The Numberless

[Samantha Arrow]

"Oh my." Sasha blushed at what she saw in the terminal screen(the scantly clad lioness), and turned around so she wouldn't be invading his privacy. She acted embarrassed, but the truth was she considered doing work like that, a vixen like that could make a lot of money - even more than she could as a nurse probably, men get really lonely sometimes.

[Dusty]

Garren closed the COM connection before unlocking the door. Once outside he saw that the group had dispersed slight through out the building. He checked that Shepard hadn't gone missing before approaching Nowen. "We might have a window opening up in the Patrol schedule. Do you know how long until we can move?" he asked.

Paxlo let out a laugh, but there was a hint of nerves and confusion in it. He was still smiling, but his eyes were locked into Shade's and showed how worried he was at his friends comments.
"Drop that stupid look this instant. It might convince Old Gillighan that you're still 17 and he's paying for your education, but it doesn't get past me. Besides," he took a more serious tone "you do know you'd never really need to use it with me, right? Of course I'll help. Listen, I'm heading up to Maxie's now. I can pick you up and you can tell me everything on the way there. Is it just the two of you?"

[Shade Leshyr]

Shade smiled, it was good to see Paxlo, after all that had happened. However, he let out a nervous chuckle, "Err, no, there's actually nine of us here... that's going to be a problem isn't it?" A cold pit started to form in Shade's stomach as he waited for Paxlo's reply.

"Nine?!?" Paxlo puffed out his cheeks, and sat back frowning. "I suppose... I suppose it shouldn't be a problem. They can wait downstairs while you meet him. He has plenty of entertainment for guests, no one should get bored" He smiled "I'll take the party bus, they owe me for taking overtime anyway. Where should I pick you all up?"

[Shade Leshyr]

Shade rubbed his forehead indecisively. The quickest way to get to safety right now was to tell Paxlo exactly where they were, but Shade couldn't be sure how private this terminal was. Dr. Yotes had his hands full as it was without law enforcement breaking down his door. However, the longer they tried to stick to the shadows in broad daylight, the quicker they would be discovered.

Shade sighed, Dr. Yotes was a good man, helping these people, but at least he could deny any involvement. They just had to get out as soon as possible. Drawing in a deep breath, praying for whatever divinity existed to forgive him, Shade spoke, "We're hiding out at Dr. Yotes' hospital. The front door is under watch, but we have another exit. If you can meet us out behind his hospital and be ready for a grab and go, we should be in the clear."

Nowen frowned, and looked around. "We've spent too long here. We'll move out as soon as we're all together. What makes you sure the patrol will be leaving?"

Paxlo smiled and nodded "I'll be there in 5". The screen went blank.

[Shade Leshyr]

Biting back a squeal of delight, Shade stood and turned to Sasha, "Well, we've got a place to lay low until we finish figuring out what to do. Let's go let the others know." It took everything Shade had not to break into a giddy skip as he forced himself to walk back to the others. Looking at them, he spoke only loud enough for the group to hear him, "Well, we have a ride out back in five."

Cain thanks the doctor and takes a seat somewhere near the rest. "Now... what do we do next? You folks did have a next stage to your break-out plan, right?"

[Daryn]

Ryan signs off with the Professor and then pockets the earpiece and awaits the return call. In the meantime he heads back to see what the rest of the group is doing. He looks over to Shade, "So I guess you managed to get a hold of someone?" he asks curiously, "They're okay with all of us coming?"

[Samantha Arrow]

Nods to the dragon-fox and follows him downstairs to the rest of the group.

[Shade Leshyr]

Shade nodded to Ryan, "Yep, like I said, he'll be around in five. Asked him to meet us out back so the guys out front don't see. How is everything out here, everyone ready to go?"

[Daryn]

Ryan nods, "I'm expecting a call back from someone, but that isn't a big issue since the earpieces are mobile. A couple of us are still getting patched up from what I can tell, but most of us seem to be here and ready to go." he has a look around the room, then spots a nurse, "Oh, if you need the difibrilator, it will work now. You should be able to get about two or three more uses out of it until you have to replace it."

[Buzzwolf]

One of the nurses, having been talking to a patient in the chair next to Mako, overheard his comment. She said curtly "The doctor is busy, you'll have to wait until he can see you" Then she paused, and cocked her head to one side "But I suppose your friends won't leave without you, and we do need the extra space in here. Describe your symptoms and I'll see what I can do"

((OOC, Sorry bout taking so long on this, been in an out here for a few days now, my internet has not been liking me lately...))

Mako leaned his head back against the back of the chair "Oh, just the usual that goes with things bouncing off your head. Pounding headache, gash on my head, the usual." He peeled the makeshift bandage off the gash over his eye to show her as he leaned forward "Just stitch me up an give me some pain killers, I can tough it out an get out of your way from there"

((First nurse is in reply to Buzz, second to Daryn. There were two nurses for a reason you know ))

She tutted, seeing the wound, and delved into her pockets. She pulled out a small bottle and what looked curiously like a home sewing kit. She tipped the bottle slightly over Mako's wound, splashing it with a liquid that stung sharply for several moments, then softened to a dull ache. The nurse then took out a needle and, pushing Mako's head down so she could easily reach, began to stitch the wound together. With the ache from the liquid remaining, there was no pain from the needle. "It's not ideal, I know" she said as she worked "But it'll keep you going. We've not got pain killer to spare, so you'll just have to bite down on something if it gets too bad"

The nurse looked over to Ryan, shocked. "Working again? How do you... I'd better tell Doctor Yotes" With that she hurried off to the next room.

Nowen stepped forward, frowning. "Woah, woah. You disappear for about 5 minutes, and suddenly come back with salvation for us all? I didn't survive this long by blindly following everything I hear. I want details, just who have you contacted?"

[Shade Leshyr]

Shade looked around, making sure no one else was within ear shot and started explaining, "He's a friend of mine, an... entertainer, with a tad more work than me," he chuckled at this, "let's say he knows a guy who doesn't exactly see eye to eye with a certain bunch of top dogs that can help us keep our heads down. Just... be ready for some really unexpected stuff. My friend has a habit of being a little over the top every instance he can, if you know what I mean."

[Daryn]

Ryan shrugs, "The entirety of the last few days have been completely filled with unexpected events, so this shouldn't be too much of a stretch for me." he taps a taloned finger on the tip of his beak. "... it might even be fun." he nods, "and besides, you said yourself we shouldn't hang around here too long."

((As I said in the OOC, there have been a few minutes of time-skip. Just so that the transport has time to arrive))

The front doors opened, and a smartly dressed middle-aged weasel stepped in, looked around and saw Shade. He walked briskly over and held out his paw. "Good day, you must be Mister Shade," he said with an odd drawl "If you and your acquaintances would care to follow me, Mister Paxlo is waiting for you outside"
He gestured to the front doors.

Cain looks to Shade then to the man, then will begin to follow him outside, still holding his bandaged rib with the ice over it.

[Shade Leshyr]

Shade gently gripped Cain's shoulder and shook his head, "Thank you, but my acquaintances and I would prefer to slip out the side door, after all we don't want to get in the way of the people coming in. We'll just step out that way and get on the bus. Don't worry, I'd know that bus a mile away." He slowly lead the others to the side door, stepping out slowly, taking a look around for both the cops and the bus...

"Oh, Uh, okay then." He'll follow Shade then.

"So what's this bus look like?" He asks as Shade steps out.

[Shade Leshyr]

Shade spotted the bus and gave a smirk, "Like that." The vehicle he was referring to was a long limousine style bus, pink in color with white rims along the bottom and blackened out windows. Then his smile faded as he kept looking around. The guards were nowhere to be seen, but he didn't feel like wasting this chance. He motioned for the others to follow and started casually for the bus, whispering over his shoulder, "Like I said, be ready for anything with Pax."

[Daryn]

Ryan looks around for the others. Sasha, Nowen, and the rest... He's not sure what they'll make of this, but at this point Ryan isn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. He follows Shade out the back way to the bus. "Well, that certainly blends in." he notes with a bit of a smirk, which looks kind of odd on his avian face.

[Samantha Arrow]

Sasha followed everyone out and blinked at the sight of the limo. "We're going to stick out like a sore thumb in that. Maybe we should reconsider our transportation...'

[Daryn]

Ryan ponders that a moment, "Well, he did get here without any issue it seems. Maybe sometimes the best place to hide is right in plain sight."

[Dusty]

"My god, I'm surprised Stalwart hasn't destroyed that thing for disturbing the peace yet," Garren muttered. The sight of the thing appalled him, who had the audacity to advertise their wealth in such a manner? Making sure the others weren't watching he keyed his headset. "Right, I'm looking at our transport now, its that bus thing, you should be able to see it on the street cameras, the thing the sticks out like a sore thumb. Just route any patrols away from us," he muttered.

[Arratra]

Gometh stepped out of the clinic to inspect their transport, and his mouth dropped open in shock.
"You can't be serious!" he exclaimed, eyes wide, "We're going in that monstrosity?"

[Daryn]

RYan chuckles softly to himself. "Well, look at it this way, with the tinted windows nobody will be able to see us anyway."

[Brome Teks]

"Well... Okay then. I don't think they'd expect convicts to be riding in that."

[Arratra]

Gometh sighed, shaking his head, but didn't argue. It was true. No one would expect convicts to hide in a vehicle that stood out like a sore thumb, so to speak.
