned in protest, and Gometh chalked up another design flaw.
Whoever built this thing really skimped on the metals, Gometh thought, the ghost of a grim smile managing to form despite the muzzle, A good jerk, and I could snap this easy. I'm not asking whoever built this thing to make me a car... Ah, who am I kidding? I'll be lucky to be driving at all in the future, let alone in something that isn't stolen, or... wait.
He looked closer at the nervous guard. That he was so nervous, despite being out of reach of all of the prisoners, seemed a little off.
Two possible scenarios, Gometh thought, He's going to gun everyone down, which I doubt is likely, or he's going to break us out... another unlikely scenario, but a bit more plausible than the other.
A moment's pause in this train of thought.
He's nuts.

Re: The Numberless
On hearing Ryan's response, Nowen smiled at the bird. "I do apologise, I'm usually a good judge of these sorts of things, but then again..." he looked at the dragon in time to see his finger gesture and movements, but said nothing and returned his gaze to Ryan, continuing quietly with a sly tooth-filled smile ".. things are changing aren't they? The Facility is no longer the last stop. For us... well, it might not even be the first"
In the front of the truck, the tiger leaned over to Garren, snarling "As soon as this truck stops, someone is gonna get slaughtered. Wanna guess who?"
Oblivious to the other actions within the group, the otter guard only saw the Collie's sudden pulling on her chains. He flinched slightly and stepped back, bringing his rifle up to her neck. "I don't think so" he breathed, wide eyed. Meanwhile, Franklin craned again to see outside the truck's windscreen. Wide-eyed, he reaffirmed his grip on his rifle, and sat down tensely. Breathing out slowly, he closed his eyes.

Re: The Numberless
Garren noted that they were passing from the city proper in the wasteland that surrounded the facility and there was no other vehicle in sight. Anyone watching him would have noticed that he sat straight up in his seat, his hand passing over his seatbelt. His eyes drifted to the large drainage canal on either side of the rode. Perfect. His eyes shift to Franklin who we saw was tensed and waiting. The tiger guard however, was still fuming about the prisoners. "As soon as this truck stops, someone is gonna get slaughtered. Wanna guess who?" he snarled at Garren.
With one last sweep of the dash and road ahead Garren responded, "You." Before the Tiger could process what just happened Garren swung the wheel to the right. The screech of torn metal could be heard as the massive bulk of the truck ripped through the puny aluminum guard rail. As the truck flew through the air at the concrete wall of the canal, Garren exhaled, completely emptying his lungs, to lessen the impact's damage. He had also brought to truck off the road at an angle so that the Tiger's side of the cab would strike first, most likely crushing him.
With a mighty crunch the truck impacted the concrete wall, instantly the windshield shattered as the metal around it deformed so severely it couldn't hold its shape. The dashboard on the tiger's side smashed into his stomach area pinning him in his seat. Garren's vision was obstructed by the sudden appearance of the airbag which deployed faster then the blink of an eye. As the impact continued the armored prisoner cabin's inertia carried it up and over the lighter crew cabin, causing the entire truck to flip before sliding down the wall and coming to rest against the floor of the drainage canal.
Garrens vision swam as he felt a strange tingling sensation down the back of his neck. The airbag had saved him from the steering column but the impact was still enough severely strain his spinal column and give him a concussion. As tendrils of black seeped into the corners of his vision he slowly turned to look at the Tiger Guard next to him, the dashboard had cracked all of his ribs during the impact. He turned to Garren, coughing up blood. "You.... You traitorous son of a *****," he gasped between spurts of pain. Garren chuckled slightly as his vision began to blank. Let hope Puk keeps his end of the bargain....

Re: The Numberless
The back of the truck shook massively, and as it wrenched through the metal railing the otter stumbled, and then was thrown like a rag-doll to the floor as the truck impacted with the concrete wall, his rifle spinning away uselessly. Franklin also fell to the floor heavily, but he had been prepared and, when the major impact came, fell on his side in a tense ball. In many ways, many of the prisoners fared better, though not by much. Nowen's chains held, and kept him from too much damage, yet at the same time yanked on his arms, causing shooting pain along his joints and drawing blood from his raw wrists. His head flailed in the crash, and he growled loudly at the sudden pain in his neck. His knees buckled as the truck came to a stop, and he almost collapsed, kept upright only by the chains. He opened his eyes to find himself almost blinded by tears and blurred vision, in pain but alive.
The two guards, protected somewhat by body armour and helmets yet still appearing concussed, scrawled around on the truck's side that now served as the floor. The otter, much worse off and clasping his side, was feebly attempting to get purchase, using the white tiger to try and pull himself into a standing position. One of his legs was bent unnaturally. The cat, Franklin, however, was doing something quite different. He almost leapt at one of the rifles lying next to him, twisted and aimed at his otter colleague. He fired three shots, and the otter's head burst open, spraying the nearby prisoners with brain matter. He fell down, twitching and silent.

Re: The Numberless
As the truck flipped for the first time the collie was glad she was tied up tight as she was tossed about. Again only moving a single centimeter she was unharmed in anyway. Even though that she was unharmed it was still jarring taking her a moment to recover from the crash. Well this is all fine and dandy but i'm still tied up. She thought looking around, cold and analytical. It was then she realized that she her muzzle had slacked a little bit allowing her to move her mouth, albeit a only a small amount she was able to work her jaw. She enjoyed that small pleasure, and it was enough she hoped to allow her to speak. The first thing to come to her was reasonable. She figured that she would be able to get the message across. For the first time people heard her speak, albeit muffled. "Someone get this damn muzzle off of me!!!" It came out very muffled, but it was understandable.
It was then she saw the otters head explode, she smiled at that though she saw the gore head her way. Little respect as to where your parts land would be in order...

Re: The Numberless
Before the crash, the vixen was about to snap on the other prisoners. They were pissing one another off and probably the guards in the process. If they were going to survive wherever they were going, they need to make friends, not enemies.
But, before the vixen could do anything hell broke loose in an instant. She was momentarily stunned by the forces around her, but when she could focus again there was blood everywhere and the truck was thoroughly crashed. With her background in the medical field, she noted most of the blood pattern didn't match what should happen in a crash like this. Judging by the brain matter it was a bullet to the head.
It was finally too much for the little fox, she started to whimper and whine.

Cain Brings his head into his arms for protection during the crash. He Gets jostled around as his inertia separates himself from the car seat, causing his handcuff chains to break apart, freeing up his hands and doing a number on his wrists in the process. When the car comes to a rest, He lifts his head just in time to see the otter get killed by his colleague. .oO(Well, our rescuers have men on the inside. This'll make things considerably easier...)
He sits up and feels a sharp pain in his side. He gasps and swears under his breath. .oO(Ribs bruised, possibly fractured. Need to take things slow...) He slowly sits up into a sitting position and glances back at the collie. He looks at the muzzle and slowly pulls himself over to her, keeping one hand on his side. He Goes and releases the straps holding the muzzle on the collie, allowing her mouth to move freely. He quickly removes his hand and flops onto the bench next to her (Albeit on the side of it, as the truck is sideways), holding his side and taking slow, painful breaths.

Re: The Numberless
The initial impact had sent Shade into another bout of shock, but the pain afterwards pulled him out quickly. His scales had kept his wrists from being rubbed raw, but they had been wrenched pretty hard and his right arm felt dislocated. A sharp throbbing in the back of his head registered that he might have banged his head rather hard.
Speech was a few moments in coming, but before he said anything his eyes lit upon the now deceased otter, "OH MY GOD!!" were the first words that escaped the dragonfox's mouth as his eyes widened. Then his ears picked up the sound of the tiger in the front seat. He strained to see the dieing feline, then turned to Franklin, "Hey, hey, that guy up there sounds like he's in bad shape, shouldn't we...errr...," his eyes drifted to the otter's body, reminding him that it seemed like the tiger's death was part of the plan.
Taking a deep shuddering breath, Shade slapped on one of his seductive smiles, "Listen, Mr. Kitty, ya mind helping the rest of us out of these chains?"

Re: The Numberless
The vixen rubbed her wrists where they were freed from the cuffs. "I'm Sasha..." She started going to the various prisoners and tried to diagnose them all. Many probably suffered whiplash, some had bruised bones but no-one had anything serious(unless the GM or player wants it to be otherwise).
Finally she got the guard who had just called someone and SOB. He was in pretty bad shape, and would probably bleed out soon. Despite the fact this man was not a prisoner, in fact someone wanting to put them in prison, Sasha still felt the obligation to help him anyway. She started searching the truck for a first aid kit, checking the most likely places first - under the seats, in the glove-box, and if the truck was big enough up above the windshield.

Re: The Numberless
Nowen rolled his head slowly, wincing at the stiff pain. Franklin wordlessly scrambled over to him, eyes darting to Garren and the dying tiger, and pulled out his own key. It took several attempts, as the cat's hands were shaking, but eventually Nowen was freed, and slumped down breathing heavily.
"The idea," he said through gritted teeth, before composing himself and smiling slightly, though clearly still in pain "was that we would swerve off a road, not the top of a building"
Franklin looked around nervously, particularly at those prisoners who had become freed in the crash. "Who d'you want?" he whispered to Nowen, who considered it.
"The bird and the vixen, but they're already out. The, ah... " he gestured towards Shade "that one. The polar bear, too, he's gotta be a Fiver. Leave the collie," he said this to Cain "She looks more trouble than she's worth. The dragon, too, might be worth leaving behind" At this, Franklin looked anywhere but at the Dragon and Collie, and shuffled over the free Shade. Nowen leaned over slightly, propping himself on one arm, to stare at Mako. "What about you, tiger? Are you a fiver?"
((If anyone hasn't responded to the crash yet, feel free to go 'back in time' slightly, so you can write your reaction to the crash. I know it's not usually done in RPs like this, but for such an obvious event it won't be confusing, so feel free))

Aberration
Re: The Numberless
Puk wasn't expecting it to happen like this. He thought it would all be over when he saw the terrain suddenly go upside down, but he knew a collision would not be the worst thing for his body. He got knocked around probably more than the other prisoners because of how loosely he was chained. His shoulder crashed into the seat behind him, but miraculously did not shatter. He howled in pain, but did not change his expression.
He watched as the collie was unmuzzled. Red blood from the point-blank shot splattered on his white coat. As soon as he was freed he lifted up the seat his pack was stowed under and quickly grabbed it. "Oh, gah! This shoulder hurts..." he grumbled lightly, reached into his pack, and pulled out a needle with a red fluid to be injected. He tightened the leather straps on his legs to draw the muscles together and impaled the needle into his thick thigh. He made a face as he emptied the red fluid into his skin and the rest of the prisoners could see his muscles getting pumped.
Satisfied he turned to the collie and started to release her from her chains. As he was freeing her, he aimed his voice toward Nowen, though he did not stop looking at or stop freeing the collie. "No one gets left behind. I am relieving you of your command." He said this, letting his bulk and strength stand for intimidation and authority. "We each have skills we will need to get out of this." He pointed to Garren, "Get your wind back and help us back here after you finish the job with the tiger and put him in the driver's seat." Puk's eyes scanned the faces of each of the prisoners. He cleared his throat, "Each of you, it's your lucky day. It's rare that prisoners get taken toward the facilities on a day of a planned rebellion. You are bearing witness to an event unfolding which is the byproduct of much planning. Garren and I were both in on this. He works for them, but he's one of us! He had been ready to rebel for a long while, and when he saw his old friend was getting taken in I begged him to take action."
He hoped everyone would understand without much more explanation. "We were all in on it," he frowned, "except you..." He bared his claws and faced Franklin. "You were not part of this, who are you!" Puk looked ready to swipe.

Re: The Numberless
The Collie fell to what side of the armored truck was down. As she got up joints popped as she stood up, she was now testing her newly regained full range of motions. "I dear say...thats feels much better..." Something was off with the collie, voice and eye personalities didn't match up. The Collie's voice carried education, her voice carried an air of sophistication, yet her eyes betrayed a barely constrained entity capable of extreme malice. She looked over up front and saw the tiger that was slowly dieing. "Well now..." She moved upfront for a moment taking a set of blue sunglasses. "Not going to be needing these where your heading..." She said putting them on, effectively hiding half of her personalty. "Bear...what ever your name is thank you for releasing me..." Her voice held some gratitude.
"You..." She point directly at Nowen, "I should gut you for thinking of leaving me tied in those chains." The mood of her voice had done a total 180, this voice, completely matched her eyes, they weren't just words said in anger, she meant every word she said and sound like she would enjoy doing it. "But..." He voice went back to "normal" "You are some how connected to how Released and thus I have no wish to kill you, but your thought to leave me here doesn't paint you in the best of light..." She said before turning to the Dragon, "Gotta get him out to...in any case introductions are in order, i'm Ivona Sheppard, Professor of Psychology at the Upper University."

He's obviously not against us, so how about we just calm the hell down and put our claws away? Because if we're going to talk about not being able to trust, personally your whole damn story makes about this much sense," he held his thumb and index finger close together, "now we better get going before the 1's get the law over here."
He then turned his attention to Ivona, "And sweetie, has anyone ever told you that you're a very scary person?"

Franklin screamed as the bear turned on him. He raised his rifle, mouth hanging open and shaking, and was about to fire when the dragonfox jumped in front of him. He found he could say nothing, and simply stood staring in fear at the large bear in front of him. Nowen appeared furious at the bears actions, and had been about to raise protest when the collie had been released. When she had threatened him he simply snarled, too angry to truly take in her words. When the bear continued, and called Franklin reckless, he was pulled from his shocked silence.
"Reckless?!? He's the only reason you're free, you ingrate. And I don't know why you're claiming knowledge of all this! I've been involved for as long as Franklin, and I've never heard of you! I..." He paused, and took a deep breath, as the bear began to talk to the collie. He beckoned over Franklin and the dragonfox, and whispered to them.

"Well Puk..." She said turning to the place where they had put his pack. She grabbed it, "Need this?" She asked, it was still wrapped in it's cloth, but it was evident that she had garnered the connection between the bear and the Pack. "I guess I would normally discourage drug use, but I guess I have no right to deprive you of this because of what you did for me." She held it out for him to grab. She was curious to see if her hypothesis was correct, she ignored the snarl that she got form Nowen. When she heard the halfbreed's comment she smiled....

Let's go ahead and get these other guys freed. Anyone know a good place to lay low once we get away? For that matter, does anyone know a way to get around without drawing attention?"

Mako Groaned as someone questioned him about...well, he wasn't sure. something about his rank from the sound of it. Something had bounced around and nailed him in the head at some point during the crash, he could feel a thin stream of blood dripping across his face at the moment. Across? that didn't seem right...he groaned against as he opened his eyes, the light that was filtering in seeming unusally harsh....and sideways...he as hanging from his right side shackles looking into the cabin. he twisted a little trying to readjust himself, feeling a open wound on his ankles where the cuffs had been to hold him down, they'd been loose enough that when the crash happened, they went to hell on his ankles.
He rubbed his head, finally getting the scratch that was now being drowned out by pain, it took a few more moments for him to realize...he'd just rubbed his head. he blinked and looked at his paw groggily. the metal where the bolts had held the cuff to the roof of the truck, where now twisted and mangled, along with the lock that would have released his paw, leaving a cuff wrapped around his arm, but his paw, free. at least he could use it now. he looked up at the one connected to the other hand, hoping that it to had recieved the same treatment. No such luck. that cuff was locked fast in place. ...fuck... "I...got one...for ya..." he growled out a response to the polar bear "Who...whose got...who's got the...bloodly keys?...help me out of these...fucking...shackles..." he slurred a few words at first, slowly regaining his senses.

Sasha jumped back as the bear came from no-where and killed the tiger. "You dumb f*** what are you doing! You should have waited to see what I was going to do." She backed away from him a bit, "I was going to stabilize him so he could tell his superiors that the car had some kind of malfunction which drove them off the cliff. He was the only survivor and he dumped the bodies into the canal so our 'rotting rank 6 corpses' would stick up the place."
She picked up a medkit that was lying on the floor, it was jammed shut though, maybe she could open it later. "Then we would have a lot more time to get somewhere safe, least till they figure out the crash wasn't serious enough to kill that many people... Once they found out his superiors would have killed him anyway, if you are that concerned with his death."
The vixen left the truck in a huff, and stood close to the hawk creature. He seemed kind and strong so he'd be a good choice to stay near.
