“Ah perceptive of you,” She said “This form is organic, and if Forebearer is the name for the species that this form represents…” She paused for a moment, “The correct answer would be to say that I was former member of the species. This is an organic avatar that I use to interact with guests should I need to. I am the facilities primary Artificial Intelligence, you are in one of ten temporal computing cores. As for the hanger doors opening bit, that was caused by a logic cycle error in the slave program controlling the hanger doors.” A holographic video link showed the hanger doors closing again; they were now trapped inside the facility.

“Now, arrogant mammal.” It was clear she was talking to the Wurrlen this time her tone changed somewhat as well. “Our Empires maybe gone from this galaxy, but that does not mean we are a dead species. We merely moved from this galaxy, how different would your accent into space would have been had we been around? Having to deal with our conflicts? Such things would have killed new species culturally, quite possibly literally, as a result we left in an effort to preserve the cultural diversity, but some things cannot be moved such as this facility. So I’m here as the facilities caretaker.” When she heard the draconian said it looked like a museum she was fairly amused, “We take pride in our artistic expression. Everything we create will be decorated in some form or another, though such things are normally limited to the interior such as you see back there.” She said pointing to the hallway. “Crouse we are not fools, we settle for paint on the outside of structures where endurance was need.” It seemed as if she was referring to the starship that was in the hanger.

“So because the blast doors opened a bit you decided to come in and poke about. That is forgivable. But I’m also assuming that a few of you came to plunder some technology eons ahead of your own…” She crossed her arms as she said this. “That, I cannot allow, not while this facility is still active.” After she said this a four legged drone landed next to her, it looked similar to a lion though it was clearly artificial. “Well it had been interesting meeting you, but I have things to do…” The small drone opened fire on the group with a rail weapon more powerful than one would think possible for its size as the Female walked away. Though the weapons fire was directed two that carried heavier weapons…

On the bridge this was for the two of them to see in perfect clarity, as that happened many of the interfaces activated. Brought to life by the sudden emergence of the drone and its caretaker.

I listened intently, yearning to learn more of the Forebearers as the grand species I had always imagined them being like. Something so old, so advanced and intelligent surely must not suffer from intolerance or brashness. Listening to what I now understood to be an organic AI Avatar, similar to myself except my own frame was mechanical and not organic. The mention of their art brought my attention back to the murals and displays for a mere fraction of a second, scanning them with my eyes and sensing-suites.

The art was spectacular, and the mention of the Forebeares building everything they had to be appealing was breathtaking too, few species paid any real attention to aesthetic properties if at all, but when she said they weren't a dead species, that they had moved on. My heart, if I had a typical one, would have skipped a beat. The Forebearers were alive!? And in a separate galactic super-body? This reminded me of the Cradle Exodus, when the Ancestors left their original home galaxy and escaped to the stars in the giant vessels which now guarded us against far, that they had left to preserve cultural diversity increased my respect for them towards near infinity, vacating an entire galaxy to allow others to grow.


However the mention of a glitch in the hangar doors slave program worried me greatly as it meant there had been no "invitation" to enter and that we were not even supposed to be here, me and the other two, not even the fourth who had apparently not gotten the invite when the dimensional passageway opened up, our curiosity was "forgivable?" but then...

Without thinking, more like on computerized instinct I should say, I reactivated my helmet, it spreading over and covering up my head as I engaged my projected armor system and positioning myself between the Draconian and Wurrlen, bracing myself against the impacting blows of the now designated enemy Forebearer drone. The blows hit like expected of a magneto-kinetic accelerator, forcefully and harshly, but my barrier weathered the damage like it was little to fear, my power source providing more than enough energy to deflect simple hyper-velocity rounds, though I was worried if this kept up too much the emitters might fail.

"Don't just stand there you two!" I shouted, shouting twice as a matter of fact in both the Draconians and Wurrlens languages thanks to my universal translator having had more than enough time in the past to decipher their language though some words needed modification before they could be effectively translated. "Open fire!"

P.S. If this post needs modification I will do so after speaking with Reaper, I just put it up since he's away atm.

(OOC: Boon and Advanced Armor/shields will be able to take the gun fire without much trouble. Normal shields and armor will be gutted.)

Marrita figured this being would just throw them out. But instead it set a drone on them! "Your quick to choose violence for such an advanced race!" She shouted.

She quickly transferred her shield power into other suit systems, he plasma shielding was only good for energy weapons and even then it wasn't very good. She was better off increasing the power of her suit. "Altinian come here!" Marrita dashed behind the Altinian, she was surprisingly fast. The reason why was she diverted power to her suit's legs. She put her arm wielding the large shield around him, so the thick metal shield was protecting him. She rose her other arm and began to fire her plasma array, it was on full auto and she was only using one hand to use it, so it wasn't' too accurate. "Anyone see cover?!" She shouted, backing away with the Altinian in her arm unless he choose to struggle out of it - but her metal shield was mobile cover more or less.

(OOC: Okay Samantha that was sort of humiliating since he was protecting you guys with his shield, he ran and put himself between you and the drone and asked you to start firing, not for you to shield him with your giant shield, sheesh, read my post...)=

((OOC: I read. That's just what she'd do. She doesn't know much about your shield technology, other than it's just better - as far as she considers energy based shielding is only good for energy, and since the drone is using projectiles, armors would be more effective as far as she knows.))

Cruurtun slammed his mask back up to his face, sealing it quickly. He zoomed sideways on his suit's mobility jets, drawing his rifles. Rail bolts from the drones glanced off the shields, and they shimmered into visibility.
He fired twice, one shot from each beam rifle, but the drone was hardly effected at all; just two scorch marks on its body.
"I would have just left if you'd told me to!" Cruurtun yelled at the room in general; he wasn't sure where the organic avatar of the AI had gone, but was fairly certain she would hear him.

[[Unless Reaper PMed you something Arratra, only one drone drone was pitted on us, and you can't just assume your shields holds up or you destroy the drone, that's a GM descission.]]

(SA, Reaper said that Boon-level shields deflect it easily. Draconian shields are Boon-level; I mentioned it as one of their specialisations. I've edited the drone's destruction out, though. You're right about that part.)
