Local Explosives Magnet
Ammo Types for your RPs.
Hey, I've got a list of ammo types for the starships in my SoF universe but I'd thought I'd play nice and allow you guys to use them. If you have other ammo types of your own feel free to use or add to this list. I'll keep the descriptions open enough for all to use. I'll update and add to the list later.
Solid Projectile
- Standard: These simple shells utilize a simple, ancient, yet proven technique of encapsulating a metallic dart in a cheap, disposable casing that sheds itself after leaving the barrel.
- Canister: Plagued by smaller craft? Are your guns not fast enough to handle the speeds achieved by destroyers and frigates? Or possibly are you just a REALLY bad shot? Then try Canister shells! These rounds aren't a single wimpy dart but instead hundreds of metallic spheres that shred anything unfortunate enough to be in the way!
- High Explosive: We had our heads aching from developing an explosive material capable of detonating in pure vacuum and not when the new guy sneezed. But when it comes to fracturing and ripping apart enemy armor, nothing beats a good boom.
- Fusion: It BURNS! BURNS! BURNS straight through enemy armor plating, cutting vital system conduits, and leaving a smoldering wreck in your wake. Great for parties.
- Fusion High Explosive: Our office parties can be a complete nightmare sometimes. Especially if an alcohol induced blackout happens to merge the fun of High Explosives and with the incendiary properties of Fusion Shells. Fun times... By detonating a fusion warhead first then releasing an High Explosive into the gap, you get twice the bang, twice the fun, and five times as fewer shells because them things are brutal to make.
- Multi-Purpose: Originally developed as a medium to send supplies to extra-planetary colonies, Multi-purpose shells can be configured to hit like a Canister or an High Explosive.
- Nuke: We got into some major trouble for this one. With radioactive materials so sensitive with the public, we waited a few years before releasing these from our warehouses. But nothing is more destructive to a starship's vital computer parts than a 'good ol' nukin'!

12. Doubleshot: Whats better than basic rounds? Four for the price of one! These shells carry three durasteel rods inside, and on impact, a charge is triggered, and the rods are driven through the hull of the ship at double speed, leaving a trail of destruction behind!
13: Limpet: These are nasty little buggers! Volley these onto a ship, and they'll latch on and wait 'till it's near another ship of the same side, and then they'll all explode! Two kills, more often than not, for the price of one!
14: Dark Matter: These little bugger's 'll screw up a radar system like no other! Volley a few at a ship and they'll soon be surrounded by a cloud of radar jamming dark matter particles, leaving it blind in space!
15: Singularity: No, it's not a black hole. These angry little shells have a tiny dose of hypercompressed Black Matter in a magnetic containment sphere, and on impact it creates a gravity flashpoint, supercompressing all the matter around it into a tiny sphere. Needless to say, this can really screw up the hull of a ship!
